Lu Beichen was suspended mid-air. His face was pale, and his body had become skinny.

Gu Jingyan panicked and wondered if he had already… left this world, for he was already motionless.

“Lu Beichen,” she cried out in fear and rushed in.

As she saw him, tied up there, she reached out for a dagger from her shoe, and with that sharp dagger, she cut the rope that tied his hands.

Gu Jingyan quickly held onto Lu Beichen.
