Seeing the phone in Zhai Sheng’s hands, Miao Jing had thought that her son was working and she was disturbing him.

Before Zhai Sheng was able to answer, there was a rustle on the other end of the phone. It seemed that things had been knocked onto the ground.

Zhai Sheng was not shocked by the sudden appearance of Miao Jing. In fact, it was Qiao Nan, who was on the other side of the phone, who was in shock. When she heard Miao Jing’s voice, she threw the phone away. By the time she came to her senses and wanted to pick up the phone, she accidentally bumped into the things on the table, and so it ended up in a mess.

Zhai Sheng did not listen to Qiao Nan. Instead of hanging up the phone, he held it in his hand and looked at Miao Jing as if he was doing serious work. “Is anything the matter, Mom?”

Zhai Sheng held the phone in one hand and said calmly, “Nan Nan could tell that you are not in a good mood and she could not find you at home. So, she asked me about your whereabouts, wanting to know about your situation and to cheer you up.”

“Really?” Miao Jing’s eyes lit up, looking comforted. “Give me the phone. I will talk to Nan Nan myself.”

If Qiao Nan wanted to ask about her, there was no need for Qiao Nan to talk to Zhai Sheng. Qiao Nan could ask her directly.

“Brother Zhai…” Qiao Nan put the phone aside once again when she heard that Brother Zhai tried to put Miao Jing on the phone. Brother Zhai was adding trouble to the already messy situation!

Not waiting for Qiao Nan to finish her sentence, Miao Jing’s voice could be heard from the other end of the phone. “Hello, Auntie Miao, how have you been?”
