He lowered his gaze and placed a long light kiss on her hand.
His lips brought warmth to her. She moved slightly on her bed as her eyes slowly opened.

Those deep blue eyes met with his.

“Did I wake you up?”

Mario led old Esme to a room where he served her some beef and salad for the night. She thanked him before he walked out.

Mario felt a bit restless.

He walked into his quarter and met Alexandra by the window side. She was staring outside.

” You do not intend to sleep here, do you?” His voice broke the silence.

“Well you haven’t showed me to my room yet”.. she replied without sparing him a glance.

Mario was silent.
He pulled off his coat and placed it on a hanger. He sat on his bed and was so deep in thought.

Alexandra noticed his mood.
She walked up to him.

“What troubles you?.. ” she asked, taking a seat beside him on his bed.

After a brief silence, he finally spoke out.

“I am troubled. And filled with so much thoughts. I do not know what to believe. ” He replied.

“What is it?”.. her American accent sounded bold.

” I heard something today. ” He spared Alex a glance before getting up.

Alexandra was curious.

” If you were given a chance to choose power, would you go for it?” He asked, seeming rather serious.

“Yes, not even with a second thought” Alex Chuckled lightly. Power is definitely what she seeks. Something Antonio couldn’t give her. If she had her way, she’d do anything to attain power. It has always been her wish to be above others.

Mario walked over to his old shelf and brought out a big book.
The book was very old and smelled of dust.

He headed towards the lampstand, placing the big book on the table.
Alex got up and walked towards him.

” What book is This?” She asked.

” This book has been in my family for long. My mother used to read it to me in moonlight when I was a child… She read it to be as a story, a myth.. and I believed so.. but Tonight, I got to know otherwise.. ”

He became silent all of a sudden.

Alex stared at the big book and the words inscribed on it.

” TALES OF WITCHES” that was the name of the book.
she looked Mario in his face,.. ” what do you mean by otherwise? What is this book about?” She asked, a bit confused.

” This book is a story of witches. The twin witches of The great queen mother Elphata. The Red and white witches. I grew up thinking it to be a mere story. But Tonight, I got to know the entire truth. I listened to the things Esmeralda said to my master. It appeared that this tale is true. Everything written in this book happened in this land so many years ago..” he explained.

Alex blinked nervously.

“Witches?… Fill me in dude, I’m fvcking lost here. Witches aren’t real, are they?”..

“They used to be real. Magic…. Everything used to be real in this land. But it was cleansed. ”

“I’m so reading this book tonight. ” Alex glanced at the book once more with a smirk.

” So what if the witches and magic are true?… What has that got to do with power?..” she further asked.

Mario smiled.. “you’ll soon know. But my question is, if you were given a chance to choose power, would you go for it?”

“D@mn right. I’ll go to any length for power. ” She replied immediately. Taking the book as she began to flip the pages.

“Did I wake you up?..” the prince asked.

“No,.. no you didn’t. ” She sat upright, she tried to take her hands from his but he held her tight.

“Please, Don’t take your hand off mine” he pleaded with a soft smile.

Audrielle exhaled sharply as she slowly relaxed to his touch.

The prince was sitted beside her on the bed, and the distance between them wasn’t that much.

“Audrielle, … I’m really sorry. ” He lowered his gaze.

“For what?”..

“For what I did few nights ago. I swear by the heavens I will never lay out my anger on you again. mark my words. ”

Audrielle felt a warmth in her heart.

“You have shown me in every way how sorry you are, I hold no grudge against you my prince ”

Antonio smiled,.. caressing her hands more into his.

“I feel like the happiest man alive, having the most beautiful woman carry my child in her. “..

There was a light hue on her cheeks the moment she heard him say that. She blushed fluently with a small smile.

“I’m glad your father borrowed a debt from my father. ” He admitted truthfully, causing Audrielle to laugh out a little. Revealing a perfect dentition.

“.. your words sooth the debt of my heart. ” She replied.

“I really mean my words. These past few days have been the best with you . Something tells me we are destined for each other. ”

Audrielle lowered her gaze as she avoided his eyes. If Taming her with his words were his plan, he better stop, cause it’s seriously working.

His sweet words calmed the depth of her soul..

” Audrielle…”
He slowly raised her chin with his finger.
The moment her eyes met his, he clashed his lips with hers.

Audrielle flashed back to the first time he had kissed her in this room. That kiss was so different from this one.
This kiss held Alot of passion in it. A lot of want. A lot of hunger.

She slowly kissed back . she wasn’t used to it. The prince understood And flowed with her rhythm.
Slowly, he tamed her tongue as he slid in and out of the warmth of her lips.

He dipped his head more and suckled on her strawberried-lips. They were velvet soft and he couldn’t get enough of it.

Slowly, his hands moved over to her hair.. running his fingers through it till it landed on her bare back.

He deepened the kiss more as he moved his hand slowly to her thigh and caressed gently. She was on a light gown and it gave him easy access.

His touch on her skin caused a shiver in her. She unconsciously let out a fearful gasp as his hand worked it’s way up her body.

Antonio noticed that and quickly broke from the kiss.

“I’m sorry, I went too far..”.he withdrew his hands immediately.
It’s understandable to know how much discomfort his touch will bring to her. He understands and tonight, he wouldn’t want to let his desire get the best from him.

“No, .” She quickly cut in, taking his hands back to her thigh. ..

” Whatever you’re doing,.. please, don’t stop. ” She pleaded.

Antonio who could no longer control his hunger for her, quickly found her lips and deepened the kiss.
