Jiang Yuyan hesitated for a moment and said, “That day won’t come….”

“I know one day you will accept me so don’t say anything at the moment,” he interrupted her. “I told you, I will wait for you.”

Jiang Yuyan didn’t know what to say and lowered her gaze as she accepted that gift.

He spoke again, “It’s getting colder. I need to take you back home.”

She nodded only to hear him again, “I won’t be home tonight.”

She looked up at him, “You didn’t return home for long. Grandpa…”

“If I return, I might trouble you,” he interrupted her, as his sight looked heated up..

The way he looked at her, Jiang Yuyan felt her heart beating faster again and was ready to step back. She knew the meaning of this gaze.

Before she could move back, Lu Lijun pulled her closer, “At least today I deserve to get it.” He got the gift box from her hand and put it on the table.

Jiang Yuyan gulped and felt her heartbeats buzzing into her ears making her feel deaf.

With one hand surrounding her waist and the other hand caressing her cheek, he stared at her anxious face for a while to take a closer look at her.

“Are you still that afraid? Doesn’t it feel good instead?” he asked, moving his sight from her anxious eyes to trembling lips.

How could she answer it but be in a daze while dealing with the turmoil inside her? This closeness with him had started to affect her and she was scared to give in to him. She knew she didn’t love him but his advances didn’t fail to affect her. After all, she was an ordinary human whose body would react to such things and when the man was stubborn like him who didn’t wish to give up, then it was even more difficult.

His warm palm that caressed her cheek, was enough to give her goosebumps. Since when exactly she had become sensitive to such things. This guy sure had messed up her mind.

Lu Lijun moved his face closer to kiss her. She wanted to stop him but couldn’t. The moment his lips touched hers, she felt she would go crazy. She needed to stop him right at this moment and tried to move her face back but felt his hand gripping the back of her neck to not let her move.

The next moment she felt his warm lips sucking on her delicate lips gently. She stood still, determined to not react to it but couldn’t stop feeling the tempting sweetness of that kiss. This time it gave her butterflies in the stomach but she controlled herself from not kissing him back. Her eyes still open she moved her sight towards his face only to find his eyes close and he looked immersed in that one-sided kiss as if he was tasting the most delicious thing he carved for.

Lu Lijun opened his eyes as if he sensed her gaze on him closely and she averted her sight from him. That pair of pitch-black intense eyes gazed at her and she felt they could look through her soul to find out what she was feeling at the moment- she was tempted to kiss him back.

Lu Lijun stopped and she hesitantly looked back at him, only to hear him, “You don’t need to hold back. Feel free to kiss me back.”

Those passionate eyes of him that any woman would want to drown into them but she knew she could never be that woman.

She looked away again and said, “We should return now.”

He made her look back at him, “I am not done yet,” and kissed her again. His hand resting on her back moved up to mingled with hair on the back of her head while the other one settled at the back of her neck. Her hands moved to clutch his suit jacket on either side to hold herself steady as this man suddenly kissed her passionately while sliding his tongue in her cavern.

Though she didn’t kiss him back, she couldn’t deny it felt great and somehow managed to hold herself back. She was getting used to his touches and felt nothing strange. His warm tongue tasting her tongue was enough to make her go weak in her knees now but she didn’t show it up in her actions.

She felt his hot breath brushing her skin and felt his manly scent that seemed seductive to her now. The way he was holding her, kissing her while sucking her lips hard and messing with her tongue, the way he smelled, and the soft and needy groans she heard from him in between the kissing, everything about him suddenly turned seductive to her.

Lu Lijun could feel the changes in the way she felt. He felt her grip on his suit jacket was tightening and he could feel her letting out soft moans which she successfully buried in her throat. He wanted to hear her but she was so stubborn.

Lu Lijun had no other option so he let go of her lips and moved to her neck and sucked harshly.

“Ahh…” she couldn’t stop herself this time from making that sound which came out in the reflex of his seductive action.

Finally, he heard it and it only added fuel to what he was feeling. Lu Lijun held her tight and continued to suck the skin of her neck as he made her look up by clutching hair on the back of her head softly and the other hand shifted away the collar of her trench coat to get good access to her neck.

For a moment Lu Lijun regretted putting that trench coat on her which didn’t allow him to kiss her shoulders and collar bones which he observed when she came out of the lounge after wearing that wide neckline dress. But for now, this was enough to quench his thirst.

“L-Lu Lijun…let me go…” she said in a shaky voice, trying to suppress her moans and trying to push him with her weaker strength. It was too much for her as she was scared she might give in to his desires.

“I want to hear you more,” he said, still continuing to suck on her neck everywhere, not leaving a single inch untouched.

“Please, stop it,” she said, as she shut her eyes tightly.

When she requested, he couldn’t continue. He was not the one to force himself on her even though he was going crazy at this moment and had all sorts of wild thoughts about her. He wanted to have her desperately.

Panting heavily, he let her go and she was the same as him. Her breathing was heavy and she thought she would lose to him soon if he wouldn’t let her go.

Lu Lijun turned around and closed his eyes as he moved his hands from his hair feeling frustrated over this situation. He grabbed the water bottle from the table and had a few sips first to calm himself down. Breathing deeply, he opened his eyes and turned to look at her, who looked all lost and disturbed.

“Have water,” he passed her a water bottle.

Not looking at him, she accepted the bottle and drank a little.

“I will take you home,” he said and she nodded.

Lu Lijun offered her his hand and she looked at him.

“It’s a slope and not smooth at night,” he answered.

Jiang Yuyan accepted his hand and both walked to go towards their car where San Zemin’s men were waiting.

Lu Lijun looked at them as they bowed to him. “Clear everything out.”

The two men nodded and Jiang Yuyan didn’t know what to do.

Lu Lijun knew what she must have felt, “Don’t worry, they didn’t see us. Even if they did, they should get used to it as this won’t be the last time.”

Jiang Yuyan had nothing to say to him as she was busy cursing herself the way she acted. She let herself get affected by his actions. How could she let it happen?

‘It won’t happen again. I won’t let it happen.’ She was determined.

They left to go to Lu Mansion. On the way home, no one talked. As usual Lu Lijun gave her time to process over things. He knew what happened today must have shaken her up as she was affected by his actions finally and she must be cursing herself.

They reached Lu Mansion. Jiang Yuyan was about to step out of the car, he said, “Good night!”

Jiang Yuyan knew he said he would not come home so she didn’t insist on him. What happened today was enough and it would be better if he stayed away.

“Good night!” Jiang Yuyan wished and stepped out of the car.

Lu Lijun turned the car and left as Jiang Yuyan could only stare at it till the car disappeared from her sight.

He was away from home because of her and she had no other way to stop him. Why can’t they live normally together with a family? Why did this have to happen that he was back but was still away from his family? Did she have to go away so that he could finally stay with his family? Seems like only one of them could stay, either her or him. All sorts of things came to her mind.
