She went through the sets of nightdresses and there were all kinds that could be available, from sexy ones to cozy and comfortable ones. She looked at tiny see-through nightdresses that would hide only the required part of one’s body and the rest looked as good as not wearing anything.
’I will die with embarrassment if I wear this in front of him.’

She looked for more. There were few decent silk long and short nightgowns that were not see-through and had thin shoulder belts.

’This looks a little better at least,’ she sighed a relief, ‘But so curvy. It will look like I am trying to seduce him.’

She then looked further and there was a typical nightdress with a buttoned top and a collar and full-length pants with delicate floral prints on it and soft silk material.

’This looks comfortable and I won’t feel embarrassed in front of him,’ she pulled out that nightdress and picked up the pair of lingeries.

She looked for the bathroom and found one door in that luxurious bedroom. Carrying clothes, she went to that luxurious bathroom with space bigger than her bedroom inside the Ming Mansion with all kinds of facilities available there- A big size round bathtub, glass partition walls for shower, shelves carrying various kinds of shower gels and perfumes.

She walked inside and put them on the shelf. Standing in front of the huge wall mirror above the sink, she removed her accessories from her hands and neck. She looked at her wedding dress. Though it was so pretty and one might not want to take it off, its weight was difficult to bear for long.

She moved her hand to the back of her dress and started pulling the chain but it was stuck. It was stuck at the start only that she could not remove her dress in any way possible without removing that chain. She turned and faced her back to the mirror to see where it was stuck and tried to pull it again but it was not of any use.

’Damn this chain. Why does it have to be stuck like this,” she got angry, “C’mon..move now or I will tear up this dress.” She tried everything for a long time. Her hands and neck started to feel hurt and she felt even exhausted. In the cold weather, she had started to sweat. Feeling exhausted, she finally gave up and felt like crying.

Helplessly she sat on the bathroom stool while burying her face in her palms. She was on the verge of crying as there was no one to help her even.

A long time passed by, but Ming Lan didn’t come out of the room. Wen Zac checked the time and looked at the bedroom door which was closed. He went towards it and knocked on the door but there was no response from inside.

He finally opened the door and entered the room, only to find it empty. He felt worried thinking if she had fainted or what due to exhaustion. He hurried towards the bathroom and knocked on the door.

”Are you there?” he asked.

Ming Lan didn’t know what to do now. “Y-Yes,” she replied.

”Any issue?” he asked.

There was no reply for a while so he asked again, thinking there must be something she needs but can’t tell him, “Do you want me to call the lady attendant?”

’Calling a staff?’ Ming Lan thought. If it was any other day, she would have called for the lady staff but it was their wedding night and if had to call for the staff for such a thing, it would give out the wrong impression. It might affect his image that he had to call for hotel staff to help his wife with such a thing where he could help her.

’It’s better to get help from my husband than calling a staff,’ she concluded and replied, “No…need to call the staff,” she replied.

Wen Zac didn’t know what to say though he was worried. “If you need anything, you can tell me.”

Ming Lan heard him and then thought about her situation that she was not going to spend the entire night sitting inside the bathroom.

She exhaled through her mouth and finally said, “I need help.”

He was right that she had some issues going on. “What do you need?”

”My dress…I mean the chain is stuck and I can’t remove my dress,” came the hesitant voice from inside the bathroom.

Wen Zac understood and said, “I am coming inside.”

At his words, she got alerted and stood up immediately as she saw the door of the bathroom open and Wen Zac entered.

Ming Lan stepped towards him who had stopped close to the door and in front of the mirror over washbasins.

He looked at her questingly and she turned around to face her back to him. He looked at her back to see the chain while Ming Lan looked at him through the mirror in front of her.

Not saying a word, he moved his hand to touch the zipper of the dress while Ming Lan’s body stiffened. He tried to pull it down but it was stuck.

”It’s stuck,” he said and held the top of the zipper tightly with one hand while with the other hand he tried to forcefully pull the zipper.

His warm fingers touched her cold back and she felt her breath was stuck inside her chest. Her eyes didn’t leave the man who was only focused on unzipping her dress and helping her.

’Why am I feeling so weird while he looks so calm?’ she thought and just then Wen Zac managed to unzip the dress till the end and the dress loosened up the next moment. Wen Zac could see her bareback through the laces of the corset she was wearing inside the dress. He looked at her through the mirror who was already looking at him but averted her gaze the moment their sights met and she clutched her dress in hands, feeling awkward to her bones.
