“Seems like Xi family will get a hard time because of my grandson,” Elder Ming said and both Jiang Yang and Ming Yusheng were shocked.

“Grandpa sure has a better sight to know things. No wonder I am good at it too,” Jiang Yang said.

“Go have breakfast first,” Ming Yusheng said and Jiang Yang nodded.

When Jiang Yang went to the breakfast table, all the ladies were there. “Had fun, my son?” Mo Ruolan asked.

“Not as much as you expect from me, mom,” Saying Jiang Yang sat opposite to his sister and saw she didn’t look as bright as she used to be till the day before. He could sense something was wrong with her but he preferred to ignore it as they were not alone.

“I know my son is a good man,” Mo Ruolan said proudly.

When Jiang Yuyan went upstairs, Jiang Yang excused himself and followed his sister to her room. Getting in the room, he asked while sitting on the couch, “What’s the problem?”

Jiang Yuyan sat on the edge of her bed and said, “I can’t even say that there is no problem as I know you can see through me always.” She knew her brother will notice it even if she will try to hide it and didn’t stop him from following her.

“If you know it, then shoot,” Jiang Yang said.

“What if there is something but I don’t want to talk about it?” she asked looking at her brother expecting him to respect her wish.

“It’s fine as long as it’s nothing serious and won’t affect your life ahead,” Jiang Yang replied.

“It’s nothing serious. I just don’t want to talk about it,” she said.

“It’s okay but if you feel like sharing it, then you know what to do.”

“Hmm!” she nodded.

“Take care!” Patting her head, Jiang Yang left the room.

In the evening… Jiang Yuyan’s room…

Mo Ruolan was packing Jiang Yuyan’s bag. “Mother, no need to pack so much stuff. Only a few things which are necessary,” Jiang Yuyan said looking at her mother who was packing her bag ass if she was going somewhere far to another country.

Mo Ruolan stopped and said, “You are lucky that your man has everything everywhere for you so you don’t have to carry stuff. At our times, we spent one night only packing our bags before leaving a parent’s home.”

There was a knock on the door. Jiang Yuyan opened it and saw elder Ming standing there with one gift box in his hands.

“Can I disturb the bride?” Elder Ming asked.

“Grandpa, come inside.” Saying Jiang Yuyan led his way inside. Elder Ming sat on the couch and looked around. “You don’t need to pack things. Just tell me and I will set everything for you with brand new things.”

“N-No, grandpa. There is no need. I said the same thing to mom.” Jiang Yuyan denied.

Elder Lu smiled and said while pointing towards space on the couch, “Sit here.”

Nodding Jiang Yuyan sat on the couch and elder Lu said while giving her a box in his hands, “This is for you.”

Recognizing the box, Jiang Yuyan said, “This…”

Elder Lu nodded and said, “Open it.”

It was the gift box that elder Lu bought for his daughter in the past. As Jiang Yuyan had seen that box in the past, she recognized it immediately.

When she opened the box, her eyes looked bright with the happiness of seeing the gift inside. “It’s so pretty.”

“Pretty gift for my pretty granddaughter.”

“Thank you so much, grandpa. I am so happy that you think I deserve to get what you bought for my aunt.”

“You are just like your aunt. I am sure she must have smiled like you if she had got this gift from me.”

“Right, grandpa.”

Mo Ruolan was curious to see what was inside the gift box but she continued sitting on the edge of the bed, letting the grandpa and granddaughter enjoy their moment. The way her uncle looked happy, she felt happy too.

Inside the box, there was a pretty and well-carved comb style hairpin. It looked more like a finely carved brooch. It had while colored real diamonds arranged in pretty flowers and leaves. It looked like it was meant for a bride.

“Tomorrow, I will wear it as your blessing,” Jiang Yuyan said and elder Ming smiled. Inside he was feeling emotional but didn’t want to show it. He left the room and Mo Ruolan went to her daughter to see the gift.

“It’s really pretty,” Mo Ruolan said and Jiang Yuyan nodded. “Grandpa still miss aunt a lot. He loved her so much.”

“Hmm! Ming Fangsu was his everything. She left, but it was like my uncle lost his soul. It’s good to see him coming out of it and he thinks of you as Ming Fangsu.” Mo Ruolan said.

In Lu Mansion… Lu Lijun’s room…

“How is it, brother?” Lu Lijun asked, looking at Lu Qiang while showing him the dress he would wear the next day, a black suit.

“It’s perfect. An Tian did a good job as usual,” Lu Qiang, who was sitting on the couch, replied.

Lu Lijun then looked at his other two elder brothers, Lu Feng and Lu Han. Both assured him by showing thumbs up.

Lu Han asked, “Lu Lijun was never concerned about these things, but I wonder why is he paying attention to it, this time?”

“It’s my elder brother’s wedding so I should look good,” Lu Lijun replied.

“But why am I feeling like our Lu Lijun is like a grown-up man now? Are you looking for someone?” Lu Han asked teasingly and the other two smiled.
