”Shall we order some drinks?” Shen Li asked.
Xiao Min could only agree as he saw his senior staring at him with a little smirk as if he had caught Xiao Min in the trap.

”What will you have?” Shen Li asked.

”Whatever,” Xiao Min replied as he was not interested.

”In whatever, only I am available. I won’t mind if you have me. In fact, I am dying for you to have me,” She Li commented.

Xiao Min sighed and placed his order to the attendant.

Shen Li spoke while they enjoyed drinking, “So about the Han family, these days they are facing some issues with various projects and are searching for strong support which will hold their sinking ship.”

”Is it that bad?” Xiao Min asked.

”Not really, but if things continue to go in the same way and they won’t change their ways, it will happen sooner or later. These things are not known to many but only a few higher-ups who are trying their best to hide the loss.”

”What options do they have in hand then?”

”What could be the reserved precious treasure for any family that they could use in an emergency?” She Li asked.

Xiao Min thought about it and answered, “The kids to trade.”

”Exactly! Han family has an eligible son and a daughter,” Shen Li added.

”So who are they approaching?”

”Is it that difficult to guess now?” Shen Li countered.

Xiao Min scoffed, “Their daughter for Lu Lijun. They can just dream on.”

”They also suggested their son for Ms. Nicky,” Shen Li informed.

”Then?”

”Ms. Nicky should be the last person they should ever think about. It’s just impossible. Knowing her, I feel like she will not think about marrying anyone unless it’s that person but she knows it’s impossible.”

”That’s true and with Lu Lijun, they should not even think about even in their dreams.”

”That crafty family always has some tricks under their sleeves. You should better take care of Lu Lijun.”

”Before they try anything with him, President Lu will make them disappear from this city,” Xiao Min commented.

”Well then, you don’t have to worry about anything.”

”I want the information about them so it can help president Lu strangle them easily and legally.”

”Why? Have your boss stopped illegal means of work?”

Xiao Min nodded, “Long back, in the past! After she shut all the threats to Lu family and business.”

”Well, good to know.”

”But she can go back to the old self and I don’t want it to happen.”

”She is always protecting Lu Lijun so it won’t be surprising to see her being bad for his sake.”

”That’s what I am worried about,” Xiao Min said.

The conversation went so smoothly that Xiao Min forgot he didn’t wish to see the man in front of him. In fact, he was feeling better to share it with him.

Shen Li looked at him with a relieved gaze and said, “Are you feeling fine now after sharing it with someone?”

Xiao Min realized he was being so comfortable with Shen Li and said, “It’s not like that,” and avoided looking at him as he continued drinking.

Shen Li poured more wine into his glass and said, “I know you are always worried about your boss but you don’t need to keep all the worry inside you. You can always share it with your senior who will listen to it and then forget it.”

After staying quiet for a long, Xiao Min finally spoke, “Thank you, senior.”

Shen Li just nodded and said, “I will email you a few documents and information that you can give to your boss.”

Xiao Min nodded and the two continued to drink for a long time.

Once they stepped out of the pub, it was time for both of them to leave. Both didn’t know how to say bye as it was not what they meant. They met after so long and this time spent together seemed so less.

”I will take a leave then,” Xiao Min said first.

Shen Li nodded, “I have called a driver for you.”

”Thank you,” Xiao Min said as he left in his car while Shen Li continued to stare at the disappearing car as he mumbled, “Take it slow Shen Li. He will melt for sure. Be patient.”

The next day, Xiao Min opened his email box where he had received important emails from Shen Li. He prepared the documents to show his boss along with what information he himself had gathered about the Han family.

Jiang Yuyan went through the files that her loyal assistant handed her over.

”You are fast, Xiao Min,” she looked at him, “I wonder how you gathered this difficult to get inside information in just a night. Your eyes look puffy. Seems like you didn’t sleep at all,” she continued looking at him as she leaned back in the chair, “Or you were dead drunk?”

Xiao Min knew nothing could be hidden from his boss and said, “Assistant Shen Li helped with this.”

Jiang Yuyan put the file back on the table and asked, “Do you know how crucial information this file holds and it can put assistant Shen Li in a tight spot if his name comes out?”

”I won’t let anyone know that he is the one to leak it to us….”

”That I am sure about but you didn’t get what I am trying to say,” Jiang Yuyan interrupted him.

”I just know this was important to get for the sake of Lu corporation and….”

”And?” she asked.

”And for the fourth young master, if they create trouble for him.”

”They don’t qualify to create any trouble for us. Rest assured. But let me clarify the meaning of my previous words.”

Xiao Min stood quietly while Jiang Yuyan spoke, “Despite knowing he can be in trouble, he gave this information to you that means to him nothing is more important than you. And you, you didn’t hesitate to put him in trouble because you feel you have a right to do so… And you know you will be there by his side.

Xiao Min could say nothing as what she said was the truth.

”Stop this stubbornness and just go to him. He cares for you more than you do,” she said.

”Can I say something?” Xiao Min asked.

”Hmm,” she permitted.

”Why is the boss thinking of associating herself with a stranger when she knows someone she cares for her, loves her more than anything?” Xiao Min asked.

Jiang Yuyan knew what he meant and said, “In our case, we don’t share the same feelings. So don’t compare us with you and Shen Li. Understood.”

”Hmm.” Xiao Min nodded, “I understood it clearly the moment boss addressed him and herself as ‘we and us’.”

Jiang Yuyan didn’t get what he meant and stared at him.

”I will take a leave. I will arrange for the next meeting,” Xiao Min left and Jiang Yuyan could only stare at the closed door.
