With sudden coughing, Lu Lian’s face had turned red while Ming Rusheng calmly pulled out the tissue papers from the box kept on the side table of the couch. He turned to her and started to wipe the water from her lips, chin and even cleared her nose.

When he was busy wiping her face, she continued to look at Ming Rusheng in disbelief.

‘After dropping a bomb on me, how can he be so calm? He doesn’t even look like he is waiting for me to pounce on him. If a man is willing, shouldn’t he show some signaling expressions but he is as calm as always as if he feels nothing? If he wants it, he can just directly tell me let’s do it. Not like I will refuse. In fact, I am dying to….cough!’ She cleared her throat to stop her wild thoughts and stared at the man who had finished cleaning her face like a person who was doing his job dedicatedly.’

Ming Rusheng took the glass from her hand to keep it on the side table while tossing the tissue paper in the trash can.

“A-Are you teasing me?” Lu Lian asked.

Ming Rusheng looked at her, “No! I am serious about it.”

“You mean, you want me to do it for real,” she asked.

“You were the one to promise and take promises seriously,” Ming Rusheng replied.

Lu Lian was taken aback. He didn’t give a single hint that he wanted to do something but he was asking her to do it. How can a man be like this, not feeling anything in such a romantic atmosphere? ‘Right, last time too I was the one to seduce him and he was just like a saint, lying next to me.’ Lu Lian sighed.

“But you never lost your memories so that promise doesn’t count,” she countered, feeling angry at him.

Ming Rusheng was still calm. “I did lose them at the start but they returned eventually in just a few days. The only thing is when you made that promise, I have already gained all my memories long back.”

“You were playing with me despite remembering everything. That promise doesn’t count now,” Lu Lian replied angrily. “Moreover, look at you how calm you are which shows you are not interested at all but teasing me only. Which man can be calm in such a romantic situation?”

The expressions on Ming Rusheng’s face changed. It was as if someone had thrown a stone in the still water to create waves. It was as if the mask of calmness he was wearing was taken off now.

“Calm?” Ming Rusheng said coldly and held Lu Lian’s hand that was holding a blanket wrapped around her. She let go of the blanket and let him hold her hand as she was surprised to see this sudden change in him.

Ming Rusheng placed her hand on his chest, “Can you feel it?”

Lu Lian was taken aback. Though he acted calm on the surface, his body acted otherwise. His entire body was hot as if he had a fever and his heart was beating faster than she could feel. It was not the normal beating speed of the heart.

Feeling surprised she moved her sight from her hand that was on his chest and looked into his eyes which didn’t look calm but looked like a storm hidden inside them. She gulped and heard him again.

“Do you want to check somewhere else too, to check if I am calm,” Ming Rusheng’s voice sounded heavy and seductive as if he was trying to suppress something.

Lu Lian didn’t dare move her sight down his body as she knew what he meant. “I-I got it. I was just….”

Holding her hand still on his chest, Ming Rusheng leaned closer to her and said while looking into her embarrassed eyes. “I just wished to give you a chance to fulfill your promise. If it was not the case, I wouldn’t be this patient. Instead, you would be under me by now and begging me to…..um…”

Before he could talk more and embarrass her, Lu Lian moved her face closer to him and kissed him to stop him from talking. Ming Rusheng grinned inwardly seeing her blushing face and kissed her back. While engaged in hot kissing session where both were ravishing each other’s lips and tasting the sweetness while rolling their tongues together, Lu Lian kicked the blanket around her aside and even wished to remove her winter coat that Ming Rusheng helped her with as the two didn’t wish to part away even for a moment.

Once the coat was thrown away, Lu Lian moved to sit on his lap, facing him as her legs folded in knees rested on either side of his waist while her hands were moving through his hair.

Holding at her waist, Ming Rusheng helped sit comfortably and let her do what she wished as he loved the way she was kissing him and dominating him. His hands moved along her back as he could feel those fine curves of her body even through the thin fabric of her dress.

Feeling short of breath, finally, Lu Lian let him go as she continued to make up for the lack of oxygen and stared into his lustful eyes. “Is it enough for the promise and or should I go for more?”

Ming Rusheng smiled lightly and tucked the loose strands of hair behind her ears, “You are tired already. Let me handle you now.”

Before Lu Lian could say what he meant due to her hazy mind, she was laid on the couch under him. She knew what would be the next and didn’t hesitate at all.

“Wait!” She heard Ming Rusheng who moved a little and pressed one button on the other side of the hand rest of the couch.

Just as Lu Lain thought about what he was doing, there was a change at the base of the couch and soon after that couch converted into a small size bed as its lowered part moved up and settled with the sitting part of the couch where Lu Lian was lying.

It shocked her. “This..is this same couch or a new one?” she asked Ming Rusheng who moved back to lay on top of her.

“Is it important to know it at this moment?” Ming Rusheng countered and was ready to kiss her but she stopped her by covering his mouth with her palm. “First tell me.”

“It’s the same one for so many years,” Ming Rusheng answered as he moved her hand away and was ready to kiss her.

“Wait! First, answer me something,” she said looking at the man who was just ready to devour her.

“What?” he asked, calmly.

“That night, why didn’t you make it big like this? We have to sleep in a small space together,” she asked.

Now Ming Rusheng realized why she was so keen on knowing it and smirked, “Well, you can guess.”

It was surprising for her, “You did it intentionally. But why?”

“Why would I leave the chance to be closer to the woman I liked?” Ming Rusheng replied honestly.

“You liked me at that time?” she asked.

“I have liked you for so long that you can’t even think of it,” Ming Rusheng replied and he caressed her cheek with his thumb gently.

She could see the honesty in his eyes and in his words and her heart melted at this revelation. “Since when did you start liking me?”

“Ten years back, the day when you came to my office and confronted me boldly,” Ming Rusheng replied, smiling faintly at the sweet memory.

It startled her even more, “But…I thought you must hate me after that.”

“But I fell for you instead,” he replied.

“I..don’t know..what to say…”

“Don’t say anything. Let’s just do something that we could not do that night,” Ming Rusheng smirked teasingly.

A blush covering her fair and delicate cheeks, she gave a light approving nod shyly which showed her consent.
