It was lunchtime for Jiang Yang. After being busy with the surgery since early morning, he was starving now. Just as he came out of the operation theater, he came across another doctor who had just finished with her emergency surgery.

“Doctor Wu,” Jiang Yang greeted her.

“Doctor Jiang, good to see you here. I have something to discuss with you,” the woman in her early thirties informed.

“Is it about my sister?” Jiang Yang asked though he was sure it was the case.

“Hmm,” she nodded.

“We can have lunch together,” Jiang Yang offered.

The doctor smiled, “Your treat.”

Jiang Yang smiled too, “Then I will order the expensive food to honor the lady.”

“I am starving that I can eat anything,” she replied and the two left.

The two went to the restaurant closer to the hospital. After they ordered the food, Jiang Yang asked, “How is she?”

“Not so good. I visited her a week back for her usual period problem and I can only see her getting depressed every passing day. As a family, you should do something about her. Her condition worries me,” the doctor replied.

Jiang Yang sighed, “I want to but she doesn’t allow anyone. If she gets to know I get her every update from you, she will stop getting treatment from you and I will know nothing.”

“That’s true. I am sorry to say but I have never seen a stubborn woman like her,” the doctor smiled.

“I know,” Jiang Yang agreed and said, “I would like to know her current condition.”

The doctor explained everything to him and said, “I think doctor An Tian can suggest what to do. I can only treat her physical condition to my capability but all of her issues are mostly psychological. Unless her psychic condition is better, nothing can work.”

“I will talk to him,” Jiang Yang replied, the worry for his sister was evident in his eyes, and the helplessness he felt to be not able to help his sister felt even worse.

The doctor knew how Jiang Yang felt and said, “Don’t worry, doctor Jiang. She will be fine. She is not just stubborn but the strongest woman I have ever seen.”

Jiang Yang could only nod to it.

In the evening after office hours, Lu Lijun was ready to go out with his wifey. He freshened up and was ready in a new suit.

“All the best for what you are doing all this,” Noah said, seeing how nicely ready his friend was.

“Thank you,” Lu Lijun said and Noah stepped out of Lu Lijun’s office after arranging the files in the order.

Lu Lijun stepped out too and went towards the president’s office with a shopping bag in his hand. The floor was empty as everyone had been asked to leave just as work hours would be over.

Xiao Min stepped out of the office and Lu Lijun asked, “Is she still working?”

Xiao Min nodded.

“You can leave,” Lu Lijun instructed.

“Boss is still in the office so I can’t….”

“I am taking her out with me. Do you wish to follow us?”

“No.. I don’t mean that….”

“See you tomorrow,” Lu Lijun said and entered Jiang Yuyan’s office without giving Xiao Min a chance to say anything.

When Lu Lijun entered the office, Jiang Yuyan was still busy working and didn’t look at who had entered the office.

“Didn’t I tell you we are going somewhere and you have to be free?” Lu Lijun said.

“We can leave after I finish it,” she replied, still not looking at him.

‘How dare he control me and order me? I will go when I want,’ she thought. Not like she had the option of refusing him so she would prefer to do it in her own way.

“I don’t mind going late and waiting for you as long as you are with me but we have to reach there before sunset,” Lu Lijun added.

Jiang Yuyan looked at the clock and Lu Lijun said, “Get up fast and wear this,” he put the shopping bag in his hand on the table. If he had sent her the bag, he was sure she would have thrown it away somewhere.

“Wear this?” She gave him a questioning look as she looked at the shopping bag.

“Dress for you. I want you to wear this,” Lu Lijun replied.

“I am fine in these clothes,” she countered.

“But I am not,” he said as his sight turned into the warning one, “Will you wear it on your own, or would you like to receive some help from him?”

“You dare.”

“I sure dare to do it but you might not like it,” he said.

“Thank god you have that much sense left in you.”

“My all senses are off since the moment I fell for you so don’t expect me to be sensible,” he said.

Jiang Yuyan sighed and thought, ‘Gosh, even the mocking won’t work on this guy. Such a shameless man he has turned into.’

“I know,” Lu Lijun spoke as if he had read what was in her mind.

Jiang Yuyan averted her sight and thought, ‘He is reading my thoughts again. Don’t know how.’

Seeing the lack of reaction from her, Lu Lijun grabbed the bag and went to her side of the table as he offered her his hand, “Let’s change your clothes.”

