Lady Castel shook against the thought immediately before walking out.

Rachel,-audriele’s mother stared blankly at the door the queen shot behind. What if the queen is right?

It was dark. So dark and the exhaustion on Alex’s face angered her the moment she picked her water bag only to find out it’s empty.

She shrugged, furiously.

“We are out of water!.. why can’t we just quit this useless journey. It’s Fvcking pissing my a$$ off. We’ve been on trail for the past two days, yet nothing. Can’t you see this is futile?…
We are moving round circles you sledge head. ” …

Her tone could testify how tired she felt as they slowly rode on her horse.

” We are close Alex. ” Mario’s voice was as calm as anything.

“Oh, Fvck you. ” She eyed him in the dark.

“Let’s make camp here tonight, tomorrow we’ll continue again. ” He said, climbing down his horse.

“Are you sure this map is taking us the right way?” Alex asked with a scoff.

“You will never get what you seek” old Esme slowly spoke out, her hands tied to her horse.

“Shut up old lady” Alex grunted, feeling a bit disgusted by her.

Old Esme exhaled sharply as became a bit queit.

Alex helped her down from her horse and tied her to a tree which was close so she wouldn’t escape.

“You stay here and keep your mouth shut.” She threatened as she pushed the old lady to the ground.

Esmeralda cracked a small laugh.
“You have no idea what that young man has in stock for you lady. He’ll betray you without breaking a sweat. Just like he did to his master. ”

Those words shook alex really hard but she was quick to comport herself.
She didn’t reply back, she just left but her heart held on to those words.

She walked over to her horse and tied it to a tree close by. She brought out her a thick cloth which she sprayed on the ground before lying on it.

The moon was half full, from the dimness, she could see Mario standing close to his horse.

Before embarking on this journey, he had told her about a strange Power he seeks. And how the power can make them rule and overcome Scotland as a nation.

Well, that’s what she sighed up for. And not whatever the old lady is saying.

Maybe she said all that to just get into her head or manipulate her against him.

She has come too far to look back.
It’s not like she has a choice to make.
There’s nothing left for her and she can’t just sit back and watch her life wane out in regrets.

Into her deep thoughts, she quickly shut her eyes for sleep.

” What do you think we name this child once it’s born?”
Antonio asked in their Chambers,.. his wife cuddled around his arms as they laid on the bed.

“Whatever name you wish, Antonio” she replied amidst a deep exhale.

“Well, it it’s a girl, . I’ll name her Daisy..”

Audrielle tilted her head towards him, staring into his face in a puzzling manner.

“Why Daisy?..”

“Because her mother loves Daisy.. and plus, daisies are beautiful. ” He kissed her neck.

Audrielle cringed with a blush under his touch.

” And what if it’s a boy?..”.. she asked.

“I’ll name him Logan.. or Chalton”.

Audrielle laughed A little…
She breath a sigh of relief and relaxed more on him.

” I still can’t believe I’m with a child. Like there’s a being growing inside of me. The feeling is just so amazing.. ” she admitted truthfully.

“I can only imagine. ” He retorted. “I’ll carry our next child. Let me also have the same feeling as you’re feeling now. ” He added.

Audrielle Cracked her ribs the moment she heard him say that.

“You speak of an abomination, My Lord.” .

” It’s never an abomination when it comes to my child. “.. He teased the shallow of her neck with kisses.

” Your people will think you’re cursed or probably gone insane. Let’s imagine you with a baby bump. You’ll look so much like a forbidden image. ” She added with a laugh.

Antonio chuckled at her words before silence descended on them.

“I love you Audrielle. “..

Audrielle flinched a little on hearing that.

She turned her posture to face him.. as his grip on her loosened.

” You’ve never said that to me before. “..

” Lately I’ve come to realize how much I’m deeply in love with you. And everyday, I thank the heavens for bringing you to me. Heavens bless the soul of your father for Taking a debt from my father, the king. If not, I wouldn’t have known someone as amazing like you. I love you so dearly and I will never stop. Even if we grow old. “..

He professed deeply for her and she couldn’t help but shed tears.

” I love you too Antonio. I’ve always Loved you right since we were kids. I don’t want you to ever stop treating me with this much kindness and affection. ”

” Never. Not in this life will I stop doing that. I love you more than you can ever imagine. “..

He pressed his lips against hers and kissed her passionately.

“I will always love and cherish you as my wife, my queen… And the mother of my children..”..

He placed his hands on her Tommy after breaking the kiss.

His words gave audrielle warmth and she couldn’t hold much longer as he pulled him to herself and deepened the kiss.

His hands wrapped around her And in the next minute, their clothes were on the floor.

What filled the walls of their room were moans of satisfaction.
The deep night had so much in stock for them. And they enjoyed every moment spent in each other’s arms.

Alex was woken up with a tap from Mario.

She opened her eyes and faced him drowsily.

” Is it morning yet?” She asked. A bit confused.

“It’s almost first light. ” He replied low. And then continued. “But you won’t believe this”..

“Believe what?.. what Happened,?”
Alex got up and took a seat.

“We’re here. We are actually here. The cave of Madonna. ”

Alex blinked in uncertainty.

“How?… We actually stopped to sleep last night. Did we sleep walk?”..

“No. We didn’t. But this morning I figured out why the Track on the map suddenly stopped yesterday was because we actually arrived our destination. Just a few more walks and we’ll get to the cave. See…”.

He showed her the map and somehow, th news gladdened Alex. Finally, she’ll get to know what Mario’s plan has been all these while.

“Let’s be on the trail then. ” She got up and began arranging her things.

She walked over to old Esme who stared from where she was tied.

“Did you even sleep last night old woman?”.. she asked,.. untying her from the tree. But she got no reply.

“Good news,.. we are here already. We’ve found the cave”..

The news gave old Esme a great shudder.

“Let’s move”.. she pulled her up and led her with the rope.

They reached the cave of Madonna immediately at dawn.

“We’ll need light.” Mario said as he lit up a wood with fire. Alex did the same as she followed Mario behind. Walking into the dark cave.

Mario took the lead and was at the front. He had to figure a way inside here where it’ll lead to what he was actually looking for.

“You still have time to rethink this madness. ” Old Esme whispered to Alex as she dragged her Along with a rope.

“Stop talking. ” She hushed her.

“Do you know what you’re about to do with him?.. you have no idea don’t you?”..

@lex muted her.

“He is taking us to where the great red wit—

“We’re here. This is it!” Mario called out to them.

Alex grinned widely.

Their voices echoed in the dark cave. The place was filled with dried skulls of humans and cobwebs..

They sashayed their way through and caught up with Mario.

“What’s This?…”

“It’s a tube…” Mario replied with a wicked smile.

” A tube! Like a tube-like coffin??”.. she scoffed.
She wouldn’t want to believe they travelled all those mile for a coffin.. ?!

“What do we need a tube for?..” she asked in disbelief.

“For this. ”
Mario replied and hit her hard on the face.

Alex collapsed on the ground immediately and her fire fell from her hand.

Old Esme gasped in fear As she watched Mario drag her on the ground.
