“How can I reconcile myself to the fact that the case was closed before the true murderer was found?” Ji Nuan’s voice was indifferent yet straightforward. “Miss Su, I just casually said that I was coming to the police station and if you wanted to see me, you could come to the police station. Noticing the coldness in Ji Nuan’s eyes and the implication of her words, Su Zhilan looked at her incredulously and then smiled casually. “Miss Ji, I remembered it was you who asked them to tell me you were waiting for me at the police station.”

“Is it more important to visit Su Xueyi’s parents or to go to the police station to see me?” Ji Nuan asked indifferently without lifting her eyelids. Her crisp tone conveyed a definite coolness and disdain. “I’m afraid you hardly stayed at Su Xueyi’s home before you came straight to the police station, didn’t you?”

Su Zhilan frowned and stared at Ji Nuan. “Miss Ji, what are you trying to say?”

Ji Nuan chuckled and suddenly seized Su Zhilan’s hand and pressed it on her stomach. Then she whispered sneeringly in Su Zhilan ear as the latter shuddered at her gesture, “You’re wrong. I’m just avenging my baby.”
