MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 38
Mr. Wu held the will in his hands. Just as he announced the terms, a huge uproar broke out. Naturally, he felt nervous as he sighed inwardly.
No wonder Albert would rather support Linn than give his mother a penny. Adrian retorted, “I don’t need it. It’s the shares Albert left to Evelyn.”
Adrian always knew that his mother was partial to him.
In response, he felt sorry for his siblings.
How could he stomach taking anything away from his sister?
Ella’s face darkened. “Adrian, don’t talk nonsense. What do you mean you don’t need it? You’re our eldest son. Albert is dead which means you’re the head of the Song family now. Likewise, the Song Group is yours now. If you don’t have shares, how could you lead the company?”
Back when Adrian was younger, he thought his mother was the best. After all, she always gave him what he wanted. However, as he grew older, he gradually realized that his mother wasn’t as great as he thought her to be.
He began to notice how she would do things that hurt Albert.
Adrian was at a loss. There was a part of him that feared Albert’s revenge and there was also a part of him that longed to atone for his sins.
Albert was dead and his mother wasn’t even mourning. Instead, she was fighting for the family property.
Adrian couldn’t stand it anymore. For the first time, he scolded his mother. “Mom, Albert’s gone. Can you stop it? All the success that the Song Group enjoys today is because of Albert. He’s gone now. His will clearly states how he wants to distribute the shares. That’s his right. You have no right to interfere.”
“Why don’t I have the right? I’m his mother. I gave birth to him. He wouldn’t have been able to do any of these things without me.” Ella’s face twisted in anger.
All her class and sophistication seemed to fly out the window.
Standing by the side, Noah suddenly chimed in, “Mrs. Song, of all the people, you have the least right to blame him.
Not once did you act like his mother. Isn’t this a little ironic coming from you?”
Noah knew very well what Albert had gone through in the past. He knew how difficult Albert’s life was in the Song family—even far more difficult than his own childhood in the Ye family.
He knew Albert had Kristina by his side to protect him but other than that, Albert mostly only had himself.
Until now, he didn’t know how Albert had managed to survive those years.
It wasn’t until that moment that Ella noticed Noah. Triggered, she couldn’t believe that her most obedient son was scolding her. She turned and pointed a finger at Noah. “What is he doing here?
This is our family business. Why would someone from Ye family be here?”
Mr. Wu explained, “Well, I’m just following Mr. Albert Song’s instructions.
According to him, in addition to the Song family, Noah needs to be present for the reading of his will as well. After all, in Mr. Song’s will, all of his real estate property under his name belongs to Noah.”
“What?” Ella exclaimed, eyes widened.
Noah, who was standing next to her, seemed just as shocked.
Before Kristina passed, she had transferred all of her property to Noah’s name. He couldn’t believe that Albert had done the same thing.
“Mr. Wu?” Noah prompted, looking at Mr. Wu in confusion, hoping for some more answers.
Mr. Wu handed the will to them and briefly stated, “60% of Mr. Albert Song’s shares in the Song Group belong to Miss Evelyn Song. Since Miss Song is still a minor, the shares will be temporarily placed under Mr. Adrian Song’s name.
Mr. Albert Song wished for Mr. Adrian Song to manage the company until such time that Miss Song turns 18 and is competent enough to take over. Until then, Mr. Adrian Song is the CEO of Song Group. When Miss Evelyn Song turns 18, she will take over as the CEO of Song Group.
If she chooses to do so, she’s free to transfer 25% of her shares to Mr. Adrian Song when but only when she turns 18.
In that case, he will remain as the CEO of Song Group while she will be the biggest shareholder of Song Group.”
By the time Mr. Wu had finished speaking, Adrian was visibly stunned. As far as he was concerned, Albert hated him for indulging his mother in mistreating Albert when he was a child.
So when Mr. Wu mentioned the will, he assumed that he wouldn’t have anything to do with it. Even if he took the position as CEO of the Song Group, he knew it didn’t mean anything.
This was the last thing he expected.
“Mr. Song hoped that you could take care of Miss Song. He said that you’re the only one in this household that he believes in and trusts to protect her,” Ford suddenly said, casting a sincere look at Adrian.

Adrian’s heart ached.
His nose twitched in uneasiness.
Ella calmed down knowing that Evelyn would be able to transfer 25% of her shares to Adrian.
All she needed to do was wait for Evelyn to turn 18; then she could force Evelyn to transfer the shares.
Things could still work out in her favor.
Silence fell upon them as Mr. Wu skimmed the room with his eyes. The entirety of the Song family was present but Andy remained silent throughout.
Sadness filled Andy. As a father, he couldn’t help but feel sorry for Albert. “Mr. Wu, go on,” Andy choked out, finally opening his mouth for the first time. Since Mr. Wu worked for Albert for a long time, he knew very well just how cruel the Song family could be to Albert. Mr. Wu himself was a father so it broke his heart to witness how much Albert had suffered.
If it wasn’t for the will, Mr. Wu wouldn’t go anywhere near the Song family.
He flashed a kind smile when he noticed the tears pooling in the corners of Andy’s eyes.
If only Albert knew that someone in the Song family genuinely cared about him, maybe Albert would have less resentment.
“Mr. Albert Song’s shares goes to Miss Evelyn Song while his real estate property goes to Noah. He has about 200 million cash. 100 million goes to charity and the other 100 goes to Miss Linn.”
“Linn?” Ella spat. “What the hell does Linn have anything to do with this? How did Albert even find her? Why would that bitch get 100 million? She’s just a servant. I fired her a long time ago!”
Unable to stand it any longer, Andy stood up and slapped Ella cross the face.
Indignantly, he said, “Because Linn treated Albert better than you did!”
The impact caused Ella to fall to the floor. Her hair was a mess as her face reddened from the slap.
It seemed that Andy had hit her pretty hard.
“Andy, how dare you hit me?” Ella clutched her face and glowered at Andy.
“You hit me over a dead man?”
“Mom, stop.” Toby immediately rushed over to Ella to help her up but she pushed him away.
“Leave me alone. Let me just say this out loud. Andy, you want to do this, huh? I’m going to destroy you. Do you really think I’m oblivious to all the affairs you’ve had?”
In a rage, Andy raised his hand as if he was about to hit Ella again. However, Adrian stopped him. “Dad, stop it.”
Adrian then turned to his mother who was on the floor. “Mom, you too. Stop it. Albert is my brother. You’re the one who mistreated him.”
“You…” Ella was seething as she raised her trembling hand.
Andy bellowed, “At the end of the day, you’re still an illegitimate daughter. That can be embarrassing at times, you know. I married you because I was blinded.
Consequently, I allowed you make such a mess out of this family.
We’re getting a divorce after Albert’s burial.”
Ella got up and stared Andy down. “If you divorce me, I’ll ruin you.”
Sneering, Andy pulled Toby to his side and said through gritted teeth, “Do you really think I don’t know whose son Toby is?”
Then he glanced at the butler.
The butler jumped in fear as he lowered his head, palms dripping with sweat.
Taken aback, Ella asked, “Wait. What are you talking about?”
