MY BESTFRIEND SLIPPED INSIDE ME (AN ALPHA’S SECRET) - Season 2 Episode 74
Avery’s pov
* thirty minutes before going to mom’s*
When we reached the infirmary my eyes widen as I snap my gaze to Xade’s. The place is secluded and private so I had no fear that someone would catch sight of me, except for Xade’s pack members as he had mentioned.
I have always wondered what was in that building! I knew your dad owned it and there was this rumor going around that it was used for selling drugs-
I bit my tongue to stop from yapping and glanced at Xade who looked like he was having a hard time to not laugh at me. I rolled my eyes. “It was just a silly rumor and I didn’t think that it was true or anything,” I uttered, unbuckling my seatbelt.
One thing about the Archer’s, they were loaded………..including in vehicles. This black jeep was one of Xade’s babies.

Xade’s eyes twinkle with amusement. “It’s actually exactly what you’re thinking,” he says making my jaw slacken. ” Really?” I gasped, my eyes widening.
Xade could no longer hold in his laughter and threw his head back to laugh at me. I glared at him. When he sobers up, her stares at me with that twinkle in his eyes that made my gaze soften even though he was technically laughing at me.
No baby,” He snorts. ” I assure you it’s nothing like that. It’s just a safe place for the pack where we can get medical help without raising warning signals in human hospitals,” he said, casing my mind.
I smacked his shoulder. “You’re annoying,” I huffed and opened the door, leaving him chuckling. When he gets out too, he sidles up to my side and pulls me against his side, his arm slinging over my shoulder.
As we stepped into the building I am stunned to see so many people I’ve known in this town walking around the place. Hearing our arrival, they all turn their heads, staring at me and then at Xade.
Alpha,” they bowed their head in a way that revealed their necks.

My brows furrowed and I made a mental note to ask Xade about their weird greeting later on. As we move I can’t help but notice how they stared at me in confusion. They must be wondering why I was here…..
I smile at Jeana who was an older lady selling flowers in the town. She has always been kind to me, now knowing she was actually a werewolf was kind of shocking. She greets me, winking as she darts her eyes between Xade and me.
I flushed, hoping the floor would open up and swallow me whole. I had a feeling they all now knew Xade and I were together. Since they were werewolves…do they also know I am pregnant? I flushed brighter.
When we finally stepped into the room Xaden and Kaylee were in, I am surprised to see Kaylee glaring at Xaden who was sitting on a chair beside her bed. My brows furrowed. ” What’s going on?”
Kaylee removes her annoyed gaze on Xaden and shifts her eyes to mine, her gaze softening. “I have told him I am fine and the doctor also told me I am healed completely, but he wants me to stay here until he’s certain I am okay.”
Xaden looks at us and I can see the frustration and concern for Kaylee in his eyes. “She’s been insisting she’s okay but winces every single time she shifts her leg,”
Kaylee blushes. “It’s because they cramp casily,”
Xaden snorted. ” Yeah right baby, let’s wait a few and then we’ll see if you’re okay or not.”
She glares at him and huffs, crossing her arms in frustration. ” You’re impossible.”
Xade snorted. “Welcome to the family.”
