The atmosphere around was being normal and both friends were smiling talking like the way they used to in the past, forgetting all bitterness, talking and laughing loudly that the people around could hear them.

Other family members were coming back from the strolling when they saw these two old friends laughing.

“Seems like the wind has changed its direction,” Lu Jinhai said and Lu Chen nodded.

All were happy to see two old friends were finally together. After that day, elder Lu and elder Ming both resumed their friendship just like in the old days.

Two days before the wedding…At noon…

Lu Qiang was in his office when he got the call. It was from Jiang Yang.

“Where are you, Lu Qiang?”

“Where can I be at this hour?” Lu Qiang replied.

“Don’t tell me you are in the office. It’s your wedding in two days and you are working.”

“Wedding is not today, Jiang Yang. Why did you call?” Lu Qiang asked while going through the documents.

“There is a surprise for you tonight so I want you to finish your work fast and be ready in the evening.”

“What surprise?”

“Don’t ask such silly questions, Lu Qiang. It’s a surprise. Just be ready in the evening and I will come to pick you up.” Saying Jiang Yang cut the call without letting Lu Qiang ask any further questions.

Putting his cellphone on one side, Lu Qiang resumed his work not thinking about what the surprise could be.

In Jiang Yang’s office…

“What did he say, Jiang Yang?” asked Lu Feng who was sitting in front of Jiang Yang in the chair on the other side of his work table..

“I didn’t give him a chance to say anything,” Jiang Yang replied.

Smiling Lu Feng said, “I can see that but I don’t think he will like it.”

“You both Lu brothers, can you guys chill a bit. It’s not like we are doing something illegal.”

“If he asks, don’t drag me into this. It was the idea of yours and An Tian’s rotten brain,” Lu Feng said.

“Don’t forget the mastermind behind this idea is grandpa Lu so choose your words wisely.”

“My grandpa is a king of people like you and An Tian.” Lu Feng said.

“An Tian! Thanks, buddy you reminded me to call him,” Saying, Jiang Yang dialed An Tian’s number. “Is everything ready?”

“When I am in charge of the things, then one should not worry about it,” An Tian replied.

“Yeah, My bad. It’s just that my darling was worried,” Jiang Yang said and Lu Feng gave him a look.

After discussing for a while they hung up the call.

In Lu Mansion…At noon… Elder Lu’s bedroom…

Elder Lu was going through his wardrobe looking cheerful. Grandma Zhao Shuang was observing him carefully while sitting in her chair and asked, “Are you happy because of your old friend or there is something else?”

Not looking at her and still being busy with his things, elder Lu replied, “What do you think?”

“I am smelling something fishy.”

“My wife knows me well but there is nothing fishy. Don’t worry.”

“I am not worried about you. I am worried about the person for whom you are planning whatever it is and I am sure he won’t like it.”

“Don’t worry. He is my grandson and I know him well.”

Grandma Zhao Shuang didn’t say anything and leaned back in the chair with her eyes closed while elder Lu was doing his work.

In the evening, all the men in Lu Mansion were ready to go out in their stylish suits. When they came downstairs, the ladies who were talking to each other regarding wedding preparations, looked at the men in a surprise. Elder Lu, his two sons, Lu Jinhai and Lu Chen, Lu Feng and his elder brother Lu Han, Men from Wang family and few more guests were ready to go out.

Grandma Zhao Shuang ignored them while other ladies asked where were they going. No one was willing to answer but Elder Lu replied, “We men are going to relax as we are tired with wedding preparations.”

As it was elder Lu who answered, no one dared to counter questions but Grandma Zhao Shuang said, “Tired, huh? Sitting on the sofa lazily the whole day and looking around what is happening can be very tiring. I never realized it.”

“Cough-cough!” These words from grandma Zhao Shuang left elder Lu speechless and others were trying to suppress the laughing.

“What you all are laughing about? This old man has worked a lot before so now it’s my time to relax.”

Giving out a deep sigh, Grandma Zhao Shuang said, “Hmm! What can I say now?”

“What can you say? We have three kids, it is a result of my hard work,” elder Lu said and it was now time for grandma Zhao Shuang to feel speechless and others were enjoying the show.

“I won’t say anything as you will be more shameless in front of the kids. You can go.” Grandma Zhao Shuang said and elder Lu smiled mischievously as his goal of stopping these women from asking more questions was achieved. All left while smiling as their plan was successful.

Once all the men were gone outside of the mansion, Ning Jiahui said, “Why do these men think that we don’t have brains? They can’t even hide the things properly and thinks too highly of themselves.”

“If they were that smart, they wouldn’t have gone out together and being ready like they are going to party,” Wang Zhilan said.

“They are cunning. They wanted to leave in front of us and letting us wonder where they all were going as if we are not aware of the things happening nowadays.” Su Hui said.

“That’s right. They wanted to show us that they are going to enjoy but who cares,” Qin Xiu, a daughter-in-law of Sui said.

“Right! Let’s do our things now,” Wang Zhilan said and others agreed.
