Lin Che turned her head and saw that Gu Jingyan had arrived.

Gu Jingyan smiled as she walked to them. “You are both here.”

Lin Che said, “Yes. Have you seen Apple?”

“Yeah, I did. She’s inside, and she’s fine. I’ll just stay here to watch.” Gu Jingyan looked at Gu Shinian, who was on stage. “Your Niannian is capable now. He’s becoming more and more… like his dad.”

Lin Che shrugged speechlessly. “It’s all because of your family’s genes.”

Just then, Lu Beichen walked in from behind.

Lu Beichen’s eyes met Black Eagle’s. They looked at one another silently and felt somewhat awkward for a brief moment before they turned their heads away at the same time.

Gu Jingyan and Lin Che looked at one another and shrugged speechlessly.

Sometimes, men got shy more easily than women.

Lin Che broke the awkward silence. “Lu Beichen, you’re actually here. How rare.”

Lu Beichen replied, “Why? My child is graduating. Can’t I come to watch?”

“Really? I thought Jingyan behaved like a typical widowed mother. You usually never appear.”

What widowed mother?!

But Lu Beichen looked inside and thought that it indeed seemed to be that way.

Apple was rather fond of her father. She would look for Lu Beichen when she was free.
