“Did he talk about me?” Lu Lian asked.

Wen Zac nodded, “About you and Lu Lijun.”

“What did he say?” she asked.

“He was proud of you for being an obedient girl but felt bad that he couldn’t give you much time because of Lu Lijun.” Wen Zac replied.

“Lu Lijun needed him more,” she said.

“He knew you understood it.”

The two continued the dinner, talking more about Lu Qiang while certain someone had already lost his appetite.

Once the dinner was done, the two were ready to leave. Wen Zac looked at where Ming Rusheng sat, but there was no one.

“When did this guy leave?” Wen Zac spoke, and Lu Lian looked there too.

She didn’t know what to think about it. She preferred to console herself, saying it didn’t concern her and he was nobody to her.

Wen Zac accompanied her to the car. “It was nice meeting you,” Wen Zac said.

She said the same and sat inside the car.

“Are you sure you can go alone?” Wen Zac asked, feeling worried.

She nodded, “Don’t worry. I’m used to it.”

The two left in their cars, parting ways outside of the hotel.

When Lu Lian crossed some distance away from the hotel, on the highway, one car followed her.

Lu Lian continued driving on the highway towards her way back home. After some time, she took one exit, which had hardly any vehicles running over it.

The other car continued following her by maintaining quite a long distance. Suddenly, Lu Lian stepped on the gas to get more speed, and the other car did the same. The two cars continued to drive at full speed on the empty road.

SCREECH!!!

There was a sudden sound of tires screeching on the road as Lu Lian stepped on the break, turning her car perpendicular to the road to block it.

SCREECH!!!

Again there was a sound of wheels screeching on the road. This time it was the car that followed Lu Lian.

The car following her was at speed and stopped just a few inches away from Li Lian’s car as the driver managed to step on the break immediately.

There was a high chance the car would collide with Lu Lian’s car and cause a dangerous accident.

Lu Lian was still in the car, not being scared of getting into the accident. Seeing the other car stopped, she stepped out to go to it. She knocked on the window through which she could see the driver resting his head on the steering wheel, holding it tightly.

The driver leaned back and looked at Lu Lian, who waited for him to come out.

The car’s door opened, and she heard the man’s angry voice as he stepped out, “Do you want to die? What the hell were you doing?”

It didn’t affect Lu Lian as she stared at the man, “Mr. Ming, shouldn’t I be the one asking why were you following me?”

Ming Rusheng didn’t answer her and asked, “Are you hurt?”

“First, answer me why Mr. Ming followed me?” she asked.

“I was going on my way,” he denied her claim.

“I think this is the opposite side from where Ming Mansion and Ming Industries office is, and this way leads you out of the city. Late at night, Mr. Ming planned to leave the city when tomorrow early morning we have an important meeting in the office,” she countered that Ming Rusheng had no way to get back at her.

He stared at her. This woman was amazingly confident to ask him straightaway and to put her life in danger to catch him.

He acted as if he didn’t understand what she meant and asked, “What if it was not me and someone dangerous?”

“First, I would like to get an answer to my question,” she countered.

“I told you, I was going somewhere,” he spoke, still busy observing her if she was hurt.

Lu Lian continued, “Then how will Mr. Ming explain following me when once I returned home by cab. Not just following me but waited for me to get inside the Mansion.”

It startles Ming Rusheng. He understood she knew he followed her that day. She went by cab, and it was late, so he was just worried for her. Today too, she had a little drink, so he was concerned for her, but who would say it? After hurting her, he could never say that he did it out of worry for her.

She chuckled, “Are you a stalker, Mr. Ming or……Ummm…?”

Before she could talk more, he held her and kissed her roughly by pushing her to the car behind her. She tried to push him, but he was strong and continued kissing her for a while.

When he stopped kissing, she pushed him aside as the anger evident on her face, “You..How dare you?”

“You should know when to shut your mouth,” he countered.

“Just because we kissed before, don’t think that you can do it whenever you want,” she glared at him.

“Really?” Saying he stepped towards her, looking at her mockingly. She had to step back, but again, there was a car behind her.

She was stuck between him and the car as he put his hands on the car, on her either side, to not let her move.

“Do you really think I can’t kiss you?” he asked, staring straight into her eyes.

“You can because my strength is no match for you,” she replied, trying not to be intimidated by him and maintaining a calm stance as she stared back at him.

“Listen carefully,” he commanded, and she gulped, waiting to hear him.

He continued, “To kiss you, I don’t need to use my strength. If I kiss you at this moment, you will kiss me back. You won’t even resist.”

She continued staring at him, “You are mistaken.”

“Should we try?” Saying, he moved his face closer to kiss her, and she turned her face to one side to avoid him.

As the one side of her face was visible to him, he observed it from the side of the eye, which tried to look away as much as she could, temple, her cheek, ear, and the jawline.

He smiled lightly and pecked on her cheek as he inhaled deeply.

Lu Lian felt frozen as she didn’t expect him to do it.

“Doesn’t seem like a good time for kissing.” Saying he moved back, and she looked at him.

“Get in the car,” he instructed.

“I know what to do,” she countered and opened her car door to sit inside.

Just as she got inside, he spoke again, “Whether you want it or not, I’m following you till you reach home.”

Lu Lian didn’t react and started the car to drive away. Ming Rusheng got into his car and followed her to the Lu Mansion.

Once he made sure her car entered the Lu Mansion, he left.
