“I want you to forget all what Esmeralda said ” sapphire shook off Sally as she began much inquisitive about the little she knows of the White witch.

“Why would I do so?. She’s right. You’re the white witch. I do not see a reason to forget when we might be in danger”.. Sally pressed on.

Sapphire turned to her with a stunned look.

“The land is cleansed of magic already. There is no more force. Gueneviere is lying rotten in her death cave and I do not see any harm coming soon. We are safe”

“No. We’re not,.. we’re only safe if the princess conceives and bear a seed.”

“And who said the princess is yet without a seed? ”
Sapphire shook her head

Sally tried to form a word but couldn’t. She stared blankly at sapphire who went about with what she was doing.

” The land is cleansed of magic already. The people believe it doesn’t exist. For the sake of peace, it’s best it remains that way for the enemy is no longer with us”. Sapphire assured as she began boiling her soup.

Sally nodded bluntly.
She hopes so.

Audrielle could swear she has never looked this beautiful before.
She stared at her friend with eyes filled with uncertainty.

“Your husband awaits you already , my lady. You have to get going” Tarsia’ gently pushed her out of the chamber. She knows audrielle might change her mind about the evening walk anytime soon.

Antonio waited for her outside the palace. At first, he thought she wouldn’t show up cause she was beginning to take too long, but just then, the door opened and she gracefully walked out. Looking more nervous than before.

Antonio eyes transfixed in suprise. He held himself from drooling at the sight before him.
Quickly he walked over to her and stretched out his arm.

Audrielle didn’t hesitate before placing her hand on his. Her eyes blinked nervously.

“You look gracious, Princess”
He complimented with a sweet smile.

Audrielle nodded, shyly.

“The sun is about to set, let us take a short walk before that happens. ” He gestured at her, leading her steps.

He held her as they slowly walked out of the palace premises.

“That is outrageous” Audrielle laughed hard at the prince’s outburst.

“It is but true, my lady. Back in the States I didn’t really get a special treat though. ”

Audrielle smiled. “Well, not everyone sees you as a prince in a strange land. ” She remarked.

“That’s correct I must say,.. but still those pranks and funny names weren’t necessary Don’t you think… ” He chuckled lightly.

“Yes, I think so . But nobody is above pranks. I could play a prank on you and you’d easily fall for it. ”

“You wish” he smirked.

“I’m very serious. I would cook it up for you and you won’t think twice before falling into it. ” She smiled in assurance.

“I pray for such day in a haste” he laughed a little as they kept walking. Her hand still inclined on his.

As they walked along the lane, she relaxed more to his touch and they chatted heartily amidst laughter.

But then, she began to feel dizzy all of a sudden. At first she tried to shake it off but she realized she couldn’t.
She stopped walking immediately,

“Is something wrong, princess?”

“I do not feel alright, my Lord. ” She admitted.

“What is the matter?” He inquired. A bit worried.

“I feel uneasy. I can’t say.” She replied bluntly

Antonio let out a small smile. “Is this a prank on me, ? Don’t you think it’s rather too early to be pulling pranks?”

Audrielle shook her head. “I fear it’s not a prank my Lord. I feel uneasy. And it’s real.” She admitted truthfully.

“Then we better head back to the palace. I could carry you if you want,.. you know there is no carriage with us ” he offered.

“I can walk. You need not worry too much” she declined his offer.

“Okay then” he nodded as they made a U-turn back to the palace.

“How do you feel now?” He asked. Taking the glass of water from her as she finished gulping down it’s content.

It wasn’t long they arrived the palace.

” A bit easy. ” She retorted.

“I’ll leave you to rest now. I have some matters to attend to. ”

Audrielle nodded an “okay”.

He gave her a bold smile as she relaxed more on the bed.

“Do you mind if I call the medicine man?”

“No,. No need for that. I just need a little rest”.

“Okay then” he said and bent low, placing a light kiss on her forehead.

Audrielle breath out sharply as she felt his soft lips on her head. It was a short and brief kiss.

He withdrew from her immediately and walked out.

Immediately he stepped out, Tarsia’ found her way into the room.

“How you feeling now?” She worried.

“I’m fine. ” She replied almost immediately.

Tarsia walked over to her bedside and sat before her.

“Do you need anything?” She asked.

Audrielle nodded. “yes, I need something. I want you to call me Sally. I need to see her”

“Sally?”

“Yes. I haven’t seen her for long. I thought you said she’s back?” Audrielle arched

“Yes, she’s back. But…. Don’t worry I’ll go get her”. Tarsia replied quickly. She got up immediately and walked out.

“What do you mean Sally isn’t around?. I thought she’s back?” Audrielle queried one of the servants,

“Yes , she came back but disappeared few nights after her return. I have not set my eyes on her since then. Her bed is always empty and she hasn’t returned”.

“What are you talking about?. I do not understand. Sally disappeared ?.. she can’t possibly leave without my notice so what is the meaning of this?”

“I’m afraid so my lady. ” The servant bowed her head.

Audrielle felt Blank. No wonder she hasn’t set eyes on Sally ever since. Did she suddenly quit her job.?

“But there’s something else, my lady.”

Audrielle faced the servant with curiosity

“What is it?”

“Few nights after her disappearance, I found a note in her possession. I didn’t touch nor read it for it was sealed ,… And directly written for you.”
. Audrielle arched a brow.

“For me?.. why didn’t you say something about it before now?.”

“I couldn’t, for I thought she’d show up soon and deliver the letter to you herself. I was scared myself, cause I worried myself too for her sake.” She admitted bitterly.

“Go get me the letter now. ”

The servant bowed and left immediately.
In a short while, she came back with a white Sheet in her hand which she handed to the princess’.

“You may leave”

“Okay my lady” the servant bowed and left immediately.

Tarsia stared curiously at Audrielle as she opened the letter and read within herself the scribbled words.

“What does it say? ” Tarsia finally asked when she sensed she was done reading.

Audrielle stared at Tarsia’ for a while.

“The letter says we should go to old Esme’s ”

“What, ? But why?”..

“I do not know. But it says it’s important”

Tarsia swallowed hard.
