Avery’s pov

My pulse raced as fear seized every fiber of my being, a cold sweat tracing down my spine in alarm. With wide eyes, and my heart in my throat I make haste to the door.

But as expected Kyan’s arms reach out and he jerks me back until my back slammed against the closet door hard. A shocked painful scream tore from my throat as the pain shoot up my spine.

“You’re trying to run away before the fun starts?” He taunted. gripping my arm until I hissed in pain.

“Release me!” I cried out loud, hoping someone coular and heart to come over and stop Kyan from whatever he was thinking of doing. Kyan was not only much bigger than me but was stronger. fighting him off would be a struggle.

He chuckle dryly “No one will come to help V.” he mocked. “They probably think I’m f*cking your brains out since everyone now knows how easy you are.”

As his shadow loomed over me like a huge tree that branched out. fear clutched me even more and my heart sank into my stomach. The look in his eyes, the emotionless glaze. A sob shook in my throat and I fought him off. trying to take my nails across his arms.

“Let me go Kyan!” I yelled in fear. gasping and falling just at the edge. of the bed when he backhand me across my face. The sting burned my skin. but the impact of my face smacking the floor was more painful.

My ears rang and my vision blurred I could have sworn I heard Xade’s

voice through the phone, yelling but am not sure if I was just imagining it or not.

A scream tore from my throat when his fingers wrap around my hair to force me to my feet. pushing his hand on my mouth to muffle the sounds of fear that roared out of my mouth.

As the taste of his bitter palm touch my lips. I opened my mouth and bit him, reaching behind me to remove his fingers from my tresses. He hissed, cursing me as my teeth sank into the flesh of his palm.

Freeing me. I don’t waste time as I whirl around and bolted for the door. screaming help. But as my fingers brush against the cold metal. my head is jerked back once more.

You f*cking bi*ch!” Kyan hissed, pulling me in his arms. I turn around and kneed him between his legs. He let out an coph sound. retching out a cough.

As he doubled over in pain I seized the opportunity and race to the door, determined to get out and never come back here again.

But as victory and freedom gleamed in front of me, the dark branches from the tree entwined with my clothes and with a harsh tug. I am forced back. just breaths away from the door handle.

I cried for help, tears now running down my cheeks until I can taste them on my tongue. My cries don’t seem to reach anyone or maybe they just didn’t care. Am I really not able to escape this b*stard?

My feet gave way under me when he pulls me back harshly, this time I land on the bed, just beside the phone. I can hear his voice clearly now, hear the panic, the rage. Xade.

“Xade.” I sobbed. feeling st*pid to have walked right into a trap.

“I’m coming baby.” Xade voice broke out from the phone. “Hold on. I’ll

Kyan laughed cruelly “Awe you two are so sweet.” He taunted, just as he gripped my ankles and tug me harshly “Perfect couple.”

I wrestled, crying out for someone to help while he tried to crawl on top of me. But even with all that fighting. I am no match for someone with his strength.”Did you give Xade this much trouble? You like it rough?”

I yelped when he grabbed my chin and squeezed hard, causing my bottom teeth to ache in pain. I try to bring my knee up again, but this time he is smart to press his hips on my thigh to prevent my knee from making contact with his family jewels.

“Kyan stop!” I shrieked as his hands wrestle to touch me in places I didn’t want his nasty fingers to grasp I cried when he squeezed my breasts hard and groaned on top of me.

Tears soaked the sheets under ime, the heavy weight of him plastering me down to the bed in defeat. However the voice of Xade coming from the phone made me not want to give up.

I scratch at his face, gasping under his palm when he press it roughly over my mouth to stifle my cries of help. Choking, I tried to move under him and grab his hair. He hissed, moving from one of my fingers that sought for his eyeballs.

“You bit*h!” He hissed. “Stay f*cking still godda*mit!” He snarled, pressing me down further into the bed until my hips hurt by the sheer force of his weight.

“Or I’ll force you to.” He warned, eyes glistening with promise to hurt me. I swallowed my cry, helplessly thrashing about so he’d release me. But as I look into his cold eyes, I realize that he had every intention to hurt me today. He’d not let me go. And that frightened me.

Defeat made my stomach muscles tighten and I sobbed, fear clutching me as my mind haze with thoughts of not being strong enough to keep

lighting.
