The next morning in Lu Mansion during breakfast, the breakfast table looked empty as Lu Lijun, Jiang Yuyan, and Lu Lian were not there.

“Where are these three?” Elder Lu asked while passing his sight along the empty chairs belonging to those three.

Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan staying out of the Lu Mansion for days was a normal thing but Lu Lian never did it except for the days when she accompanied Ming Rusheng in the hospital.

“I did not see them after the naming ceremony,” Ning Jiahui informed as she herself looked puzzled.

“Don’t worry about Yuyan and Lijun. They always stay out. Just call Lian and ask where she is,” Lu Jinhai instructed.

Ning Jiahui nodded and looked at the butler, “Contact her.”

The butler was about to get the receiver of the telephone but heard Lu Feng, “We should let her be. She knows what she is doing.”

Everyone looked at Lu Feng and then Lu Han spoke to side with Lu Feng, “She is grown up. We should leave her alone.”

“What do you mean?” Lu Jinhai asked, “Do you two know where she is?”

“She won’t stay out without a reason,” This time Elder Lu spoke, sensing there was something. “Tell us what is going on?”

“Grandpa, you can ask her when she will return. For now, just let her be. She has gone through a lot for the past few months,” Lu Feng replied.

“As long as she is fine,” Elder Lu agreed.

Lu Bao first looked at her brother who gave her an approving nod and she said, “Brother Rusheng seems to remember everything.”

“Since when? Did he lie and forget about Lian?” Lu Jinahi asked angrily.

“Not sure but it seems like Lian was not aware of it,” Lu Bao replied hesitantly.

“Was he playing with my daughter with his lies?” Lu Jinhai frowned.

“Don’t think of it this way when we don’t know what’s going on between them. I am sure my granddaughter knows what she is doing. No need to be so hyper just because she didn’t return home,” Elder Lu countered.

Lu Jinhai looked at his father, “Father when my sister and your daughter was out like this just after her engagement, I remember father turning the entire home upside down.”

With this, elder Lu felt speechless, “Well it was different at that time.”

“My sister was at least engaged but here we don’t know what’s going on between those two. Unless he agrees to marry my daughter, I won’t let her meet him. It’s enough now that she had taken care of him for long,” Lu Jinhai commented.

“Don’t forget he saved her life,” elder Lu countered.

“I am grateful to him for that, it is why I let Lian be by his side. But staying out with him like this, I won’t accept it.” This time Lu Jinhai didn’t look like he would listen to anyone.

Before elder Lu could say a word, Grandma spoke, “My son is right. He is worried about his daughter and any father would do the same. Once Lian is back, we will decide what to do. If they want to get married, let’s proceed with it.”

As grandma said it, no one dared drag the topic.

After Lu Feng finished breakfast, he received a message from Noah and his eyes were left wide open with it. Lu Han noticed it and asked, “What happened?”

“I need to go out,” Lu Feng said in a hurry.

“N-No. Just…I will be back soon.” Lu Feng was about to rush out, he heard Lu Han, “Is it about Lu Lijun?”

Lu Feng froze in his tracks and heard his brother again, “You don’t want me to be his elder brother and keep things hidden from me?”

“It’s not like that, brother. Fine, come with me,” Lu Feng said and Lu Han followed him.

Both hurried to the hospital in the car and Lu Han asked, “What happened to him?”

“How did you know it’s about Lu Lijun?” Lu Feng asked.

“He is the only one who can make you this anxious and worried,” Lu Han replied.

Lu Feng could say nothing about it and replied, “He is admitted to the hospital.”

“What? What happened to him?” Lu Han asked.

“He drank a little.”

“But he can’t drink,” Lu Han said and concluded, “Something must have hurt him deeply.”

“Hmm!” Lu Feng agreed and sped up his car.

Reaching the hospital, Lu Feng and Lu Han first came across Noah who was with Lu Lijun.

“How is he?” Lu Feng asked.

“Put of danger now,” Noah replied.

Just then the doctor arrived there, “Good Morning, Mr. Lu Feng.”

Lu Feng greeted him back and looked at Lu Lijun, “Any complications?”

“Not at this moment but repetitively torturing his body in such ways is not good,” the doctor replied.

Lu Feng and Lu Han felt puzzled, “Repeatedly?”

“Just two weeks back he was admitted because he almost froze to death and now this. I don’t know what is going on with him, but it’s not good. His body is still not out of the previous trauma and now this,” the doctor replied.

“I understand,” Lu Feng said and looked at Noah as he had no idea about it.

The doctor left and Noah explained everything to Lu Feng. Lu Han, who heard it, was not surprised at all, “Our younger brother is even more stubborn than us.”

“Who knows about it?” Lu Feng asked Noah.

“Brother Yang was here when I brought Lijun to the hospital.”

Lu Feng nodded and went to Lu Lijun who was lying on the bed unconscious. Lu Feng could only stare at him and pat his head. Worry for his brother was clear on his face.

“He should wake up by the evening,” Noah informed.

Lu Feng sat quietly at the edge of the bed while silently accompanying Lu Lijun and held his injured hand that was wrapped in bandages while the other two didn’t know what to say.
