MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 29

Ford was a little uneasy, so instead of leaving he stood nearby to guard Albert and Kristina.

These two people helped Ford a lot throughout his life and he was forever indebted.

What they all didn’t know was that there was another person spying on them. Isabella hid behind a pot of camellia beside the lake, peering through the plants to see.

She managed to hear everything Albert said to Ford.

“I can’t believe that Mr. Song is going to take revenge for that bitch, Nina.” Isabella had so much resentment in her heart. She turned around and quietly snuck away.

She was going to kill Nina tonight by any means necessary.

She needed revenge and she needed it now. Nina was going to pay for bankrupting the Zhang family and most of all, she was going to pay for seducing Albert.

Isabella went back to the underground lab and called in a group of bodyguards, all of whom were Albert’s men and worked under Ford.

“Mr. Song asked me to secretly transfer Mr. and Mrs. Shi. Take them out. Remember to be quiet and don’t disturb anyone else.”

“Yes.” Isabella worked for their boss and since Ford and Albert weren’t here, they had to listen to her.

Isabella took them to the storage room and waved her hand. Four burly bodyguards stepped forward to take John and Nina into their clutches.

“What are you doing?” John protected Nina behind him. He glanced at the guards with his sharp eyes, striking fear into their hearts. They didn’t dare move any closer.

Isabella was no longer the girl she used to be. She was with Albert every day and he was no less wicked than John.

If she could be deterred by a simple glance, Albert wouldn’t have her by his side.

“Mr. Shi, we’re just moving you to a new place.” Isabella smiled. “If you don’t want anything to happen to your wife, you’d better listen and go with me.”

John squinted his eyes shooting a sharp gaze through his steely expression. Isabella couldn’t help shivering, but she persevered and stood her ground.

“Do you want to know what Nina was taken to do today?”

Isabella was preying on John’s only weakness, Nina.

He took Nina’s hand and said coldly, “We can walk on our own.”

“Good choice.” Isabella sneered and walked out, letting the guards escort John and Nina.

John’s warm palm gave Nina a sense of comfort. At this point she actually wasn’t even worried at all.

She couldn’t figure out what Isabella was going to do though.

“Our plan is pretty much hopeless now. There are so many people here. How can we escape?” Nina held John’s arm while tiptoeing to whisper into his ear.

John was a goliath of a man. He stood at 1.9 meters so even on her tiptoes, Nina was nowhere near close enough to whisper.

The man’s eyes twinkled. He reached out and picked Nina up as she clung onto his body like a koala.

The sudden action took Nina by surprise. The guards were sent into a moment of panic, thinking the two of them were trying to escape. When they saw their embrace, they swiftly averted their gazes.

The guards weren’t used to this type of affection. It was kind of embarrassing for them.

Some of them even blushed.

Nina was speechless.

She hadn’t even blushed, why were they blushing?

John whispered in her ear, “It’ll be easier for us to leave this place after we get out the underground lab.”

“You are right.” With her arms around his neck and her face close to his ear, Nina and John looked like such an intimate pairing.

“Ahem…” One of the bodyguards was too shy to look at them. He cleared his throat and hinted that they should behave. “Can you two show some respect? You’re being kidnapped, not on a honeymoon.”

The others nodded. One of them even glared at John and Nina in disgust. Nina still had no idea what to say. Neither did John.

John and Nina exchanged a couple of meaningful glances. Not a single person would mistake this for a honeymoon by any means.

When they walked out of the underground lab, they saw the abandoned factory. Except for an odd lights here and there, it was covered in darkness.

The abandoned factory had three floors. Isabella took the two of them all the way to the top. As they went up, the smell of rust became more pungent and the cobwebs were more abundant.

In John’s arms, Nina was too high for her own liking. Her head was brushing through all the webs.

“John. Is there poison in a spider web?” In the vacant factory, all that could be heard was the echoing of the different footsteps. Nina’s sudden voice broke into the room drowning out the other noises.

John realized the problem. He felt so bad and put her back down.

Someone lit a fire in the middle of the factory, lighting up the room. The floor was covered in random odds and ends, blowing around when the wind came rushing in. The gust smashed against the windows and battled with the fire.

It was a truly unsettled night.

Isabella left two people to keep watch at the exit, and the rest stood at all places with their hands behind their backs, on guard.

Taking a glance at the bodyguards, Nina said beside John, “There are twenty bodyguards. They are all tall and strong. Judging from their footsteps, they seem like fighters as well. They are probably Albert’s hitmen. We may not be able to overthrow them.”

John held Nina’s hand tightly and said in a deep voice, “Don’t be afraid.

I will never let them hurt you.

Find a way to contact Richard. We’ll have enough backup for sure.”

Nina was moved and relieved.

Each of John’s bodyguards was stronger and much more powerful than Albert’s. Since John’s men were around, she didn’t need to be afraid.

While Nina was fiddling with her watch, Isabella took notice and marched over.

Isabella’s high heels thumped on the floor and stopped in front of Nina. She stared at the watch for a long time, but she couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary.

Finally, Isabella asked Nina to take the watch off. “Nina, I heard that you are a hacker. As long as you have electronic equipment, you can do a lot of sneaky things. Take the watch off.”

Nina reluctantly took it off but secretly pressed the emergency button when handing it to Isabella. The message would be sent to Henry automatically and the monitoring mode would be turned on simultaneously.

The tracker was incredibly accurate so Henry would find them in no time.

“You must have heard it from the spy by John’s side, right?” Nina asked with a smile.

Isabella was stunned for a moment. Then, Nina continued, “Very few people know that I’m a hacker and the only ones who would know, work for John. Let me think…”

Nina pretended to be racking her brains. Seeing a flash of panic in Isabella’s eyes, she raised her voice and said, “I already know who it is.”

“Who?” Isabella was a little nervous. If Nina found out who the spy was, it would be all her fault and Albert would never let her go.

“We both know.” Nina smiled. Isabella’s anxiety was rising exponentially.

She hoped that Nina was just trying to scare her. Isabella glared at her and said, “You don’t know. Don’t act like you’re some kind of detective.”

Then Isabella casually put the watch on a table, not knowing that it was going to be her downfall.

As soon as Henry and Richard received the message, they came this way.
