Gu Jingze said, “What’s it got to do with them?”

“It seems like they have marked us after that day at the public sea.”

Gu Jingze gave it a serious thought. “Alright, I understand. Follow them.”

Lin Che was still worried.

Gu Jingze consoled her on the way.

“Don’t worry. We have no feud with those Arabic men. They wouldn’t do anything to Lu Beichen. The most he’ll face is some punishment. They won’t take his life.”

Lin Che pursed her lips. She somehow felt that this was like saying receiving punishments was already not bad.

But it made sense. Lu Beichen and Gu Jingyan’s recent divorce had driven their brotherhood to a bad spot.

Now that he was here to help, it was him being kind hearted.

But to have him punished was really showing his true feelings.

Lin Che said, “Then tell me, what should we do now?”

“I’ll get someone to investigate. I’m sure nothing will happen to him. We’ll wait for Jingyan to get here and handle the matter.”

Lin Che wondered why they had to wait for Jingyan to arrive.

But looking at Gu Jingze, it looked like he already had a plan. So, she could only listen to him and not ask further.

Gu Jingze said, “Let’s go get you something to eat first.”

Once outside, the two of them randomly found some fast-food restaurant to have their meal.

This fast food, along with the ambience in Northern Europe, was really… too horrible to eat.

Lin Che was somehow not used to it. So, she only had a few bites and did not want to eat anymore.

Gu Jingze noticed the situation and also put down his food. “Why? You can’t stomach it in?”

“Yes…”

“I’ll get someone to prepare some Chinese food…”

“Oh, you don’t have to. Don’t go through the trouble. I’m full, I just don’t feel good eating more.”

Just then, from the side, a tourist from C Nation recognized her.

“Wow, look. Lin Che.”

People from C Nation were everywhere.

Lin Che looked up in embarrassment.

Then the tourists also recognized Gu Jingze.

Lin Che wanted to say that it was their private time and that it was not convenient to take pictures. But just at that moment, she saw two of the Arabic men who had appeared in front of them.

They scoffed. “No matter where we are, no one can stop our guns. Especially now when the two of you are here.”

Gu Jingze said, “Tell me first. What do you guys want?”

“If you want him back safe and sound, you must help us get the ginseng.”

So, it was because of the ginseng.

But what did he mean ‘to help get the ginseng?’

Lin Che thought of what had happened at the public sea that day. In a moment, she sort of guessed some stuff.

That day, after seeing Gu Jingze’s performance, they felt that his resourcefulness would have a higher chance of getting the ginseng. So, they wanted Gu Jingze to help them?

Wishful thinking.

Gu Jingze looked at them. “Sorry, we want the ginseng.”

Right away, their guns went off again.

They turned the place into a warzone, too severe.

Lin Che said, “Do you think you can force us? If we’re unwilling to help, we wouldn’t even come up with a good idea.”

“Ha, if you guys want that guy to die, then you can try playing tricks with us.”

As they spoke, someone in their midst took out a mobile phone.

On the phone was Lu Beichen tied in the water. It seemed like both of his hands were in the air.

Lin Che panicked when she saw that.

What great torture.

“You… You guys doing this will only make us even more unwilling to help you,” Lin Che growled.

However, Gu Jingze only laughed. “Fine, keep him hanging. I’ll think about this matter.”

The few of them scoffed. “We’ll give you three hours.”

Gu Jingze nodded his head and pulled Lin Che out.

“If you guys try any tricks, this Lu Beichen will go to hell immediately.”

Gu Jingze pulled Lin Che to leave.

She looked at him. “Lu Beichen looks really bad.”

Gu Jingze said, “He’s still alright. I’ve said it. They’ll keep him alive.”

When they returned to their accommodation, they saw Gu Jingyan head out.

Gu Jingyan said, “How’s Lu Beichen?”

Gu Jingze said, “It’s the group of Arabic men that did it.”

“What Arabic men?”

Lin Che looked at the situation and explained it to Gu Jingyan.

Gu Jingyan looked even more anxious. “They’re too bold. They think we’re an easy bully target.”

Gu Jingze however, sat there relaxed as though the matter had nothing to do with him.

Gu Jingyan said, “So what do we do now? Now that we know he’s in their hands, shouldn’t we do something?”

Gu Jingze smiled. “They can do whatever they want. I’ve nothing to do with Lu Beichen. Why must I help him?”

Gu Jingyan looked at him in shock. “What? What do you mean it has nothing to do with you? He…”

But come to think about it, it made no connection.

After all, they were already divorced…

Gu Jingyan saw Lin Che again and immediately mumbled, “He’s also considered Lin Che’s biological brother. So, he’s your brother-in-law.”

Lin Che wanted to say that it had nothing to do with her.

Gu Jingze said, “But if he dared to treat you like that, then I will consider all other relations as not related.”

Gu Jingyan said, “What did he do to me?”

“The divorce. Wasn’t it because of him?”

Gu Jingyan turned her head around. Her face flickered with complicated emotions that she did not want others to see.

After some time, she turned back to them. “But he is still Apple’s father.”

Gu Jingze laughed. “So what? Apple can still have another father. She’s still young. We can find a suitable man to be Apple’s father. Moreover, this guy isn’t that difficult to find. You’re the mighty Gu family’s fourth young mistress. There’s plenty who would fight to be Apple’s father.”

Gu Jingyan pouted. Listening to his words made her feel awkward.

“Hey, don’t make it sound like I need a man.”

“Great then. You don’t need a man. So all the more, we don’t have to save him.”

Gu Jingze spoke and stood up immediately.

“Hey, you…”

Gu Jingyan looked angrily at Gu Jingze and stomped.

She was an impatient person. She could not be bothered to talk anymore and immediately went out.

However, Gu Jingyan did not want to let Lu Beichen die.

She stood outside and was deep in thoughts.

Halfway through, she finally decided that she would do it herself.

She picked up her phone. “Get someone to help. I’m in Sweden. Get my army here and…”

She instructed a long list before putting the phone down. She felt that she was being despicable.

But she had not gotten to that stage with Lu Beichen.

She would not watch him die.
