MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 58
It was two o’clock in the afternoon. Beams of sunshine seeped through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows and into the large waiting area. The international airport of Spring City had been built close to the sea, and a briny breeze would often passed by the massive establishment.
Mingling among the crowd at present was young girl who was enjoying an ice cream, her head bent down. With her was a middle-aged man who was dragging a suitcase behind him.
His hair was long and messy, and the blowing wind wasn’t helping. He was also unshaven. He wore a white short-sleeved T-shirt, and a pair of light gray shorts that went just below his knees. The man was 1.8 meter tall, and the girl was less than 1.6 meter tall. When they walked together, they looked strangely harmonious.
A lot of people gave them second glances.
The pair finally stopped walking when they neared the lounge. Paul took a plane ticket out of his pocket and put it in Michelle’s hand. “You will have to wait for the plane by yourself. I need to take care of something important, so I won’t be accompanying you from here.”
“Thank you, Paul. Bye.” Michelle’s hair was tied back behind her ears. A neat curtain of bangs hung over her bright eyes. She gave the man a broad smile as she spoke, revealing a smudge of ice cream stuck at the corner of her mouth. She looked cute.
So cute in fact, that she was catching the attention of more and more people. They all thought this girl was adorable.
Paul, on the other hand, wasn’t interested in her cuteness at all. He had been training her for more than a month, and had almost died in her hands on several occasions.
She had always tricked him, whether in training or in real life. Whenever she did something wrong, she would flash her cute smile and said it was Paul’s idea.
He bore the brunt of the consequences, of course, eventually leading to his name being permanently tainted.
She was such a foodie that she could eat nonstop. Strangely, she didn’t get weight.
“Watch what you eat. You have ice cream on the corner of your mouth. You’re not a child anymore, you’re twenty years old.
Be more careful.” Paul produced a tissue from one of his pockets and wiped her mouth. This was a usual scene for them.
“Again? Never mind. Didn’t you have something important to do? Go ahead with your business, I can take it from here.” Michelle gave him a bright and cheery smile that made her rosy cheeks bulge.
“All right, I’ll be leaving then. Make sure to note the time. It won’t be my fault if you end up missing your flight.” Paul pivoted abruptly and left without looking back once, not even waving his hand.
It took him all of two strides before he was practically trotting away from her. Michelle blinked her eyes. “Why is he running? I didn’t cook any horrible food today.”
Michelle took a fancy to cook horrible food. However, it was easy for her to cook something delicious, but it was a little difficult to make it taste bad.
She cooked every day and asked Paul to try it. Maybe it was because she had a natural sensitivity to food and seasonings that no matter how she cooked, it would taste good.
Then she came up with an idea—she covered her nose and eyes while cooking, and horrible food was produced.
Paul had only taken a single bite and ended up puking for two days.
Since then, Michelle had begun to study different horrible dishes every day.
It almost caused Paul to lose his life.
As a result, as soon as Paul saw her cooking, he ran away like a frightened bird.
“Goodbye, Paul.” Michelle was still reluctant to leave Paul. After all, only he was willing to taste the food she had cooked.
No, the fact was that he was never willing to consume the food she made.
But Jacky had always put pressure on him, dropping Michelle’s connection to Elk and lamenting how they would never be able to explain things to Elk if Michelle was harmed or displeased in any way.
As soon as Paul heard Elk’s name, he had submitted himself to all forms of slaver that came to Michelle’s mind.
He had learned of Elk’s true name from Michelle a while back, and her identity alone had him trembling with fear.
Elk was actually the little princess of the C Island.
The first time that he had heard the fact, he very nearly broke down.
And so, because Michelle was Nina’s good friend, Paul had no choice but to obediently eat up whatever horrible food the girl came up with.
Paul’s real name was Wynn Luo, and he was a friend and servant of the prince of C Island, Leon Lu.

Ever since Leon Lu had helped Nina escape two years ago, he had been constantly worried about her. He had sent Paul to look for her. Investigations had led him to Lexingport City, and Paul found himself joining THO in order to better his opportunities of finding the princess.
Despite that, his efforts were always met with failure.
It wasn’t until Michelle had dropped the bomb that he got to know the princess had become a famous hacker called Elk.
‘Damn it.
How was I able to find a master hacker such as Elk?
By the way, is Her Royal Highness actually a devil?’
He had been the one to teach her the ropes in hacking two years ago.
It didn’t take her long to reach Level 7. It was no wonder that even Jacky himself, THO’s head, was bowing down to her.
Paul had some suspicion that the princess might be pretending that she had known nothing about hacking. Wynn Luo felt bad.
While contemplating his grievances to himself, he headed to one of the bathrooms in the airport and proceeded to change his clothes.
He disposed of his messy wig, shaved his beard, and donned a formal suit.
He opted to forgo a necktie; he didn’t like being bound in any manner.
Thus, he entered the men’s room as a sloppy middle-aged man, and emerged a tall and handsome man.
His hair was trimmed in a crew cut, and with his clothes, he radiated a vibrant energy.
This was the real Wynn Luo, who was only twenty-four years old.
The most important thing for him to do now was to go and see the prince.
Wynn Luo took out another phone and clicked on the WeChat. Leon Lu had already been waiting for the plane in the VIP lounge.
The deluxe VIP room was quiet. From time to time, the joyful clink of wine glasses rang in the room.
There was only one man who looked to be taking his leisure, and he was seated by a French window. A cup of coffee sat on the table before him, next to a spread magazine that had been forgotten. He was looking out to the sea.
In the midst of those waters, far from the naked eye, was C Island.
Leon Lu was a little over six feet tall, and he had a lanky build. Today he was dressed in a black suit with a very neat tie. His long legs were crossed as he immersed himself in his reverie.
“Your Royal Highness.” Wynn Luo also had a good figure, and the two men made a rather striking pair, although Wynn looked stronger than Leon.
In people’s eyes, Wynn Luo was still thin. The people of C Island liked to say that he, the champion of the fighting competition, looked weak.
“You don’t have to call me like that outside the island. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Just call me Leon.”
Leon’s voice was cool and clear, like a gurgling mountain spring, soothing and somewhat melodic.
He turned away from the sea at last to look at Wynn Luo. He had a handsome face, almost identical to Nina’s, only with more masculine details. Still, he exuded a gentle beauty, like some dainty piece of art.
When Wynn Luo was a child, he had been chosen to stay by Leon Lu’s side. They had studied together, played together, and more importantly, he protected the prince.

In the eyes of the others, Wynn Luo was a mere guard, but Leon Lu treated him like his friend.
“Leon, I have something important to tell you, something to do with your sister. Please don’t overreact after hearing it.”
Wynn Luo felt it important to give a warning in advance.
Once Leon Lu learned that his sister was claimed by another man, he would probably take a knife and kill the man himself. He would probably even kill all of the man’s family members.
He would then pickle this man into dried meat and eat it with his finest wine.
