MRS RÓDRÍGUÉZ - EPISODE 57
“Do you feel any itch , or pain Dearling?”
The old healer asked as she examined her.
Audrielle shook her head negatively. Her mouth couldn’t form any word. She clearly remembered what happened.. the night that caused her this trauma.
“You are perfectly okay, then”
The old healer gave a warm smile as she began arranging her things into her old clothed bag.
” how,.. how long have I been out?”.. she finally asked.
“Days,.. you mean days?.. two my lady”
She replied getting up with her things.
“Two days?” Audrielle found it hard to believe.
She’s been out for two days?.
“I’ll go now..” The healer notified audrielle as she began walking out of the chamber.
*
The old healer met with the prince and Tarsia’ outside the chamber.
“How’s she?..”
“My Lord she’s fine . She is totally repaired. You can go see her now”. She announced with a blick smile.
Antonio nodded.
“Really?.. I can go see her now?” Tarsia reeked with all excitement, pushing the chamber door open as she ran in to meet her friend.
Antonio breath a little hard. He stared back at the healer and thanked her once more before she left.
He stopped before the door for a long while, contemplating on his next move.
He couldn’t go see her. Not now, his conscience felt too heavy.
She’s finally awake and that is a relief to him.
He can go away for now and talk with the princess when she’s alone. She’s obviously with a friend and he wouldn’t want to disturb a little reunion seeing how close they are to each other.
His brows furrowed into a worried look as he walked out of the premises.
*
“You did that?” Audrielle couldn’t believe what her friend was saying. She stared at her with a wide eye.
Tarsia nodded. “I couldn’t believe I did that too. I was just so angry and I let it get the best of me. You were dying okay. And he didn’t know … He put you in so much pain and didn’t care while he chatted with the guests. That was enough reason for me to go up in smokes” Tarsia’ justified her actions.
“Yeah.” Audrielle nodded,.. her mood slightly fell. ” Thanks alot for being there for me.. especially when I needed someone most” she added.
“There’s no need thanking me. You’d do Same, even more I fear if it was me in your condition. ” Tarsia smiled broadly.
Audrielle picked her fingers.. she still can’t believe what the prince did to her.
It’s still fresh and hurting in her head.
Why does he hate her so much?.
What if he comes to take her just the way he took her few nights ago?
“Hey, audrielle… Alex’s gone”
“Huh?” Audrielle tilted her head in suprise. She didn’t expect that.
Guess Alot really happened while she laid steamed on her bed.
“Why?. I mean what Happened?”
“I do not know. The prince got so angry.. he locked her up in the dungeon to spend a night before sending her back to her country. ”
Audrielle arched a more confused brow.
“What really happened, okay?” She needed to know. This sounded too serious.
The dungeon?
” Well, I couldn’t ask cause it wasn’t my business. I was too occupied with you. I mean it’s a good thing she’s finally gone. ”
Audrielle breath sharply. “Whatever be her offense, it must been too alarming for the prince to bear”
“I guess so” Tarsia’ seconded.
“I know you haven’t had anything yet to eat. Mind if I grab us some food?”
“No. I don’t mind at all. It feels like ages since I last ate” Audrielle smiled.
Tarsia laughed a little as she got up. She was about walking out when she stopped.
“Did you by any chance send Sally on an errand?.. I mean, before the incident with the prince?” She asked.
Audrielle’s brow furrowed. “Sally? She’s back?”
“Oh. You didn’t know?” Tarsia bit her lower lip remembering how Sally wanted to come see the princess the day she arrived, a day before the incident happened.
“No I didn’t. I thought she was still on leave. ”
“She came back a day before the incident. She wanted to come see you but you were asleep. ” Tarsia quickly replied.
“Oh. So where is she now? I didn’t send her on any errand”..
“Nevermind. Maybe she’s somewhere in the palace. Just that we haven’t crossed path” Tarsia’ added before walking out.
Audrielle felt lost for a while.
Sally’s back?. Wasn’t it a little odd that she hasn’t come see her since she’s awake?
*
They had a quiet meal in her Chambers . She didn’t want to come out. It was night already and she felt it’d be okay if she stayed indoors for today.

After the meal, Tarsia’ cleared everything off and set out.
Audrielle took a queit bathe and laid back on her bed. Sleep was far from her. She didn’t know if it’s because she’s been asleep for the past two days or because it wasn’t that late at night yet.
*
Few minutes passed and she got up tiredly. The room was boring her already. She needed to go join Tarsia’ so she’d keep her company. She might even spend the night there. It’s a good thing the prince isn’t back to the chamber yet.
She got up and arranged her self. She made to walk and just then, the door suddenly opened.
Antonio walked in.
Audrielle felt her feet glued to the ground. His eyes met hers and she couldn’t read meaning to them. This is the first time she’s seeing him after what happened. Where has he been?..
He didn’t even bother to come check on her..
Her mood fell slightly and she felt a bit angry towards him.
She moved forward , heading towards the door.
“I’m happy you’re awake..”
Audrielle stopped. She nodded her head to his cold voice.
“Audrielle, I… ” He stopped halfway. It seemed like his words were failing him.
” I Have to go now. I have to see Tarsia’.. ” there was urgency in her voice.
“Is there a problem?.. do you feel pains? I thought the healer said you were…
“I am perfectly okay. I just want to … Spend the night with her.. ” she cut him off.
He nodded.feeling a sharp cut run through his chest.
“I’ll take my leave now..” she finally said..
Taking her feet towards the door.
But a hand pulled her backwards and her face landed on his hard chest.
“I’m sorry”
“I’m really sorry”
Audrielle didn’t know how, but this voice felt so genuine.
“I’m really sorry. I know you hate me but please, hear me out”
******
She suddenly blinked her eyes open. She made to Stand up but she felt a really sharp pain on her stomach, forcing her to lay back on her bed.
“Where am I?” She asked no one in particular. Her eyes darted round. The room was dark and just the light emitting from the old lamp helped her see her environment.
“You should rest. ” A feminine voice said.
A face suddenly emerged from the side of the room.
“How did I get here?” She asked in panick. The pain on her stomach was still there.
” You were in trouble. You kept calling me ”
“But I don’t even know you.” She arched.
Yes, she was in trouble that night. She was dying because she ran a knife into herself.
“No you don’t. ” She smiled.
Sally stared at her in a confused manner.
” I have to go back,.. to the princess. She might be in danger..” she stated in a hurry.
“Relax Dearling. You need to heal.” The lady didn’t sound disturbed. She felt calm.
” You don’t understand. You do not understand. the princess.. she has to be warned. She and the prince might be in danger”.
“It’s too late for that, Sally..”
“What do you mean, how did you know my name?”
The lady got up and sat beside Sally.
“I know everyone from here. I know what happens round the clock from my abode. You do not know me, but I know you.
The night you almost died, your innocence called out to me From this realm. I couldn’t watch you suffer. You were willing to die for something you do not understand. I just couldn’t seat back. I had to come out and help you ”
Sally felt very confused.
“Who are you?”
The lady smiled,.. then her hands went over to her hair. She mentally pulled off her black scaff letting her white hair fall freely over her shoulders.
Sally stared at the lady’s white hair..
She has never seen in the land anyone with such color of hair. No one possess such natural color of hair..,
Except… Except… One.
Except maybe she’s staring at her right now.
“Saphire?”
Her mouth dropped immediately.
“You’re the white witch.?.. it’s True!.. it’s all true! Everything old Esme said. It’s true isn’t it?”.
Fear wrecked her whole system.
