John and Nina were only whispering to each other, but from the sofa, it seemed like they were doing something more.

Dora had seen her parents show off their love many times, but she had never seen John and Nina show off. She had to learn from them.

But every parent in the world worried about their children and the direction their lives were taking. Daniel and Angela might have entrusted James to John, but they still cared about their son’s life very much.

Daniel flashed a meaningful smile and said, “Your mother’s right. We don’t know of any other lady friends that you have except for Delia and Sheila.”

The hopeless expression on Daniel’s and Angela’s faces annoyed James deeply. He raised his voice and asked, “What’s that supposed to mean? Don’t you think your son is husband material?”

“Mom and Dad want you to bring my future sister-in-law home for dinner, not your friend,” Dora said, rolling her eyes. Her brother could be so stupid sometimes.

No wonder her parents no longer allowed him to spend so much time with her.

With a weird look on his face, James said,

Mom, Dad, don’t misunderstand. Mimi and I are really just good friends. We’re not involved in a romantic relationship. If you don’t believe me, you can ask Aunt Nina.”
