- MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2
- Season 3 Episode 18 - (Albert killed kristina)
Isabella did not go back for the earrings after she lost them. Instead, she bought a new pair that looked similar to the one she accidentally dropped.
She did not expect that Nina would be able to notice the difference.
And if Nina noticed, then maybe Albert did, too. Isabella started panicking.
She had waited for a long time for Kristina to leave the picture. After all, she was the only woman around Albert and the one blocking her way into his life.
How could she lose those earrings? Now Albert would never take notice of her again.
Nina smiled as dread descended on Isabella’s face. In truth, Albert only commented casually on Isabella’s earrings one night when the three of them had dinner together.
Since then, Isabella had worn the earrings every day, thinking that they were her ticket to getting Albert’s attention.
In the past, Nina had not known that Isabella desperately liked Albert, and she only thought that Isabella had a special preference for that pair of earrings.
Now she knew the real reason. Isabella glared at her and asked, “How do you even know this is a new pair?
They’re of the same brand and style.”
“They may be of the same brand and style, but the number of tassels is different. The old one had more tassels.”
Nina looked at Isabella, feeling a little sorry for her. When a woman put all her attention on pleasing a man, she lived a life of humility, one where she paid no attention to herself.
Some people said that humility could bloom in the dust, and they were right.
Then again, nobody wanted to stay in the dust long enough to sprout into a flower that moved anyone who saw it. Humility was messy, and there were other cleaner ways to transform into something beautiful.
“It isn’t really that difficult to notice that you’re wearing a different pair. I bet Albert noticed it, too, and I bet he just didn’t say anything.” Nina deliberately spoke to piss Isabella off and make her more anxious than she already was.
She never really thought that she was a kind person. In fact, she could be a hundred times more ruthless to anyone who was ruthless to her. What got thrown at her, she threw right back.
Isabella could fall to her knees and weep in front of her right now and Nina would not give a damn.
Sure enough, Isabella’s face twisted in agony. As her face turned bone white, she reached for her earrings, took them off, and tossed them into the trash bin. Nina raised her eyebrows.
She had won the first battle.
She then teased, “Why did you take them off? Does that mean you don’t like Albert anymore?”
“Shut up!” Nina had hit Isabella’s last nerve. She began pacing and screaming.
“No one in this world loves Albert more than I do! For him, I…” She suddenly stopped, shuffled, and looked away. She almost spilled the beans.
Nina decided not to explore why Isabella did not finish her sentence. She thought about Kristina.
She looked Isabella straight in the eye and approached her slowly.
“Did Albert kill Kristina?”
Isabella was stunned. Her face turned even paler. She shook her head violently and denied.
“No. He didn’t kill her by mistake.”
Isabella voice started breaking, and her lips began quivering.
Nina’s eyes darkened. “I didn’t say he killed her by mistake. How did you know that? So, it was indeed Albert who killed Kristina, right?”
Isabella seemed to have realized her fatal mistake. She immediately shut her mouth and turned around, avoiding Nina’s probing gaze.
Her whole body tensed, and her face turned as white as a piece of paper.
Under high tension, the human brain had reduced oxygen intake, making it easier for a person to tell the truth.
Taking the opportunity to get close to Isabella, Nina started pacing around her and whispered all her guesses in her ear.

Instead of calling for help, he panicked and thought about covering his tracks.
He turned on the air conditioner to mislead the coroner about her time of death. Then, he took her phone and edited two messages. The messages would be sent at two fixed times. Then he restored the phone to factory settings
The first message was to invite me over for dinner at a Western restaurant. Then, he showed up at the restaurant and put on a show of being invited there by Kristina as well. The second message was to tell me that she couldn’t make it. He used me as his alibi and timed the messages perfectly to confuse the police about her time of death.
He also set the carpet on fire to get rid of incriminating evidence. As for the suicide notes, I suspect that they’re all fake. Albert must have written the.
Albert and Kristina have been together for a long time. It’s safe to say that he knows her very well. I wouldn’t put it past him to forge her handwriting and write fake suicide notes to paint himself innocent.”
Every word that came out of Nina’s mouth felt like Kristina’s ghost blowing on Isabella’s ear. They were cold and piercing as if Kristina herself had returned from the grave to seek justice for her demise.
Isabella stood still, fear brimming in her eyes. With trembling lips she answered, “You’re wrong.”
“Albert killed Kristina.” Nina continued to taunt Isabella. It was only a matter of time before she cracked under pressure.
A few more pokes in the right places would definitely make her reveal some useful information.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about, Nina.” Isabella suddenly turned around, stepped back, and pointed at Nina. “Shut up! Kristina committed suicide! Albert has nothing to do with her death!”
“Oh?” Nina smirked. She slowly approached Isabella once again, forcing her to take a few steps back.
“How do you know Kristina killed herself? How did you even know she was dead?
Only Noah and the police have that information. Tell me, Isabella.
How did you know?”
Nina’s questions shoved Isabella into a corner. She had nowhere to run to now.
Facing Nina’s aggressive posture, Isabella felt her knees tremble and buckle. With Nina’s accusatory glare weighing down on her, she felt herself falling down.
Nina had always been strong. She grabbed Isabella’s arm with one hand, dragged her, and pinned her against the wall. She looked at her with murderous eyes.
“Albert told you all about it, didn’t he? Or were you there when he killed her?”
“No, no,” Isabella breathed. A bitter lump formed in her throat as she continued to claim her innocence. She still avoided eye contact with Nina and said, “I wasn’t at the scene. I know nothing.”
Nina was on the edge of rage. Her eyes were now red and horribly bloodthirsty.
Whoever killed Kristina deserved to die a thousand painful deaths.
Nina wished she could break Isabella’s arm right now and get even with Albert.
With her emotions starting to take over, Nina tightened her grip on Isabella’s arm. Isabella cried out in pain.
“Ah! It hurts… Let go of me, Nina!”
Ignoring her screams, Nina hissed through clenched teeth, “If you were not at the scene, then Albert must’ve told you about it.”
Nina grabbed both of Isabella’s arms now and gripped them so tightly that her nails had started digging into Isabella’s flesh. Nina roared, “It was Albert who killed Kristina! Tell me the truth, Isabella! Albert killed Kristina!”
The two of them were deeply in love. Then, in the blink of an eye, Albert stole Kristina’s life away. He even disguised the scene as a suicide to throw the police off his tracks.
It broke Nina’s heart. It was not fair. She could not accept that Kristina died in the hands of the man she loved.
The one she loved was the one who killed her.
Nina spat at the horrible irony.
