“Did she miss her medicines?” Lu Feng asked as he noticed Jiang Yang frowning, seeing the untouched strips of the medicine strips from Jiang Yuyan’s bag.

Jiang Yang nodded. “Hmm! She is weak after the accident and…..” Jiang Yang couldn’t come up to mention his sister losing a baby. “It’s just a month since the incident and she already had severe blood loss so she needed to take this.”

Lu Feng glared at Xiao Min, “Were you this irresponsible since the start, Xiao Min?”

Xiao Min had nothing to say as it was his job to look after his boss. “My apology. Sometimes I can’t dare to ask her to do something as she is…..”

“It’s okay. I know how my sister is. It’s not your fault, instead, It’s my fault for not being able to look after these things knowing she is so ignorant about it.” Jiang Yang interrupted Xiao Min.

“Will she be alright or we need to admit her in the hospital?” Lu Feng asked.

“She just needs a proper rest with nothing to do, but it seems difficult at this point,” said Jiang Yang.

“Don’t worry, I will help her handle the matters in the company. We just have to keep her away from the other things,” concluding, Lu Feng looked at Xiao Min, “Is there something you guys have planned on the other side?”

Lu Feng was talking about the other side that Jiang Yuyan was a boss of. Even before Xiao Min could answer, the door of the lounge opened as one man entered inside in a hurry.

“What happened to the boss?”

That was San Zemin, and he looked anxious. His man, who was always out of Jiang Yuyan’s office informed San Zemin that the boss was not well. San Zemin had instructed him to report each and everything, so he had to pass this news too.

“Boss is fine,” Xiao Min assured him.

Seeing Jiang Yang and Lu Feng, San Zemin felt relieved.

“She is not fine at all, San Zemin, so for a while stop all your activities and let her rest,” Lu Feng instructed.

“Yes, Mr. Lu Feng,” San Zemin agreed.

All four men were worried about her, and everyone thought about just one thing. If Lu Qiang was there, seeing her like this he would have created chaos and he would be mad at himself and others.

Xiao Min and San Zemin went out to sit in the office while Lu Feng and Jiang Yang sat on the couch of the lounge so that they could look after her. Among those four, no one wanted to leave her side.

Lu Feng and Jiang Yang both recalled the day when Jiang Yuyan was not well because of her periods and how Lu Qiang took care of her and how they spent the time together. Those memories could only bring tears into their eyes so it was not hard for them to imagine what must go through Jiang Yuyan’s mind whenever she looked at the places she had spent her time together with Lu Qiang. She must feel like crying but had suppressed her emotions all the time and it was the reason that could affect her health.

Jiang Yang, who always acted cool and calm, looked tense as he looked at his sister.

“What are you thinking, Jiang Yang?” Lu Feng asked.

Leaning back on the couch as if he was tired, Jiang Yang replied, “I am worried for her.”

“Hmm! I can understand.”

“She is not at all fine. It’s difficult to go through this. It has been just a month and not just her body but her mind needs a rest too but one after other things are coming into her way to not let her rest.”

“I will try my best to help with the business so she won’t have to stress herself,” Lu Feng informed.

Thinking about something for a while, Jiang Yang called, “Lu Feng!”

“Hmm!”

“Why didn’t you want to marry Yuyan when your mother asked you to do so?” Jiang Yang asked.

“Because I didn’t want her to do anything that was against her will,” Lu Feng replied.

“You are a good man, Lu Feng?” said Jiang Yang as he closed his eyes and rested his head back on the couch.

“I don’t know what you are talking about,” commenting, Lu Feng leaned back to and closed his eyes.

Turning his face to look at Lu Feng, Jiang Yang spoke again, “Lu Feng!”

“Hmm!”

“Can I say something?”

“Will you listen if I say no?” Lu Feng countered.

Jiang Yang smiled a little as he looked at Lu Feng. “I didn’t say this but I would have been happy if she had married you.”

Lu Feng opened his eyes and turned his face to look at Jiang Yang. “But she wouldn’t be happy, Jiang Yang.”

“She would have needed the time and I am sure you would have given her plenty until she accepted you. I know you would have cared and loved her a lot just like Lu Qiang did,” said Jiang Yang.

Lu Feng didn’t know what to say about it and stayed silent for a while. “There is no use of talking about this now.”

“Why? Is it because she married to Lu Lijun? But, you know that marriage makes no sense and she is still single.” Jiang Yang countered.

“I think we should just leave her alone with her life’s decision whether she wants to be with someone or wants to be alone,” Lu Feng suggested.

“I think, as a brother, I am just being selfish but I would like it if she thinks about to marry again and the person she will choose would be you, Lu Feng.”

“You are right about what you are thinking, Jiang Yang but the thing you said is not possible now. Let her and I be like friends only. I would be happy to be in her life as her friend.”

“You can be her friend even after getting married. Don’t you love her?” Jiang Yang asked even though he knew that was not the case.
