Hearing elder Ming, the one said old man around spoke. “Though I still oppose you calling me an old man, I agree with your other thought. Our grandkids never came across each other because of the stupidity of an old brain like you, but now I too want this younger generation to be together with the way we were in the past.”

Others agreed while Lu Qiang and Ming Rusheng just smiled lightly looking at each other. In their hearts, they knew what these old men wished for was not possible but they had to act along to make elders happy. Other than these two, Jiang Yuyan was aware of the fact too.

Lu Feng came downstairs and he heard it too. He looked at them from a distance and he knew it was not possible for Lu Qiang and Ming Rusheng to be friends like the two old men in the past and he preferred to go back to his room.

For Lu Qiang, the second month after the wedding was busy too, as the company had so many projects coming in. Just like the previous project, Ming Industries was a competitor to Lu corporations in all coming projects.

“Boss, this is the huge piece of land they are going to sell and all the companies are trying to get the hold on it. Being the richest company, we can offer them the highest price and get it.”

“Hmm!” as usual, Lu Qiang just hummed and Xiao Ming’s excitement went down.

“Aren’t we going to get it?” Xiao Min questioned, seeing his boss not so interested.

“We are going there but to lose it,” Lu Qiang replied that surprised Xiao Min.

“Huh?”

Lu Qiang picked up one paper from his desk, which had something printed on it and asked Xiao Min to look into it. “This is what we will offer.”

“You have already prepared for it, boss?” A smile painted on Xiao Min’s lips but the next line from Lu Qiang wiped that smile from his lips.

“Preparing to lose is easier than preparing to win.”

Xiao Min went through the file and the numbers written inside shocked him. “With these numbers, we will win for sure.”

“Not necessary but now I think, trying to lose in a way we plan can be difficult,” said Lu Qiang and it puzzled Xiao Min even more.

“I didn’t get it, boss,”

“No need to think about it. Just prepare for the most important project coming that we can’t afford to lose.”

“Got it, boss.”

As Xiao Min turned to leave, Lu Qiang spoke, “I won’t be there for that land thing and you have to represent me. Come to Lu Mansion a night before and I will give you a file for the next day.”

Nodding Xiao Ming left. A night before Xiao Min went to Lu Mansion. It was late as Lu Qiang had more work to do and Xiao Min had to do his work as his assistant. Getting a file from his boss when Xiao Min left the Lu mansion, he came across Lu Feng who just came back home.

“Is your boss making you work like a donkey that you are here at this hour,” Lu Feng said as he saw the files in Xiao Min’s hands.

“N-No. How can that be? It was something important so we both were working,” Xiao Min replied.

“I know, you are his loyal wife who can’t hear or say a bad word about him. Trust me if you follow him like this, you will end up spending your whole life as a bachelor.” Saying, Lu Feng asked for the files in his hands and Xiao Min pass it to him.

Lu Feng opened the file. “Is this land that is on the east side of the city?”

“Hmm!”

“Seems like your boss lost his mind to offer such a price.”

“What do you mean?”

“You need not know as it’s none of my business. Let your boss handle the things on his own,” saying Lu Feng handed over that file back to Xiao Min and left to go inside the mansion, leaving Xiao Min puzzled.

Lu Qiang was looking at every movement of Xiao Min while standing in the gallery of his room. When Xiao Min was about to leave the mansion, Lu Qiang’s eyed caught something and smiling he went back inside his room.

In the next two days, there was a time when all the company representatives gathered. Xiao Min was sure that his company would win with such a huge number of prices to be offered but he was wondering why his boss wanted to lose it. For him, his boss was always the right, so he trusted him.

Ming Rusheng saw Xiao Min was alone, so he asked, “Where is president Lu? Afraid to lose or what?”

“Boss had more important things to than this small one.”

“As all the big companies gathered here to get this land, your boss still has the audacity to call it not so important thing.”

As Ming Rusheng was not just a business rival but the relative of his boss’s family, Xiao Min didn’t want to argue with him but he couldn’t handle the insult of his boss. “If the boss thinks it’s not important, then for me he is always right even when the entire world thinks otherwise.”

“What a loyal assistant, Lu Qiang has. I am so touched.” Ming Rusheng commented.

Xiao Min looked at the man standing beside Ming Rusheng, the assistant of his father. This time Ming Yusheng didn’t join his son and instead, he sent his assistant Xiu Ying with him.

Xiao Min smiled to look at assistant Xiu Ying and said, “I guess, young master Ming’s father must be glad to have one loyal assistant too.”

The other man just smiled and didn’t reply.

Ming Rusheng smirked. “Hmm! One smart assistant Lu Qiang had got. Will see who is right then. Your boss or others.”

The result of the meeting was the Ming industries got the land. Ming Rusheng smiled to look at Xiao Min while Xiao Min bowed a little saying congratulations.
