- MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2
- Season 3 Episode 59 - (Too young to Have got married)
Hearing what Wynn said, Leon seemed to have guessed what he was going to say next.
There was only one thing that could agitate Leon.
That was his sister getting married. Two years ago, Leon’s parents wanted Nina to marry Count Nangong. Nina was only eighteen years old then.
He could not let her get married at such a young age.
That was why she wanted to run away from C Island, and Leon helped her.
He did not help her escape a marriage so that she could jump right into another one.
“If it’s not something about my sister that goes too far, I won’t react harshly.” Leon took a sip of his coffee, set the cup back on the saucer, and opened a new magazine. He looked calm and composed.
Wynn thought, ‘News of the princess’ marriage shouldn’t be too much.
She seems to like that man very much.’ “Well, she is married, and her husband is—”
Before he could finish,
Leon tore apart the magazine he was holding. The crisp sound made Wynn stop abruptly. Looking at the murdered glossy paper, Wynn suddenly felt worried and sorry for John.
The magazine was neatly torn in half, and its remains now rested at Leon’s feet.
“Nini is married? That’s too much. My sister is still young.” Leon spoke calmly, but he was clenching his fists and gritting his teeth like he was actively stopping himself from destroying everything around him.
Wynn was sure that if Nina’s husband were here, he would end up in pieces like the magazine.
The prince would tear him in half, and that was the least he could do.

Wynn wanted to calm Leon down, so he raised his two fingers and said, “Nina is twenty years old now.”
“See? She has her whole life ahead of her. How could that man take advantage of her? He has gone too far. I won’t allow this.” Leon’s eyes were filled with anger. He wished he could fly to Lexingport City right now and park his fist in the face of his sister’s husband.
Nina did not want to get married so she ran away from C Island.
She must have been forced to get married.
That was the only explanation.
Wynn pursed his lips and looked at Leon. He began to feel conflicted.
He had not even gotten to the worst part of his news. Leon was already angry to find out that his sister was married.
Wynn could only imagine an even worse reaction from Leon when he told him that that man was thirty years old.
Nina married a man who was ten years older than she was.
She was now sharing a roof and a bed with a cradle robber.
It was going to send Leon over the edge.
He would never forgive that man for stealing his sister away. Today was not a good day for Wynn to be the messenger.
‘Damn it!
There is really no way to phrase this without infuriating him,’ Wynn thought. “Calm down, Leon. Here, have some coffee.” Wynn tried to soothe Leon.
He passed him a fresh cup of coffee. Leon took it and gulped it down.
It was an entire cup of Americano!
An Americano without sugar was rather bitter.
Leon was in an even worse mood now.

“Leon, let’s not think about it for the time being. Let me tell you something else about Nina. In the past two years, she has made many good friends.” Wynn changed the subject.

Nina had wanted to have friends since she was a child, but she did not have many because of her identity.
She spent most of her childhood by herself and constantly surrounded by servants. She had always wondered what it was like to have a group of friends that she trusted and enjoyed spending time with.
Every year on her birthday where all she had for company was her elder brother, Nina made a wish that someday, she would make many friends and create memories with them.
It would make Leon happy that her wish had finally come true.
“Really?” The anger in Leon’s entire body winked out. He knew that his sister had always wanted to have many friends. He found himself smiling from ear to ear.
“How many? What she wanted most was to make friends. Now that she has many, she must be very happy.”
“Indeed she is.” Wynn heaved a sigh of relief. “Her best friend is named Michelle He. She is the lady I mentioned to you last time. She’s a foodie and interested in making weird and horrible dishes. I was almost poisoned to death.”
He began to tell Wynn what he had found out, but he only reported the good news and left out the bad.
He could not report the bad news at this time. If he did, Leon would definitely vent his anger on him, and he did not want that.
To avoid Leon’s wrath, he decided to only tell Wynn the pieces of information that would make him happy.
“Michelle is very kind to Nina, and she always sends her food whenever she cooks. She may have tried poisoning me, but she’ll never do that to Nina.”
Wynn swore that Michelle was so good to Nina that she thought of her whenever she cooked something delicious.
If it were not for Michelle’s blabbing about Nina every day, Wynn would not have asked who Nina was.
He was shocked when he found out the answer.
She was the little princess.
“Just her?” Leon frowned. His sister wanted a lot of friends.
“Of course not.” Wynn shook his head. “There’s a man called James Shi, a member of the Shi family, one of Lexingport City’s three most powerful families. He has a good relationship with Nina.
There’s also another one named Noah Ye, the leader of the criminal investigation team of Lexingport City Police and a member of the Ye family, another one of the city’s three major families.”
“She’s friends with two men?” This surprised Leon a little but also made him feel gratified. His sister was so charming that she not only made a female friend but also made male friends.
She had three friends now.
Leon nodded slightly with a smile on his face.
“How are they? I mean, it doesn’t matter to me whether they come from rich families or not. All I care about is their characters. Do they treat my sister well?”
After thinking for a while, Wynn answered, “Yes, they do. Although James is idle, he is a good man. As for Noah, he didn’t take over the family business. He chose to be a police officer, which could mean that he is honorable and righteous.
What’s more, Noah is now the unofficial richest man in Lexingport City. His aunt and uncle are traveling around the world at the moment, and all their real estate and businesses are registered under his name.”
Wynn could not help feeling envious of Noah. Noah was almost as rich as Count Nangong, but he had no power.
“You sure took your sweet time investigating his financial status. Are you jealous of this Noah?” Leon shook his head and flashed Wynn a knowing smile.
Wynn guessed what Leon was thinking. He raised his eyebrows and replied, “No one in their right mind would dislike money.”
Leon chuckled but said nothing.
Another person came to Wynn’s mind. “Oh, there’s another one. Nina just made friends with her recently. She’s a straight-A student named Emma Lin, Michelle’s cousin.”
Leon’s bright eyes twinkled with joy and love. He smiled, exposing rows of perfect, white teeth. He felt so happy for his sister.
He counted carefully, “A foodie, a straight-A student, a Shi, and the leader of the criminal investigation team who is also the unofficially richest man in Lexingport City.
Nini has assembled quite a powerful group of friends.”
‘She is not only good at making friends.
Her husband is even more powerful, a cold and ruthless man,’ Wynn thought to himself.
On his tenth birthday, he used a knife to kill the gangster who was sent to abduct him. As a businessman, he was resolute in conducting his affairs.
But unfortunately, he was not the ideal son-in-law in the eyes of Nina’s parents. In terms of power, family fame, and reputation, John only possessed family fame.
He was no match for Count Nangong. “Alas, he’s ten years older than Nina.” Wynn was so lost in his thoughts that he blurted it out without realizing it.
Knitting his brows, Leon looked at him and asked, “Who’s ten years older than Nini?”

Wynn was rendered speechless. He put his hand over his mouth and cursed under his breath.
‘Damn it! Did I just say that out loud? Now Leon will order me to tell him everything.’
“Are you talking about Nini’s husband?” Leon asked with a serious face.
Wynn shivered at the coldness of Leon’s stare. His tongue froze as his heart started racing.
‘I’m screwed! Why did I say those words?’
