” A very long time ago Antonio, A red witçh placed a curse on this land. He cursed the sixth generation and the sixth generation happened to be you. Though the red witçh was defeated then, her curse still prevailed and there was nothing we could do.

But then again, when you were just six years old, the white witch sapphire visited with a solution to save you and the kingdom for the witch’s curse was still strong on the land.

The curse couldn’t be destroyed, but it could be prevailed. The only solution was to marry the child who would one day save us all… ” Lady Castel paused.

“That’s me?..” Audrielle c0cked a brow.

” Yes. Before you were born your destiny was forseen. Only your union with the prince can bring salvation and freedom to this land. ”

Antonio Chuckled lightly like his ears were deceiving him.

Now they speak of witches?… He thought witches were old tales.

“But when Audrielle was born, she fell greatly sick from a strange illness and no physician could treat her. On the fifth day , she died. It seemed like the curse was trying to prevent her from fulfilling the white witch’s prophecy”

A small gasped escaped Audrielle’s lips.

“I died?.. then how am I here?”
For the very first time in her life she felt like screaming out loud.

” You were brought back by the white witch. But the cure wouldn’t last for long. As it implied, you are supposed to give birth to an heir before your 21st birthday. Only the child can save you from death,.. a child from you will make you live. If there’s no child before then, it only means your death. And your death will only bring death to my son, and the land .. then the red witçh’s curse will prevail. ”

Cold shivers ran down Audrielle’s spine.

Now she was getting everything clear.
Now she knows why the queen was always obsessed with their consumation.

She clearly remembered the day she had told her about her pregnancy, how the queen cried on hearing the news.

“Gueneviere is the red witçh. ” Rachel replied immediately.

Audrielle let out a scoff. Now she gets everything.

“Gueneviere. She torments my sleep. I thought you just said she was brought down”..

“Someone, somehow managed to bring her back. ” Sapphire replied.

“Could it be Alex?”
Audrielle asked.

“Who is Alex?” Lady Castel asked.

” Gueneviere appears to me with Alex’s form. .. Alex is Antonio’s ex-lover”
Audrielle retorted, her eyes fixated on Antonio’s who felt rather speechless.

” Maybe she reincarnated the red witçh.”

“That’s not possible, I sent her back long Time ago. ” Antonio quickly cut in.

“I guess you were fooled. It seems she never went back. ” Rachel said.

“It doesn’t make sense. Alex knows nothing about Scotland or witches or magic. ” The prince stated.

“She had help. Or maybe somehow someone used her as a piece offering for the incarnation. That’s why the red witçh appears to you with her form. ” Sapphire replied, clearing their doubts.

There was a small silence.

Antonio walked over to the side of the window.

” I can’t believe I was fooled All these while” he started.

“And I hated my wife thinking it was a her fault I was dragged into this arrangement. ”

Audrielle sighed out.

“This is too heavy. Why did you keep this away from us. From me mother.?” Audrielle sobbed. The truth was weighing her shoulders down.

“I thought it was for the best. we thought if only we could get you both as one without anyone knowing about the curse or the red witçh it would be better,.. then you’ll conceive and save the land without you even knowing. everything was working out fine until someone somewhere brought this upon us.

Our people believes there’s no More magic or witches in the land. we wanted to keep it that way please don’t be angry with me Audrielle. I did what I thought was for the best. ” Rachel pleaded in guilt.

audrielle exhaled sharply.

“it’s too late now. Gueneviere is back and she’s tormenting me and my child. you saw what Happened this morning. my child is in danger. .. if this child dies, we know there’s nothing left for me. ” Audrielle sobbed. she was stating a true fact. a fact that caused fear in everyone.

“I swear with my life my lady, I will not let anything happen to you or our child.” Antonio walked over to her. he held her closely to him self as she wept bitterly.

“no mother will want to experience the end of her child. sapphire please what do we do save my daughter?”

“we still have time. ” Sapphire’s voice broke out. ” a little time. ” she added .

their eyes lit in hope as They patiently waited for her to say something.

she walked over to Audrielle and placed her hand on her stomach.

“you’re loosing your child, young one. The red witçh already has what she wants to take your life and that of your child. ”

Audrielle gasped in tears.

“But there is a little time before us. … Gueneviere hasn’t regained all her powers yet. it will take days. And once the days are complete and her powers are back,.. she will strike and prevail over us. “..

“if we are going to do anything, it Should be now that she is yet to regain all her powers.
with Gueneviere’s power complete, even I do not stand a chance against her for she is too powerful. ”

“what must be done please. “. The fear in his voice could be heard Clearly.

sapphire spared Antonio a glance.

” your wife is in danger. before we think of stopping gueneviere,let’s find a way to protect her and her child for she is not safe. her baby I fear, is in a very critical condition ”

she stopped talking for a moment as she raised her hand, staring at the thin strand of hair which she held lightly, which happened to be from the princess.

she dipped the hair into a bowl with awful concussion. she filtered some leaves into it and began to stir with incantations.
