Nina could sense through John’s hoarse voice that it took all of his self-control to speak properly.

Nina didn’t pay much attention to the injury on her arm. Instead, she moved closer to John and whispered into his ear, “It doesn’t matter.”

John’s eyes darted towards her face. He swallowed thickly and his voice became hoarser.

“I don’t want to hurt you,” he said.

A soft smile formed in Nina’s lips. She reluctantly got down from him and kissed his lips. “Honey, I love you.”

John swallowed again, and his Adam’s apple could be seen bobbing up and down.

Nina’s words almost killed him.

As soon as he heard those magic words from Nina, John fell right into her palm. “Honey, I love you too.” His kiss was light and sweet.

The both of them stared into each other’s eyes, slowly savoring the moment.

John broke the kiss and placed a hand gently over Nina’s cheek. The tingling feeling from his stubble made her smile.
“Honey, I have a good idea.” John pulled Nina closer to him and she lay on top of his body.

“As long as you lead everything, I won’t hurt you.” John’s eyes were filled with eagerness. The excitement in his voice told Nina that he couldn’t wait any longer.

Nina’s couldn’t help but laugh and it was like music to his ears.

“So, let me do it!” A faint smile appeared on her face. She did not bother beating around the bush.

John’s eyes were filled with lust as he stared at the woman on top of him.

He didn’t know if he could still control himself any longer.

Outside the ward, Henry and Richard were currently waiting.

Henry glanced over at his watch with a concerned look. “It’s been more than an hour.”

Richard only shrugged in return. His back was to the door, and he wore his usual cold expression while looking straight ahead.

The silence on the corridor made people hear the unstable breathing of the two people inside the ward, particularly John’s panting.

On the other hand, no sound came out from Nina.

Based on the noise coming from inside, it made the two men guarding the door think that something didn’t seem right.

“Go and call the doctor here,” Richard suddenly ordered.

Henry raised his eyebrows and stared at him. “What you said makes sense.”

He immediately made some calls. Not long after, people started to appear. One of them was Brian, John’s attending doctor. Besides, an andrologist and a gynecologist also came.

Four men and one woman stood outside the door of the ward. All of them acted awkwardly and no one dared to look at each other.

As they waited, they would hear grunts and ragged breathing. After a little while, the noise had seem to have finally ended.

Everyone immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Henry was about to knock on the door when he heard John and Nina talking.

After eavesdropping on their conversation, Henry found his face turning red.

The conversation between them was too embarrassing.

“Honey, why didn’t you make any sound while we did it?” John had been pondering about that for a while.

When Adrian told him that it might be his problem, he actually refused to believe it. However, when Nina kept on biting her lips after several times, he couldn’t help but think otherwise.

He stared at Nina’s swollen lips and slowly grazed his fingers over them.

Some of the swollen parts were bitten by him, and some were because of Nina herself.

“Did I do anything wrong?” John’s soft voice tickled in her ear.

A blush crept on Nina’s cheeks. “Don’t you like quiet women?”

Nina blinked her innocent eyes, and her eyelashes fluttered like butterflies.

John was at a loss for words. He could only stare back at the woman in front of him.

Was this the reason why Nina would rather bite herself than make any noise?
“Don’t you like me being quiet?” Nina’s innocent eyes flickered and John didn’t have the heart to disagree.

He did like the silence.

However, it was an entirely different matter when it came to making love.

“I don’t like you to be quiet whenever we have sex,” he finally said. Then, John gave her a light peck on the lips and smiled.

Nina still felt clueless when it came to matters like these. “So you want me to…”

“Yes.” John couldn’t help but place a palm over his forehead and cut off her words quickly.

He had a mixed expression on his face as he pinched her cheeks. “Don’t say it out loud or people will hear you.”

John didn’t want to lose his dignity because of this matter.

The five people who were currently outside the door finally looked at each other.

They had definitely heard every word of their conversation.

The gynecologist was an old woman, and she felt really uncomfortable standing around the young and hot-blooded men currently surrounding her especially after what they had just witnessed. Not long after, she decided to make up an excuse to leave.

“I don’t think there’s something wrong with Mrs. Shi. I have to go now.”

Sensing an opportunity, the andrologist followed her closely. “Mr. Shi is fine. I’m leaving as well.”

Brian shrugged his shoulders and was about to leave too when Henry stopped him. “Wait, you might need to check Mr. Shi’s waist.”

Since John was advised by the doctor to not engage in any form of exercise, Henry worried that his waist would be more or less injured after the incident. After all, John had no principles when he was with his wife.

While the two men were talking, Richard suddenly knocked on the door. “Mr. Shi, Dr. Brian is here.”

The clear voice the rang out through the area made Henry stare blankly at Richard.

“Can’t you let Mr. and Mrs. Shi have a good talk first?”

Richard merely glanced at Henry. “When Mr. Shi’s waist is recovered, then they can do it for a lifetime.”

Henry’s mouth hung open.

“Richard is right.” Brian opened the door and walked in as soon as John gave the permission to enter.

Nina quickly fixed up her clothes and walked towards the sofa. She was so red that she randomly picked up a book to cover her face.

John had told her that when it came to sex, a man’s satisfaction would depend on the noise his woman would make.

Nina realized that she had it all wrong.

John took another glance at Nina’s embarrassed reaction and he couldn’t help but smile.

His gentle eyes were blazing through the magazine. The top half of Nina’s head peeped for a bit, showing her eyes that were shining bright like the stars.

When her eyes met John’s, she quickly buried herself under the book she was pretending to read.

She couldn’t help but blush once again while she hid her face. It was really so embarrassing.

“Mr. Shi, allow me to check on you.” Brian uncovered the quilt and reached out to touch John’s waist. As soon as he touched him, his hand felt wet.

The wound on John’s waist had cracked.
After making sure he wasn’t wrong, Brian had concluded that John’s waist was broken again.

He didn’t know whether to sigh or to laugh.

John really did spoil his wife to the point that he neglected his injuries.

John flinched in pain. Seeing Brian’s face, he immediately knew that something was wrong.

“She doesn’t know,” he whispered to Brian. He gave the doctor a knowing look, as if trying to tell him that he should not say anything in front of Nina.

John’s actions were another eye opener for Brian.

“Mr. Shi, we need to do another examination,” Brian said seriously. He pressed the button by the bed side. When the nurse appeared, Brian ordered her to push John away.

Nina’s face had a flash of concern. “Doctor, is there something wrong with him?”

“Rest assured, Mrs. Shi. It’s nothing serious.” He didn’t have the heart to tell her that he needed to undergo an operation again.

John grabbed her hand and gently touched it with his lips. “Wait for me here.”

Nina pursed her lips. The concern in her eyes couldn’t be mistaken. “Okay.”

While Nina was preoccupied, a nurse came in to change the bed sheets. There was blood on the bed sheets from John’s injury, and the nurse deliberately hid them so that Nina wouldn’t see.

Two hours had passed when John finally returned with Brian. After settling John on the bed, the doctor looked over to Nina. “Mrs. Shi, your husband isn’t allowed to exercise for the next half month. Remember, it’s half a month. He can’t engage in any form of exercise under any circumstance.”

Brian knew that it was useless to tell this to John, so he made sure to let his wife know.

It seemed that understanding had finally dawned upon Nina, and another blush crept on her cheeks. “I understand. No exercise for half a month.”

John scowled and glared at the doctor. From one week to half a month.

He might end up being a monk after half a month of no sex.

Henry couldn’t help shaking his head and rubbing his forehead.

There was no one for John to blame but himself.
