“I don’t want to see you take any more risks,” Emily gently caressed Ethan’s face with her hands.

Ethan shook his head, “It’s not a risk, it’s a responsibility. I’ve said it before, I’m going to make sure you stand at the highest peak in Capital City and see the best scenery.”

“I won’t let anyone who has hurt you get away with it.”

Ethan’s eyes were full of ruthlessness, yet filled with tenderness as they met Emily’s gaze.

“From now on, let me protect you,” Ethan gently wrapped his arm around Emily’s waist.

The next morning, Ethan and Emily appeared in the Pavilion Master Building.

“Greetings, Lord Pavilion Master,” Emily greeted with a slight bow.

The Pavilion Master returned the courtesy with a smile, “Miss Taylor, we meet again.”

Ethan interjected, “Lord Pavilion Master, I plan to take Emily out for a few days to relax. She’s been lying down for too long.”
