At Lu Qiang’s side..

When he went to the gallery to attend the call, he asked, “What happened Xiao Min?”

“Boss! There is something that is bothering me.”

“What?”

“It’s about the proposal made by Ming industries because of which we lost today.”

“What about it?” Lu Qiang asked casually.

“Boss, don’t you think though there was a little difference in ideas, the numbers they offered were similar to us and the only thing that led them to win was the numbers they offered and those numbers were lower than us by just one or two digits. It’s like they knew our proposal and just offered the price lower than us with the negligible difference.” Xiao Min spurted out in one breath. He sounded restless.

“Calm down, Xiao Min. You are looking too deep into the things. Don’t think too much and forget about the thing that is not in your hand now.”

“I know now we can’t do anything but boss you already knew it, am I right?” Xiao Min asked.

“I am no god to know the things beforehand, Xiao Min.”

Though Lu Qiang denied it, Xiao Min knew his boss better. “Boss, you were calm from the start and you were calm even after they announced the result as if you expected it to happen, that means you already knew something.”

With light steps, he went towards the couch and sat calmly not asking her a single word. He picked up another file and went through it, letting her look into the whole file. He knew there was no use of stopping her as it would make her curious further.

Also, he thought, she was his wife and for now, it would be better that she knew about everything and he didn’t have to hide anything from her.

Once Jiang Yuyan went through the file, she looked at Lu Qiang and sensing her gaze at him he spoke, going through the file in his hands. “Ask what you want.”

She was still in a bit of a shock after seeing what was inside the file and asked while looking at him to get all the answers. “This file. It’s… It’s hard to believe it.”

“But it’s the truth and if you don’t want to believe it, then it’s good. Forget that you saw it,” said Lu Qiang.

“What are you going to do about it?” she asked as she thought it was something very serious.

“Nothing!” he replied calmly.

“Huh?” This surprised her.

Lu Qiang finally put the file on the table and turned to look at her, with his body shifting in a ninety-degree and he was sitting facing her.

“Yuyan, it’s been happening since long and I just get the information just to keep the track and I should know what is happening behind my back but there is no intention of exposing or punishing anyone.”

“As a family member, how can he do this? He can just ask for the money. Stealing is not good.”

“The money in this house belongs to everyone and if someone takes it without informing, it’s not stealing. I don’t mind if he takes money as nothing is more important than family.”

She argued. “But such things will only rot the roots of a strong family. If everyone gets to know about it then…”

“No one will get to know about it. Even if you saw it now, just remember one thing that you never saw.”

Jiang Yuyan had no words to say. “I can’t believe he can do something like this. He is so good to us.”

“For me, it’s more than enough that he is good with us and we all are family. Getting these things out will distance him from the family, and I don’t want it. We don’t lack money so let him get as much he wants. He holds the right over everything though he is not sitting in my chair.”

Seeing him so concerned about the family, she couldn’t help but admire him more. There are people who fight for money and small things in the family but Lu Qiang was ready to let slide anything that could disturb the peace in the family.

“Why are you so good, Lu Qiang?” she asked.

“Am I?” he asked, with the one corner of his lips curved up.

“Hmm!” she nodded.

“If I am that good, then this good man wants a reward for being good.”

Keeping the file in her hands on the table, she looked at him. “Reward, huh?”

“Hmm! Don’t you think I deserve it?”

“You will get one then.”

Saying Jiang Yuyan moved towards him and pushed him towards the hand rest of the couch so he was half leaned back. As if crawling, she moved to hover over him, making him lie down with his head resting at hand rest. She crawled up to face him, her one hand resting at his chest to push him down while the other one resting on the couch to get support.

“Mr. Lu wants a reward, huh?”

Smiling lightly, looking at her bold expressions and seductive body actions, he nodded.

“I am thinking about how to reward you. How would you like me to reward, Mr. Lu?” saying she moved her hand along his chest.

“Whatever Mrs. Lu Feels the best.”
