Lu Lijun nodded and accepted that make-up stick from her, as he totally ignored Jiang Yuyan’s reaction.

“Look up,” he said and started applying the corrector stick on that dark patch and then patted it gently with his finger to spread it evenly on the targeted part of the skin.

She looked at his handsome face that was serious when he worked with focus as if it was not just makeup but an important project for him. She didn’t feel like moving her gaze away from him and even felt how gently and carefully he was doing it.

‘Why does this kid have to grow up into such a handsome guy. Couldn’t he be a bit less handsome? As he claims to love me always then what is the need to be so handsome? Does he plan to attract other girls?’ Again a jealous frown appeared on her face. “I wonder if so many girls around him had tried to…’

“Now what?” But just then Lu Lijun finished his task and looked at her as he normally asked as he disturbed her thoughts.

She looked at the two bottles of concealer and foundation and said, “I am sure Jessica didn’t just teach you half things.”

He stared at her for a moment to know why she was like this suddenly but she immediately changed her expression, “I am sure you know what to do as you are a smart guy to learn things once you know them.”

Lu Lijun looked at those two bottles and read what they were. He got one of them and opened it only to find a small stick attached to the inside of the lid that was covered with a liquid makeup product. He didn’t ask her again what to do.

He only held her hand, put a small dot of liquid makeup on the back of her palm and then started to apply it on her skin gently.

“You even helped girls with makeup,” she asked.

“Hmm,” was what he said and continued doing his work.

‘How can this so-called smart guy be so dense?’ she could only frown and didn’t ask anymore.

There was no talk after this as Lu Lijun picked another bottle and applied that liquid makeup on her skin just like the previous one.

While Jiang Yuyan’s mind was somewhere else when he was busy helping her. ‘Was he this close to those girls when he helped them. University students are not kids. Were those girls staring at him this closely? Could they smell his scent like this? He sure smells so good. Could they…..”

“Done,” Lu Lijun said as he looked at that skin patch satisfactorily as he had compact powder in his hands.

It pulled Jiang Yuyan out of her jealous thoughts. This man in front of her was so dense to even know what she was thinking.

Jiang Yuyan sighed at how he could not understand her thoughts, ‘But why do I want him to know what I am thinking? It will be so embarrassing if he finds out I am jealous over such things.

Lu Lijun put those bottles back in her cosmetics bag and looked at her intently.

“Hmm?” she asked to know what happened.

“You look pretty when you are jealous,” he said with a straight face and stood up as he got that bag from her and went to keep it in the wardrobe.

Jiang Yuyan looked at him in shock, ‘So all this while he was acting as if he didn’t notice it and instead continued saying things that will make me jealous. Such a devil. How can he even maintain a straight face all the time?”

He closed the wardrobe door and returned to her as he leaned to tower over her, his face closer to her and his eyes stared into hers, “I was never this close to any girl when I helped them. I don’t care if they stared at me or whatever but it didn’t matter to me. Because they didn’t exist for me. And it’s not my fault if they love my scent. But if you love it, you are always allowed to be closer to me.”

He answered whatever questions she had in her mind.

Staring back into his eyes with her shocked one she thought, ‘Oh, god. Did he hear it all? But It was all in my mind. I didn’t speak it aloud.’

“Your eyes speak louder than this pretty mouth of yours,” he said as his gaze moved between her eyes and mouth.

She gulped and he moved away, “We should leave. They must be waiting for us for dinner.”

Getting back to her senses, she simply nodded and stood up.

The two went downstairs but Jiang Yuyan noticed the dining room was empty.

“Martha arranged it in the garden,” he informed her.

When they entered the garden and others noticed them from a distance, Lu Lian spoke, “Those two were inside the home. But when I went to Yuyan’s room, no one was there.”

“Are you sure you went there at the right time and didn’t disturb anything important?” An Tian said with a teasing smile.

Lu Lian understood what he meant and smiled, “My bad.”

Others smiled as they all looked at those two who were walking towards them and looked perfect together.

“Jiang Yang, you don’t panic if you see another mark on your sister’s neck,” An Tian said again as the others laughed.

“My sister is not that dumb to make the same mistake again. I am sure she must have put her make-up to some use,” Jiang Yang countered being cool about it.

Just then Lu Lian realised something and subconsciously touched her neck that Jiang Yang noticed.

“Lian, I see you are as smart as my sister.”

Cough! Cough!

Lu Lian picked up the glass of water as he looked at her elder brother Lu Feng who was already looking at her and averted her gaze to look at Jiang Yang.

“But my brother is not as cool as you, brother Yang,” she said in a low voice.

Lu Feng heard her, “You should be happy that you are allowed to stay under one roof.”

Lu Lian quietly looked another way as she could not stand to her scary brother.

Ming Rusheng who heard it, leaned towards Lu Feng as he said in a low voice, “If it was not for why we are here, I would not have brought her here to see you two hypocrite brothers.”

“Whatever you say, it would be the same till you two get married,” Lu Feng replied in the same way.

“Soon.”
