They had a nice family dinner while talking and teasing each other.

“We thought Martha would have to reheat the food, Lu Lijun,” Noah teased.

“It won’t affect you if you eat cold food for a day,” Lu Lijun countered as he pulled out the chair for Jiang Yuyan and.

Martha served them all food as they helped themselves by serving a few dishes.

“By the way, I went to your room but I didn’t see you two,” Lu Lian said with a teasing smile as others smiled too, waiting for Lu Lijun to defend himself.

Jiang Yuyan lowered her head to eat quietly as if she didn’t hear what Lu Lian said.

“You came at the wrong time when we were in between the important conversation,” he replied with a straight face.

“And what was the important conversation about?” she asked as Lu Lijun looked back at her. She cleared her throat and explained, “Well, I just wish to know what exactly I was disturbing..I mean the talk you two were having.”

Before he could answer, Jiang Yuyan put her hand on his thigh to stop him from telling the truth which others could not see due to the table in front of them. She knew this guy never lied and he would end up saying something to embarrass her.

“That I can’t tell you,” Lu Lijun replied to Lu Lian and Jiang Yuyan finally felt relieved.

“Why?” Lu Lian asked while others silently waited for him to talk.

“Because Yuyan doesn’t want me to say anything and I can’t go against her,” he replied.

Everyone laughed hearing it while Jiang Yuyan sighed and pressed her temples, ‘This guy is worse than kids who don’t know what to say and not.’

“Were you helping her put on the make-up?” An Tian asked.

Everyone saw the previous mark on Jiang Yuyan’s neck was gone.

“Sure he was. He was good at it and helped us during school days,” Noah said and asked Jake, “Didn’t he?”

Jake nodded, “Jessica always praised him and asked for his help whenever she needed it.” He saw Jiang Yuyan’s expressions change at the mention of Jessica.

“I am sure instead of his make-up skills, she liked the one who applied it,” Noah added.

“Well, can’t deny it as our friend is so handsome,” Jake agreed, “She always used to talk about him whenever she came to our home,” he looked at An Tian, “Isn’t it brother?”

An Tian agreed, “Young girl’s fragile heart could not help but beat for him.”

“She seems to be a good girl. That day we met her,” Jiang Yang said and looked at his friend, “What do you say, Lu Feng?”

“Indeed she is,” Lu Feng added.

“She wants to date Lijun,” Noah informed An Tian.

“Well, my cousin has good eyes for a guy,” An Tian said and looked at Lu Lijun who looked like all this talk didn’t matter to him. “Lu Lijun, what do you think about her?”

“She is good,” Lu Lijun replied.

Jiang Yuyan frowned inside but continued eating.

An Tian and Jiang Yang looked at each other as they could clearly see Jiang Yuyan was being jealous.

An Tian leaned closer to him and said, “Some more provoking and she will end up confessing.”

“Well, my sister doesn’t like it when someone keeps an eye on what belongs to her. She is extra possessive. You better protect your cousin,” Jiang Yang whispered back.

When all were busy, Lu Lijun put his hand on Jiang Yuyan’s hand that was resting on her own thigh. He leaned closer and whispered to her, “You should not put your hand on a man’s thigh like that. Don’t you know?”

She gulped and said nothing. At that moment it was an emergency and she didn’t have any other way to stop him. She pulled out her hand from his hold, which made his hand be left on her thigh.

It shocked her as she didn’t intend to do it and felt his warm palm on her soft thigh. Lu Lijun retreated his hand quietly as he didn’t intend to do it. It was just a mistake as Jiang Yuyan pulled her hand. He didn’t wish her to think he was asking for more than she could allow.

Both turned silent and continued eating while others didn’t know what was going on between these two.

After the dinner, all spent some time together and then it was the drinking time for the men while Lu Lian and Jiang Yuyan returned to their rooms as they wished to rest instead of hearing the shameless talk from these men.

When just a little was left to strike the clock for twelve am in the night, Ming Rusheng stood up from the chair as he kept the glass of drink on the table.

“I will be back in a while,” he said and left.

“Lu Feng and Lu Lijun looked at each other but there were no such expressions on their faces.

An Tian spoke, “You two are so cunning. Learn something from Jiang Yang.”

Both Lu brothers didn’t reply and simply stood up from the chair and turned to leave.

“At least today, leave those two,” Jiang Yang said but the two didn’t budge.

Once the two Lu brothers left, Jiang Yang looked at Noah and Jake, “Is everything ready?”

“Hmm,” the two replied.

Ming Rusheng went to his room and opened his bag. There was a small paper bag that was kept. He pulled it out and checked the stuff inside it. With a light smile, he pulled out one tiny box from it and closed his bag after he put that box in his pocket.

Ming Rusheng came out of his room and walked upstairs to go to Lu Lian’s room. He didn’t knock on the door as he wished to surprise her and opened it directly only to see the unwanted.

He closed his eyes for a moment and sighed, ‘I wish I could bury these two somewhere far in those mountains.’
