- Season 3 Episode 26 - (Kristina committed suicide)
John, Nina, and Albert were left standing there with their mouths hanging open. However, Isabella was not surprised at all. She snorted derisively and said, “I told you Kristina committed suicide. Mr. Song didn’t do anything.”
The others were surprised by Noah’s words, so no one paid attention to Isabella.
Only John cast a glance at Isabella, but he did not say anything.
“You’re mistaken, Noah,” Nina hissed. She grabbed Noah’s arm and told him all her findings and speculations.
“Kristina’s time of death was off. She died before nine o’clock that night. Albert turned on the air conditioner to confuse us with the time of death. He burned the carpet and even took Kristina’s phone to text me so that I could become his alibi. He also wrote the suicide notes. Also, he and Kristina had a residence at…”
“No. 2 Lanting Road.” For the first time, Noah interrupted Nina and looked at her calmly.
Noah’s clear eyes made Nina stop talking. She slowly withdrew her hand, grief and frustration twisting her features.
Noah knew it.
So he had evidence to prove that Kristina indeed had committed suicide. At this time, Albert said, “I hadn’t done what you said, Nina.”
There was affirmation in his pained gaze.
He had never faked the scene.
“I don’t believe you,” she answered through clenched teeth. She was so angry that it was taking all of her physical strength to keep herself from charging at Albert and tearing him apart.
She was not about to pretend that she could be as calm and composed about this as Noah. One of her dear friends had been killed. She had every right not to feel okay about it.
Nina hated Albert so much right now that she wanted to destroy him with her bare hands.
“Albert is innocent. The remote control of the air conditioner, Aunt Kristina’s cellphone, and the lighter were all covered in her fingerprints. The notes were also authentic. It was written by her before she died.” Noah looked calm, but his voice was an octave lower than usual. He sounded like he was trying to keep his voice from breaking.
He continued, “I went to No. 2 Lanting Road and found her diary. From that, I found out about the relationship she had with Albert. Later, I found the person who sold the pearl bracelet to Mr. Shi.
Mr. Shi was secretly cracking down on the Song Group and robbing them of multiple overseas businesses. She wanted to help Albert, so she went to negotiate with Mr. Shi as soon as she was discharged from the hospital. She went to the Time Group in hopes of convincing Mr. Shi to leave the Song Group alone.”
At this time, everyone’s eyes fell on John. He slowly came to Nina’s side, put his arm around her waist, and nodded. “Kristina wanted to trade her shares in Ye Group for a way to keep the Song Group afloat, but I refused.”
“What?” Albert said in shock as a new, even more painful crack formed in his heart. He sat on the sofa and ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. His lips were pressed in a thin line.
Kristina had planned to leave all her shares to Noah.
Albert always thought that he was not as important as Noah in her heart, but it turned out that he was wrong.
He misunderstood her.
“Kristina…” Bitter tears now streamed down his face.
Noah grabbed a piece of tissue and handed it to Albert. He believed that Kristina would not want to see Albert like this.
Otherwise, all of her efforts would be in vain.
Noah continued, “Mr. Shi turned down her request, which made her very anxious. On her way out of the Time Group, she bumped into someone who was carrying the bracelet for Mr. Shi. The bracelet fell out without the person noticing, and she picked it up.”
He then took a deep breath and said to Albert, “You two fought because of that bracelet, didn’t you?”
Albert kept his head lowered and nodded, “Yes.” He whimpered as a new wave of tears came running down his cheeks. “I swear I didn’t mean to hurt her. I was in a bad mood that day. She had admired Mr. Shi since we met. It had always made me jealous. When I saw that bracelet, I just lost it. I was so angry that I lashed out and… I killed her.”
To this moment, Albert still remembered what happened that night. Blood just kept flowing out of Kristina’s abdomen, trickling down the cold knife.

“I’m sorry, Kristina. I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.” Sobbing against his palms, Albert fell to his knees. Guilt weighed down on his shoulders like a giant boulder as Kristina’s face flashed in his mind’s eye.
No one could ever understand his pain and regret.
“You didn’t kill her. It was an accident.” Noah comforted Albert in an indifferent voice.
He could not tolerate anyone who hurt Kristina.
But Albert was the one Kristina loved. Noah had no choice but to tolerate him.
The three of them actually had a good relationship, and Kristina’s demise was just as heavy a blow to Noah as it was to Albert.
That was how Noah was. He was always considerate.
After a while, Noah could not stand it anymore. He took a deep breath and told Albert, “You might not have killed Kristina, but she died because of you, Albert.”
Tears started welling up in Nina’s eyes as well. She turned around and threw herself into John’s arms. She helplessly sobbed against his chest and held onto him desperately. She let the grief take over.
What did happen that night? It was already seven o’clock in the evening when Kristina arrived at No. 4 West Forest Street from Time Group.
As soon as she entered the house, Albert grabbed her and pinned her against the wall. His lips crashed into hers passionately and violently.
He did not let go of her until her face was all red and her lips were painfully swollen. Then, he scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the sofa. They alternated between kissing and cuddling for a very long time.
Then, the two of them started talking. Albert asked, “Did you go see Mr. Shi today? What did you two talk about for twenty minutes?”
Albert’s tone was very gentle, and he rubbed his fingers back and forth on Kristina’s lips, staring at them hungrily. Kristina knew that Albert was jealous of John.
If she told him that she was going to trade her shares with the Time Group so that the Song Group could stay in business, he might take it the wrong way.
Kristina knew Albert very well. He had always been a proud person. He had been competing with John ruthlessly since he entered the business circle as a young CEO. He even provoked John in secret.
And it was all because she once worshiped John.
Albert was very possessive and sometimes could be the most stubborn man in the world. Kristina knew it was because he had not been cared for by his parents. As a child, he did not know how it felt to be appreciated for who he was, and that was why he grew up into an insecure young man.
Kristina loved Albert very much and felt sorry for what happened to him as a child. She did not want him to have a hard time, so she went behind his back and confronted John herself.
“Oh, nothing. I just proposed a cooperation between the Ye Group and the Time Group.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the smile on Albert’s face disappeared. He had planted spies all over Time Group. He knew what went on there without him being there physically. How could he not know the real reason why Kristina went to see John?
“You just lied to me, Kristina. I know you begged him to leave the Song Group alone. Tell me, what condition did you offer him?” Before Kristina could draw another breath, Albert was already fishing the pearl bracelet out of her suit jacket pocket.
His face darkened. Albert knew about that bracelet. The person who sold it to John said that it was a gift for John’s beloved woman.
How could it be in Kristina’s pocket?
During the past two days, Albert had been very anxious because of the Song Group’s problem, and now, Kristina had lied to him. The agitation in his heart suddenly rose, and his mind swirled with a thousand disgusting possibilities.
He flashed the love of his life a menacing smile.
“Kristina, did something happen between you and him?” Albert pinched Kristina’s jaw, rendering her unable to speak. Kristina’s face turned pale as she realized what Albert meant.
Albert thought she and John had sex.
