Seeing her brother going upstairs, Jiang Yuyan said, “I’ll go and get fresh too.”

Lu Qiang nodded and Jiang Yuyan followed her brother in a hurry.

Climbing the stairs, Jiang Yuyan said in a low voice, “I am scared of what he will say if he finds out?”

“What can he say? He would be happy to think his wife is so thoughtful and active,” Jiang Yang replied in a low voice and continued. “I will keep this in my room for now as tonight he would be with you and I won’t advise you to try this in our home.”

“Of course I won’t as our parents are home and I can’t think about doing anything strange.”

“Yeah, take your time.”

Talking, both reached upstairs and went to their own rooms. Getting freshen up, both came back and Mo Ruolan asked them to be at the dining table as the dinner was ready.

While eating, Lu Qinag asked, “So, what did you do out with your brother?”

“Cough! W-we did some shopping for brother,” Jiang Yuyan replied, her face turning red and Jiang her brother enjoying it.

“Hmm! and what about you?” Lu Qiang asked.

“I have everything so there was no need,” Jiang Yuyan replied, and Jiang Yang interpreted them.

“Why are you being like a detective, Lu Qiang? Can’t we brother-sister do our things and keep it a secret?”

“You can if it’s about you. I just want to know what my wife did,” Lu Qiang replied.

“She helped me to buy some stuff like handcuffs, blindfolds and you know all interesting stuff,” Jiang Yang said and his words created a mess at the dining table, especially Jiang Yuyan.

“Cough-cough!” Jiang Yuyan choked up with food in her mouth and Lu Qiang patted her back immediately, looking at her in a surprise. Passing her a glass of water, he said, “I didn’t know you have knowledge and interest in these things.”

Her face red with coughing, Jiang Yuyan couldn’t say a single word and with her teary eyes, she gave her brother a killer gaze almost cursing him in her mind while Jiang Yang was smiling mischievously.

Hearing what their son said, Jiang Peizhi and Mo Ruolan looked at their kids in a surprise. Mo Ruolan was trying to hide her smile while Jiang Peizhi looked at his son with a serious gaze, not knowing what to say.

Jiang Yang saw his father looking at him and averted his side to avoid his father and started digging in food.

Seeing her husband so serious, Mo Ruolan looked at him and said in a low voice while leaning closer. “They are not kids now and the time has changed so stop sulking. They know what they are doing.”

As Jiang Yuyan was still coughing, Jiang Peizhi didn’t react and quietly listened to his wife.

After dinner, when Jiang Yuyan and Lu Qiang were in their room, Lu Qiang sat on the bed while leaning back to the headboard and Jiang Yuyan awkwardly went to sit beside him.

Lu Qiang noticed she was hesitant and said, “Why are you so silent since your brother mentioned those things?”

“I-I am not.”

“I didn’t know you are interested in it. Do you want me to get these things for you?” Lu Qiang asked to tease her.

“N-No need. We are fine like this.”

“Really? I was thinking to get those things, eventually.”

Jiang Yuyan didn’t know what to say thinking about how she could say, she already bought something. Trying to avoid the conversation, she said, “I am tired and sleepy too. Let’s sleep.”

Lu Qiang didn’t drag the topic and agreed to what she said because dragging it further meant getting closer to break his resolution to not do anything with her at least for few more days.

Since the day he saw Jiang Yuyan in pain while walking and even peeing, he couldn’t gather the courage to do anything again. He wanted to wait for some time more thinking she might not be healed completely. Only he knew how much he cursed himself for being the reason for her pain thinking what was the need of going for so long and making her suffer.

The next day, Jiang Yuyan’s parents left to go back to the USA. Jiang siblings and Lu Qiang too went to the airport to see them off.

“I know there is no need to say, but still I’ll say take care of her as she is yours now,” Jiang Peizhi said to Lu Qiang.

“I will.” Lu Qiang replied.

Mo Ruolan hugged her daughter and son and said, “I know you always have each other’s back so I don’t have to worry but still do nothing that can give this mother heartache.”

“When your son is the best heart surgeon, you don’t have to worry about anything related to it. This doctor knows how to care for other’s hearts,” Jiang Yang said.

“Always boasting about yourself, huh?”

“It’s the truth, mom.”

“Yeah! I know.” Looking at Lu Qiang, Mo Ruolan said, “I know when you are with my daughter, I don’t have to worry about anything but this time I’ll say take care of my son too.”

Jiang Yang exclaimed to hear it. “Mom, I am not a kid like Yuyan that you are acting like this.”

Ignoring her son, Mo Ruolan said to Lu Qiang, “Though he acts like he knows it all, most of the time he couldn’t realize what he wants so you have to take care of him.”

Lu Qiang nodded and Jiang Yang said annoyingly, “Mom, stop it.”

Looking at her son, she said teasingly, “Will you prefer me to call Lu Feng and ask him to look after you?”

Hearing it, Lu Qiang and Jiang Yuyan laughed while Jiang Peizhi was busy talking on the cell phone.

“Mom, why don’t you call NIxxxie and ask her to look after me, instead?” Jiang Yang said.

Before Mo Ruolan could say anything, the voice disturbed them.

“She is too young to look after a crazy person like you, Jiang Yang.”

Everyone looked in the direction of the voice. Lu Feng was standing there with his hands tucked in his pant’s pocket.
