After finishing the meat, Qiao Dongliang put down the lunch box. He then took the one yuan given by Ding Jiayi to buy four buns.

You actually don’t feel that you’re wrong to have done that. So, I’m the one who intervened too much, was too harsh to you and too indulging toward Nan Nan. Fine, let’s put you in other’s shoes now. I want to see what your reaction will be.”

“You’re really taking revenge on me because of Qiao Nan, that wretched girl?” Ding Jiayi’s face turned crimson. That face was as swollen as a pufferfish.

“Revenge?” Qiao Dongliang chuckled. “You seldom use such an accurate description. This kind of treatment can be considered retribution.”

Ding Jiayi’s face turned as white as a sheet. She was unable to speak for a long time.

If Qiao Dongliang’s actions were considered as a form of revenge for Qiao Nan on Ding Jiayi, then what could be said of the way Ding Jiayi had treated Qiao Nan for over ten years?
