“Who are you cursing so badly?” Someone asked.

Startled, she looked at the person who stood in front of her. In anger, she didn’t even notice who was around her and continued walking.

“Brother Feng?” She exclaimed in surprise as his sudden presence startled her. ‘Wasn’t I talking in my mind? Was I loud? My foul mouth,’ she thought.

Lu Feng stepped towards her and patted her head, “Who is the lucky one to get cursing from my sister?”

“Cursing? I didn’t,” she denied and looked embarrassed.

“I know how good you are at it. Your face shows someone has just pissed you off, and you want to stab that person,” Lu Feng added.

Lu Lian lowered her head and mumbled, “Why am I so obvious to you?”

Lu Feng smiled, “It’s just that I know my sister well. She is not good at hiding her anger.”

“True, she can never hide it. I pity the person who faced her anger,” Lu Bao came to them.

Lu Feng and Lu Bao smiled.

“I want to know the details,” Lu Bao insisted.

“She must be tired,” Lu Feng interrupted.

“I’m sure she has a lot to tell us. Let’s sit somewhere,” Lu Bao held her hand and took her to the bench under the tree in the garden.

“Walk slowly, you pregnant lady,” Lu Lian warned.

“Don’t worry, this pregnant lady and her baby are strong.”

Lu Feng stayed back, thinking two sisters must want some privacy, but Lu Bao turned to look at him, “Brother, you should join us too.”

Lu Feng followed them. The two sisters sat on the bench while Lu Feng stood beside the bench.

“How’s Mr. Wen? Is he like our brothers? I mean a good man,” Lu Bao asked.

“He seems good,” Lu Lian replied honestly.

Lu Bao gave out a sigh of relief, “Good to know it because only a man like our brothers is allowed to marry you.”

Lu Lian looked at her in disbelief as there was nothing about marrying Wen Zac, and Lu Feng just smiled at his silly sister.

Noticing how Lu Lian stared at her, Lu Bao exclaimed, “What? Why do you think I decided to marry Mu Xichen?”

Lu Lian gave her a questioning look, and Lu Bao replied, “Because he is just like our brothers. See, I was right and how much he loves me. Also, he loved his sister. The man who loves his sister can understand the other woman.”

Lu Lian looked at Lu Feng as she sighed, “Brother, this girl, and her logic.”

Lu Feng just smiled and asked, “How was it? What did you talk about?”

“Nothing much. He told me so many things about brother Lu Qiang,” Lu Lian replied.

It surprised the other two, and Lu Bao asked, “What did he tell? I want to know it too.”

Lu Feng waited to hear too.

Lu Lian told them Everything as a pleasant smile painted on her lips, remembering Lu Qiang again while the other two felt the same.

Once she was done, Lu Bao spoke, “I miss him too.”

Lu Feng stood silent, and Lu Bao asked, “Everything went fine then what were you angry about? Did he do something to upset you?”

Lu Lian shook her head.

“Then?” Lu Bao asked.

“It’s nothing,” Lu Lian replied, not willing to answer.

“Let her go now. She looks tired,” Lu Feng instructed, and Lu Bao obeyed.

Lu Lian went to the mansion while Lu Bao talked to Lu Feng, “I’m sure something is troubling her.”

Lu Feng patted Lu Bao’s head, “Don’t think much. You should focus on the baby. Let’s go inside.”

While walking towards the mansion, Lu Feng looked at the mansion gate as if something was in his mind, which Lu Bao noticed,

“What happened, brother?”

“Nothing.”

When Lu Lian reached the living room, her parents were there.

She greeted them, and before her mother could ask her, she answered, “We had dinner, and he seems a good person.”

Her reaction startled them, and Lu Lian spoke again, “I’m tired,” and left to go upstairs.

“What’s with her,” Ning Jiahui mumbled.

“Let her be. Talk to her tomorrow,” Lu Jinhai suggested.

Lu Lian went to her room and straightaway went to the bathroom. Standing under the shower, she thought about what Ming Rusheng did.

Whatever she tried and how much she hated him, she couldn’t get him out of her mind. Since the day he hurt her, she acted cold to him and showed he didn’t mean anything to her, but whenever she was alone, she would think about the time they spent together.

She hated it but couldn’t stop herself. “I’m so pathetic,” she mumbled in frustration.

Burying her face in her palms, she spoke, “That jerk, I hate him.”

But the next moment, what he said to her while pinning her against the car, flashed in her mind.

‘Was he right? Would have I let him kiss me even after how he treated me?’ she thought.

The way he was confident about her reaction towards him, she didn’t like it.

‘Bear it till you resign,’ she continued consoling herself.

When she was ready to go to bed, there was a knock on the door.

“Come in,” she said.

Lu Feng entered the room.

She didn’t expect Lu Feng to be there. “Brother?”

closing the door, he stood there and asked, “That car, was that Ming Rusheng?”