Jiang Yuyan shrugged his hand and stood up. “Give me that bag.”

Lu Lijun handed her over the bag and said while looking at her as a light smirk painted on his lips, “I don’t mind helping you like how I did in brother An Tian’s boutique’s private room.”

She stepped aside as he blocked her way and said, “If it won’t fit, I will prefer to wear what I am wearing.”

“It will fit perfectly. Don’t worry,” he was confident and she looked at him puzzled not knowing what to say.

He smirked, “After sleeping with you so many times, I know what….”

“Enough,” saying she strode towards the lounge and he said, “I will wait for you here.”

She didn’t reply and entered the lounge as the next thing she did was locking the door from inside.

In a while, Jiang Yuyan came out of the lounge wearing the dress that Lu Lijun brought for her. As usual, the young man couldn’t take his eyes off of her and she felt awkward under his stare.

The olive green colored knee-length pencil fit dress looked perfect on her. The wide neckline allowed her slender neck and collarbones to be seen and the laser cut less material wrapped around her hands to the elbows. That shiny silk base material with less fabric mixed with delicate tulle material looked like one with her perfectly carved body.

Other than wearing a dress, she made no changes in her appearance. Her hair was still tied in a bun and she applied no additional makeup but still, she looked pretty as always.

She never wore anything other than white and black in this dress. She looked totally different. Lu Lijun strode towards her and she stepped back.

“I won’t be doing anything else. Wearing this dress is enough,” she spoke.

“I don’t mind you without this dress even,” he teased and went closer though she was sulking with his reply.

Lu Lijun turned her around and stood behind her as his hands worked on her hair but only to leave her hair open. He turned her around again to face him and started to fix her hair with his fingers.

“Now you look like my Yuyan from the past,” he spoke.

‘My Yuyan?’ she thought and he spoke again while looking at her. “Yes, mine..and always mine only.”

Jiang Yuyan could only roll her eyes at him.

Lu Lijun glared at her and said, “Roll your eyes at me once again and I will make that leftover lipgloss on your lips disappear in a moment.”

Jiang Yuyan wanted to threaten him saying- ‘You dare’ but she knew she couldn’t. If she said it, he would definitely dare do it.

“Aren’t we getting late now?” she asked to save herself from his intimidating gaze.

Lu Lijun nodded and held her hand and the two left Jiang Yuyan’ss office.

She frowned looking at her hand that he didn’t let go even if she tried to retreat, “Can’t you let go of my hand? Not like I am going anywhere.”

Lu Lijun scoffed, “As if I will ever let you go.”

The two entered the elevator and she said, “I don’t want security to see you holding my hand. They will take it wrong.”

“What’s wrong with it?”

“That…..” she hesitated.

“Whatever they will think would be right so let them be,” he said.

“I am the president here who they respect. In their eyes, it will look wrong.”

“We can’t let our relationship affect what others think,” Lu Lijun didn’t let go of her hand and said instead. “I would like to keep holding this hand all the time.”

“If you want me to come with you quietly and listen to you then let it go,” she said, “It’s a request.”

“Request? Fine!” Finally, he let go of her hand and added, “You said you will listen to me.”

“Hmm,” she nodded and Lu Lijun smiled lightly.

The two stepped out of the elevator and walked towards Lu Lijun’s car which was parked at the entrance of the building. The guards were surprised to see Jiang Yuyan looking different from how she always came to the office but no one dared to look at her properly as they lowered their heads.

Jiang Yuyan could sense what was going on but she ignored it because she was the boss.

Lu Lijun opened the car door for her and made her sit in the front passenger seat and went on to sit in the driver seat.

This time without a mistake Jiang Yuyan had put on her seatbelt on her own or she knew this guy won’t forget to take advantage of it. In her mind, she had a list ready of the precautions she should take when Lu Lijun was around, for example not giving him a chance to fix a seat belt for her. Not to challenge him for anything or he will do the same or opposite of it, however, it fits his taste- In short ‘avoid arguing with him. Listen to him quietly so he won’t turn aggressive and so on.

Lu Lijun observed her from the corner of his eyes and could only smile lightly. How cautious she was around him all the time. Though she lost her temper once in a while, she would collect herself immediately.

The adorable wild cat was getting tamed nicely.
