Then I thought that, as you just said, I needed a girlfriend, so I married her, but now look at how we ended up?” Ji Hongwen said as he filled the glass with wine. “Some days ago when you were not around, Shen Heru came back to make a scene a few times, claiming that she had devoted herself to the Ji family for so many years but ended up being driven out without even a penny, so she threatened she would sue me if I didn’t give her several billion yuan.”

Ji Nuan’s face turned cold. “She secretly fed you those chronic poisons. If I send those drug test records to court, she’ll be in serious trouble. How dare she sue you? Sheng Yihan didn’t stop her from disturbing you?”

“I have no idea. Now Sheng Yihan has controlled over the Sheng family. Although he didn’t break up with his mother, he was never close to her. I don’t think he has much communication with his mother. Ji Nuan remained silent.

Ji Hongwen knew what she meant. He sighed again. “I heard that you had some contacts with the Xiao family recently. I think someone smart as you have sensed something even if I don’t tell you.”

There was something that seemed to be hidden under a thin piece of paper. She was calm on the surface, but her mind was in a whirl.

Her hair had grown a lot lately. It was more than ten centimeters under her shoulders. After the shower, she blew her hair and came out, looking at the phone on the end table and the note with the address she had brought back.

She blow-dried her hair, put down the hairdryer, and sat down on the sofa. She picked up the note and looked at it for a while. She really didn’t have much work lately and could go to this place.

She picked up her phone and was about to send a message to her office, telling them that she planned to take a few days off.

As soon as she clicked open WeChat, however, she saw the messages from Mo Jingshen. He sent her the last message that night when he asked her what kind of noodles she wanted, and she answered anything would do.

His WeChat avatar was still her photo and his user name remained blank. He didn’t share anything into his WeChat Moments.

It seemed that he only used WeChat to contact her and not for anyone else.
