“Y-you have ruined our lives!”

Qiao Zijin, who had never been slapped by Qiao Dongliang, covered the left side of her face that was slapped. She pursed her lips and cried silently.

“No, I haven’t ruined your lives. At least, you still have the rest of your life to find a man who will be able to improve your life.” Qiao Dongliang continued in a low and sullen voice. “We have been separated for more than half a year. In another year or so, we can get divorced. By that time, you can find a father that Zijin wants and a man that is up to your standards. Both of you are one worse than the other. Both of you are full of lies. I can’t tell which are the truths and which are lies. Since both of you are so capable, you can think of a way by yourself. In the future, don’t come to me for help.”

At the thought of how Qiao Zijin refused to admit her mistake despite the many times that he asked her, Qiao Dongliang was devastated. He felt as if he had fallen into the icy river in December. He felt cold to the bone.

“Zijin, Zijin, wait for me!” Ding Jiayi intended to lose her temper at Qiao Zijin to make Qiao Dongliang feel sorry for his daughter and promise to solve the problem for her. She was at a loss when Qiao Zijin ran off by herself, and could only chase after her right away.

It was already eight o’clock at night and the sky was dark. Ding Jiayi was worried about Zijin’s safety. She could not let her go off by herself in the middle of the night.

She could not care about Qiao Dongliang and ran off after Qiao Zijin.
