“Then what did you do to get rid of them?” Lu Lijun asked curiously .

“Nothing special . We just have to be strong to face it as what happened back then is in the past and it’s our present that we should not let it affect . Also, I had my brother and now your elder brother who helped me to get out of it,” she replied .

“What happened to you?” Lu Lijun asked .

Jiang Yuyan startled a bit but replied not getting into the details, “I was bullied by a few people when I was off around your age . ”

“Are you fine now?” He asked .

“What do you think? She asked and he stared at her . Smiling she replied, “Of course I am fine and how can I not as I have so many people around to love me and take care of me . ”

“Hmm!” Lu Lijun nodded and Jiang Yuyan spoke again, “We are fortunate to have such caring brothers in our lives so don’t you think we should try our best to not let them worry about us much and be strong . ”

“I will try to not feel scared in a dark,” Lu Lijun said .

“I didn’t mean it that way . I just want to say that don’t hide things inside and don’t try to show that you are very strong . It’s okay to feel scared and weak . Everyone is scared of something whether it is something big or small . ”

“What are you scared of? Lu Lijun asked staring at her curiously .

For the first time he was meeting someone who was like him and gone through the suffering of having bad nightmares and he was curious to know about it . Moreover, he was trying to relate his condition with hers .

“I was scared of being with strangers,” Jiang Yuyan replied .

“Was? Is that mean you are not scared now?” He asked .

“Not exactly . I am still scared of it but I am able to overcome that fear to some extent . It took me a lot of time though, almost eight years,” she replied .

“I will try to overcome it too,” Lu Lijun said .

“It won’t happen that soon so don’t force yourself but I am sure one day you will be out of it,” Jiang Yuyan said and Lu Lijun nodded again . “Thank you, Yuyan . ”

“For what?” she asked .

“Just!” he replied and stayed silent looking at the pond .

Jiang Yuyan understood what he meant and didn’t ask anything further . Sometimes, somethings are better understood without saying a single word .

When the whole family was together, elder Lu didn’t forget to bring out a wedding topic of Lu Qiang and Jiang Yuyan . As Jiang Yuyan’s parents were there, they preferred to talk about it .

“Jiang Peizhi, prepare your heart to send such a lovely daughter to our home,” Elder Lu said .

“I will father but I am glad that she is going to be a part of such a wonderful family and I don’t have to be worried about her,” Jiang Pezhi said .

Elders started to discuss the wedding plans while few people were busy with their talk, sitting a bit away from elders .

Jiang Yang was being naughty again and said in a very low voice that only Lu Feng could hear, “Along with them, I was thinking to ring our wedding bells too . ”

“Why are you sulking? I am talking about me and NIxxxie and you with whatever girl is available . ” Jiang Yang said .

“What do you mean by whatever girl?” Lu Feng asked in a low voice .

“As you are not going to find anyone so the only option left for you is ‘whatever girl is available’ . Aren’t you tired of being a virgin for so long? Until when you are going to trouble your鈥?. . ” saying it, Jiang Yang looked at Lu Feng’s hands and spoke again, “Your hand must be hurting as you鈥?. ”

Gritting his teeth, Lu Feng said in a low but angry voice, “Stop it or I will kill you for real . Everyone is here that’s why you are still alive . ”

Others almost forgot about grandpa’s wish but as he reminded everyone, all were happy and turned their sights to Jiang Yuyan and Lu Qiang . Lu Qiang was sitting as if he was not affected by it and said, “Yes, grandpa” and this made Jiang Yuyan even embarrassed .

Mo Ruolan was looking at her daughter too . She was happy as well as emotional to hear it . she never expected, one day they would be talking about it .

“That’s like my grandson,” Elder Lu exclaimed .

“You insensitive men . Don’t embarrass her this much,” suddenly, grandma Zhao Shuang said, seeing flustered Jiang Yuyan .

“She will get used to it as she is going to be a part of the family of this blatant grandpa,” Elder Lu replied .

Giving out a deep sigh, grandma Zhao Shuang kept silent as she knew when it came to the topic of great-grandchildren, her husband was always so impatient .
