MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 61
As soon as Michelle got off the plane, she saw her name flashing in the distance. Upon seeing Nina, she immediately trotted over.
“Nini, Nini, I’m back! I’m back!”
Michelle was running very fast, and in no time at all, she was throwing herself at her friend. Fortunately, Nina had good balance and great strength.
She held the other girl steady.
“Nini, I missed you so much.” Michelle clung to Nina’s neck and laughed merrily.
“I miss you too.” Nina joined in with the laughter, smiling from ear to ear.
Their embrace drew some attention from the passersby, but neither girl noticed.
Amy and Lena pulled their sunglasses down in a synchronous motion, revealing two pairs of burning eyes.
“They look so weird locked in that position,” Amy commented.
“That’s how Mr. Shi always hugs Mrs. Shi,” Lena replied dryly.
Both women’s lips twitched. Did John just get cuckolded by a girl?
After all, they were tasked to protect not only Nina, but John’s position and reputation as well.
“Mrs. Shi, this is the airport. Please calm down.”
“Yes, Mrs. Shi, Miss He. Please pay attention to your manners.”
Amy and Lena reached out to try and pull the girls apart, but Michelle only held Nina more tightly and kept laughing.
“Oh, let me hold Nini a little longer. She smells good. I really miss her.
Nini, let me tell you. That training was so boring. It’s not fun without you.”
‘Well, even if I was there, the training would also be boring,’ Nina thought.

‘Well, even if I was there, the training would also be boring,’ Nina thought. The two of them didn’t have the same hobbies after all.
But Nina did miss Michelle. No one had been babbling into her ears for the past month.
And after hearing that she was just as missed, Nina was awash with pleasure. It felt good to have Michelle as her friend.
Nina had made the same birthday wish for so many years, and now it had come true.
“Ha-ha!” Nina’s laughter sounded like tinkling bells.
And the more Amy and Lena looked at the pair, the more suspicious they became of their relationship. They were left with no choice but to separate Michelle from Nina, even if they had to offend Nina.
“Mrs. Shi, it’s time to go and have dinner.”
“Miss He must be hungry as well. Let’s go and eat first. Mr. Shi has ordered a lot of Miss He’s favorite dishes.”
“Ham and goose liver paste, baked snails, oysters, salmon, scallops, chocolate mousse cake…”
As expected, the mention of food distracted Michelle’s attention, and she finally let go of Nina. She still took the other girl’s hand though. “Let’s go to have dinner. They’ll be serving your favorite seafood.”
“Okay, let’s go.” Both girls walked off hand in hand.
Amy and Lena heaved a sigh of relief. They had been bodyguards for so long and had never encountered such a difficult situation.
They put back their sunglasses and looked cool again.
However, without any of them knowing, the scene just now had been witnessed by Leon and Wynn.
Wynn smiled with a measure of satisfaction. “It’s just as I said, Leon. Michelle is Nina’s best friend. Who would have expected someone else to be so close to Nina besides you? She was laughing so happily just now.”
“Yes, I have never seen her with such an expression back at home. It seems that my decision to let her go was right.” Leon felt gratified. That didn’t mean that his yearning for his sister had been eased, and he was soon speeding up in the direction that she left.

Wynn had been leisurely nodding his head in agreement to the prince’s words, and when he turned to look at his friend, he found Leon already far up ahead. “Leon! Leon, where are you going?” It didn’t take Wynn to catch up to the prince.
Being of similar heights, their strides were more or less of equal lengths, and they turned several heads as they threaded through the crowd.
And who could blame the onlookers? One man was graceful, while the other looked like a strapping young hero out on a quest. If this were in a campus or a concert, a bunch of females would be screaming their heads off by now.
“I’m going to go see Nini of course.” They managed to get to the driveway outside the airport just as Nina was bending down to get in the car.
Michelle had gone in first and was seated at the back. She turned to find a familiar man a short distance away. His astonishingly beautiful face was exactly the same as Nina’s.
“Nini, Nini, it’s that man, look! I’ve seen him in Spring City, too. He really looks like you.” Michelle was excited over this playful little coincidence, and she was bouncing as she pointed in Leon’s direction.
The man seemed to be walking towards them.
“Nini, that man is coming over. Is he perhaps looking for you? Do you know him?” Michelle’s eyes widened and her tone took on a serious note.
Hearing this, Nina straightened and looked back.
The first thing she saw was Leon’s blinding smile, and before anything else could register, she heard his voice call out her name.
“Nini!”
“Brother?” Nina mumbled the word, taken aback and confused. A beat passed, and her surprise was replaced with an overwhelming burst of joy.
Leon stopped midway and opened his arms wide, his smile still as bright and warm as spring.
“Come here, Nini.”
For a moment Nina felt like she was transported back to when she was a spoiled little princess, and she picked up her feet and bounded towards her brother.
“Brother!”
It really was Leon, her brother. He came for her.
She had always thought that Michelle saw it wrong, but it turned out to be true.
Like a child presented with a big pile of candies, Nina happily pounced on her brother and threw her hands around his neck.
Leon caught her and spun around with his sister tucked in his arms.
The sound of the siblings’ joyful laughter was very pleasant to anyone watching, and their similar, beautiful faces were even more pleasant to the eyes.
Nina reveled in the feeling of flying high out in open air again.
The royal family of C Island had been like a birdcage, and Nina was a canary, trapped and unable to soar out into the world.
Leon had always known of his sister’s inner thoughts, and since they were both powerless against their parents, he would often carry Nina high in the air in an attempt to capture the feeling of being free.
And even just for a few short-lived moments, little Nina had felt very happy.
Now that she was all grown up, Leon couldn’t carry her as high in the air as before, but he could certainly still hold her in his arms.
“Nini, how have you been these years? Have you been eating well?” Leon stopped spinning, but still held his sister close.
He finally found her.
Nina stood on tiptoe and rubbed her brother’s shoulder. She gave him a wide grin, but her eyes were rimmed red.
“Leon, I missed you so much.”
How she had yearned for him!
“I’ve missed you too.” Leon patted his sister’s head and smiled at her dotingly.
At this point, Michelle got out of the car. She observed Nina and Leon with her head cocked to the side. “So he really is Nini’s brother. No doubt about it, they look exactly the same. They are both so beautiful.”
Michelle was calm, while Amy and Lena were going crazy.
It didn’t matter if that stranger was Nina’s brother. He was a man!
How could they just stand by and let a man hug Nina?
John had told them that no man was allowed to get close to Nina, regardless of who he was, or whether he was aged ninety-nine or was just learning to walk.
Even Michelle was walking a tightrope in that department, despite being a woman.
Now came this other person who was said to be Nina’s brother, clutching her with obvious adoration. He was a man! Something bad was going to happen if John found out!
John wouldn’t blame his wife, of course, he could never. This meant that the two bodyguards would be the ones facing the consequences.
Amy whipped off her sunglasses again and put them into her pocket. “What are you looking at? Separate the two of them!”
“Yes, right away.” Amy and Lena hurriedly ran to the siblings.
They stood in front of Nina and Leon, both of them giving off an aggressive energy.
“Mrs. Shi, we apologize, but we need to remind you that you are married.”
‘Please don’t get close to another man,’ they thought.
