Jiang Yuyan went back to the bed and her mind wandered through her memories with Lu Qiang, where they talked about having kids and their plans about the future, she, him and their kids, a happy family.

A wide smile painted on her lips remembering how happy Lu Qiang looked when they were talking about the kids and they becoming a parent. The thought of having Lu Qiang’s baby and being a mother of his kid made her feel overwhelmed.

“I think, this what we call love.” Jiang Yuyan said to herself while caressing her belly with a hand.

She decided she was ready to have a baby, but then a thought struck to her mind, how come she was pregnant when they were always so careful.

She remembered, a month and few days before she went to Lu Qiang’s office with the dinner for him as her mother-in-law instructed her to do so and when she did so, instead of having dinner they both ate each other and forgot the important thing- a protection.

Giving out a deep sigh, she murmured, “I think it’s for good. Let me plan something to give him this news.”

Just then Jiang Yuyan heard the sound of Lu Qiang’s footsteps in the corridor as he was coming back to the room, so she hid the envelope under her pillow and sat quietly and Lu Qiang entered the room.

“You seem fresh seeing your brother here,” Lu Qiang commented as he pulled out his night pajamas and moved to the bathroom and Jiang Yuyan nodded.

“I will get fresh.” Instructing, he went to the bathroom and Jiang Yuyan got out of the bed in a hurry.

“What should I plan?” Thinking for a while, her sight fell on Lu Qiang’s laptop, which was on the study table. She picked up the envelope which was under her pillow and kept it on the keyboard of Lu Qiang’s laptop and closed the lid of the laptop back.

‘When he will open the laptop to work on it, he will see it. I wonder how his reaction would be’.

Thinking about it, a wide smile painted on her lips, but the next moment she felt butterflies in her tummy because of the excitement she felt to see his reaction.

‘Calm down, being so excited is not good.’ Saying it to herself, she inhaled and exhaled out deeply a few times and went to the gallery, ‘I think I should get a fresh air’.

When Lu Qiang came out of the bathroom, he got a call. His expressions turned serious seeing the name flashing on the screen.

“Yes, San Zemin?”

“As you expected, they will make a move soon but when that is yet to be confirmed.” San Zemin replied.

“Did you get to know the plan?” Lu Qiang asked.

“Not exactly but it would be better we tighten up the security around you and until we get to know about their plan, it would be better for you to stay inside the home. My men are already around there.” San Zemin instructed.

“Hmm! Noticed it.”

Talking for a while, Lu Qiang hung up the call and Jiang Yuyan came back to the room thinking if he had seen the envelope but she got the disappointment in return.

“Whose call was it, so late in the night?” Jiang Yuyan asked.

“Don’t worry, you don’t have any love rivals,” Lu Qiang teased.

“My biggest love rival is your business so having few more, won’t matter,” she commented, looking not so happy and sat on the bed.

“Seems like Mrs Lu is in a bad mood,” he enquired, not knowing the reason behind her bad mood.

Jiang Yuyan didn’t react, so he continued, “That was San Zemin, my most trusted man and who is responsible for our whole family’s security and one of the best spies one can have.”

Jiang Yuyan thought for a while and said, “Oh! I heard this name from Lu Lijun. Even that kid knows about him but me.”

Seeing her sulking, he went to her, “I will tell you about him too as you might need him in the future for your own work.”

“Why would I need him?” she asked.

“In case you feel like I have an extra-marital affair, you can always ask him to spy on me,” Lu Qiang replied.

Giving out a deep sigh, she spoke, “You can do anything but this one thing?”

“Do you trust me this much?” Lu Qiang asked.

“No, I trust myself. You won’t get a woman better than me and the one who can touch your heart.” Saying she got up from the bed. “Excuse me, nature’s call”.

Lu Qiang laughed. “Okay. go.”

When Jiang Yuyan came out of the bathroom, she was expecting Lu Qiang to open his laptop for work and read the report, but when she came back; he was not in the room and found out he was standing in the gallery.

“Why is this workaholic man not working today? No work, but at least open your laptop to see what is inside. What am I supposed to do with him?”

Jiang Yuyan went to him in the gallery and asked, “What are you doing here? Aren’t you going to work tonight?”

Not answering her, he said, “You should rest in bed.”

“I am fine now and I too want to get fresh air.”

“Hmm! Come here.”

As she went to him, he pulled her in his arms to hug her that startled her.

“Is everything okay?” she asked.

“Can’t I just hug my wife with no reason?” he replied.

“Hmm! You can.”

As a minute passed by, he spoke, “Thank you so much,” still holding her in his embrace.

“For what?” she asked.

“Just,” he replied.

Lu Qiang didn’t let go of her for some more time as if he won’t get to hug her again and Jiang Yuyan didn’t disturb him thinking he must be exhausted because of the extreme pressure of the work.

They went inside and when Jiang Yuyan was thinking Lu Qiang will go back to his laptop after putting her to sleep, to her surprise he climbed in the bed too, to sleep beside her which disappointed her again.

She lost the hope that he will get to know about the good news that night and decided to leave it at the time.

Both slept quietly, not knowing what the next morning would bring to them and Jiang Yuyan being unaware of whether she could ever tell him about the good news which she was eager to tell him.
