MY BROTHER IN-LAW TURN HUSBAND, VOLUME 7 - Season 14 Episode 43
Just then Jiang Yuyan came to Lu Lijun, “What was this?”
”I didn’t wish to work with that man,” Lu Lijun replied coldly.
”Well, Do what you feel is right,” she said as she was convinced by all the information and reasons Lu Lijun gave. She was impressed with the kind of research and information he had to get out from backhand which was really difficult to get. She was surprised to think how he got hold of it. If it was in China then it was a piece of cake but in England…She then looked at Jake and understood what must have happened.
Just then Xiao Min hung up the call he was talking on and informed, “Boss, flight tickets are booked.”
”Hmm,” she nodded.
Jake and Noah looked at Lu Lijun who was still calm after hearing what Xiao Min said but his friend could see inside he was not that calm.
”Flight tickets?” Noah asked.
”Boss is leaving tonight,” Xiao Min informed and Jiang Yuyan agreed to it as she said, “It’s good to see you three working really hard. I wish you three to keep working like this. I’ll take a leave,” she said and turned to leave as Xiao Min followed her.
”Boss, I have arranged for you a small tour of the city as you said.”
”Good,” she replied.
The other three heard Xiao Min where as Lu Lijun stood frozen in his place he saw Jiang Yuyan and Xiao Min leaving.
Noah looked at Lu Lijun, “Last time Mr Xiao Min said they are here till next week. Why are they leaving suddenly?”
Lu Lijun didn’t answer and turned to leave.
”Did something happen?” Jake asked Noah.
”Last night president Lu went to see Lijun in the office as he didn’t return home. Not sure if they had fought or what,” Noah replied.
”I thought things would be better but it doesn’t seem like it.”
”Hmm.”
——-
Jiang Yuyan went for the city tour as she wished to calm her mind. After talking to Lu Lijun the previous night and how unwilling he looked to have her around, she wanted to stay away from him. It was better to not bother him with her presence and stay away till her time of flight arrives.
”We are going to the museum first and then to the art gallery and later we can go to …..” Xiao Min continued reciting her schedule while Jiang Yuyan only paid attention to the roads outside and the people and didn’t bother with what Xiao Min was saying. She opened the window of her car and inhaled the pleasant cold air.
”Seems like it’s going to rain,” she said.
”Looks like it though it’s unusual to have rain during this season,” Xiao Min added.
After visiting the different places, finally, it was evening. It was time for them to return home and then leave for the airport.
It’s been raining for the entire day now. It spoiled our small tour,” Xiao Min said.
”It’s fine. The rain feels good,” she said while smiling lightly and putting her hand forward to catch the raindrops in her hands.
Her behaviour surprised Xiao Min, “But from what I remember, my boss used to hate rain,” Xiao Min said.
”Did I?” she asked and Xiao Min nodded.

”Oh, it must be because you never let me drive whenever it’s raining. You are the reason I must have hated rain.”
It startled him but he could only apologize, “Apologies, boss,” he could never win his boss if he had denied her claim. “Boss, would you like to have dinner outside or at home with others,” Xiao Min wished her to have dinner with Lu Lijun as she was leaving and he was not sure when these two will meet.
”Let’s not spoil someone else’s dinner. I am not hungry anyway. You go home and bring our stuff to the airport. I will go to the airport from directly from here,” she said.
”But boss….”
”You should hurry and eat something before coming to the airport. You can take a car. I’ll get the cab,” she said and was ready to grab a cab.
Xiao Min had no other option and only nodded. Just then he received a call and his eyes were left wide open. He looked at Jiang Yuyan who was about to board the cab, “Boss…”
Jiang Yuyan stopped and looked at him annoyingly, “Now what Xiao Min?”
”B-Boss… There is an accident,” Xiao Min answered.
The accident word was enough to scare her, “W-What accident?”
Due to the heavy rain, there was an accident on the bridge. So many vehicles have been involved in it and….” Seeing an anxious woman in front of him he could not dare say anything further.
”And what Xiao Min?” she exclaimed anxiously.
”And the Fourth Young Master’s car is one of them,” he answered.
Jiang Yuyan felt like the ground under her feet just skipped and she was falling somewhere deep down in the valley. Seeing her losing her balance, Xiao Min immediately held her, “Boss…”
”T-Take me there,” she said.
Xiao Min nodded and made her sit inside the car. Xiao Min instructed the driver, “Carl drive to the bridge.”
”Mr. Xiao Min, the bridge must be blocked due to the accidents…”
”Just take me there,” Jiang Yuyan exclaimed at the driver.
Xiao Min handed her over a napkin from the car to make herself dry. Though rain was mild on their side, she had water over her face and hair.
”I am fine,” she muttered under her breath as she could think about nothing but going to Lu Lijun and making sure he was safe.
Xiao Min observed her. Her hands were shaking and she looked like she would soon have trouble breathing. Her eyes seemed to look unfocused. The anxiety attack was going to hit her which didn’t happen for so long now.
Xiao Min pulled out the medicine bottle from his bag. Though she never had to take it in past few years, he always made sure to carry her all medicines with him.
He got two tablets and offered her, “Please take these, boss.”
”I…told…you…I am fine…” she said annoyingly while trying to keep her shivering hands stable and keeping her breathing normal.
”Drive fast,” she instructed the driver.
