As their eyes met, Kenneth Minnx quickly walked towards Ethan Smith.

“You’re Ethan Smith?” Kenneth Minnx looked Ethan up and down.

Ethan nodded: “Yes.”

Without any further words, Kenneth Minnx just asked, “When do we start the operation?”

“The sooner, the better,” Ethan responded.

For Ethan, every second mattered.

After a moment of silence, Kenneth Minnx said, “We’ll act tonight, you lead the way.”

“Alright,” Ethan agreed immediately.

Then, Ethan planned to take Kenneth Minnx back to his house.

But, Kenneth Minnx shook his head and said, “I still have something to deal with, I’ll contact you tonight.”

Leaving those words, Kenneth Minnx turned and left.

Looking at Kenneth Minnx’s retreating figure, Ethan thought for a moment, then followed him silently.

By the time it was noon, Ethan finally returned to his house.

The man with the mustache asked, “How did it go?”

Ethan took a sip of water and sneered, “Fine. The Halcroen Sect has indeed sent someone, but whether or not they can open the Mystic Realm is unknown.”

The man with the mustache then said, “Although the Halcroen Sect is not as powerful as the Capital City Martial Arts Association, their foundation cannot be underestimated. They control many secret techniques.”

Ethan glanced at the man with the mustache and said, “This is also one of the reasons why the Capital City Martial Arts Association wants to annihilate the Halcroen Sect, right?”

“I don’t know,” the man with the mustache shook his head.

“Is there really any right or wrong in such complicated matters?”

Ethan remained silent and said nothing more.

For the rest of the day, Ethan stayed in the house waiting for Kenneth Minnx’s arrival.

When it was nighttime, Kenneth Minnx called Ethan.

He said on the phone, “At eleven tonight, meet me at the Capital City Martial Arts Association. Be prepared, you’ll need to find a way to get us in.”

“Okay”, Ethan consented and hung up the phone.

Afterward, he took out his cell phone and dialed a number for Emerson Holmes.

“Tonight, I need to enter the Capital City Martial Arts Association, and I also have to bring a friend,” Ethan said.

Emerson Holmes was immediately alarmed and frowned, “Ethan, have you gone crazy? The Capital City Martial Arts Association is heavily guarded, and you have an extremely special identity. How can I get you in?”

“Figure it out,” Ethan said coldly.

“Emerson Holmes, no matter what, you have to help me with this. Because… this is very important to me.”

After hearing Ethan’s cautious tone, Emerson Holmes could not help but frown.

Ethan fell silent for a moment and then said, “I will find a way to distract Ms. Hayward.”

“Fine,” finally, Emerson Holmes agreed to help.

Presently, the Capital City Martial Arts Association, except for Ms. Hayward, Emerson Holmes feared no one.

After hanging up the phone, Ethan closed his eyes slightly, waiting for the time to come.

He turned to Broderick and whispered, “Do you want Ms. Hayward to die?”

Upon hearing the question, Broderick’s face changed drastically.

He stared at Ethan and said, “If you dare to hurt Ms. Hayward, I will kill you!”

“Ms. Hayward treats you like her son, and I suppose you have long considered her as your mother,” Ethan pondered.

Broderick snorted coldly and asked, “What exactly do you want to say?”

Ethan said, “If you don’t want Ms. Hayward to die, tell me where to find a Spirit Core.”

“Of course, you can choose not to tell me, but in that case, I will kill Ms. Hayward,” Ethan’s voice suddenly became icy cold.

A struggle flashed across Broderick’s face.

He didn’t want to tell Ethan, but if anything happened to Ms. Hayward, he would be better off dead.

“You can check out the Three-Island Sea,” Broderick said reluctantly.

Ethan patted Broderick’s head and said, “Good.”

Leaving those words, Ethan went to find the man with the mustache.

Together with him, they walked out of the house, and Ethan said, “You have to help me with something tonight.”

The man with the mustache scowled, “What is it?”

Ethan declared solemnly, “At ten o’clock tonight, take Broderick to the outskirts of Capital City and hand him over to Ms. Hayward.”

“Remember, you have to find a way to stall for time, the longer you stall, the better,” Ethan instructed.

The man with the mustache scratched his head, “Why?”

“No more questions,” Ethan said.

After arranging everything, Ethan let out a long sigh of relief.

He couldn’t help but take out a cigarette and put it in his mouth.

“Finally, the day has come,” Ethan whispered to himself.

Broderick, Ms. Hayward, and the Halcroen Sect have all played their roles.

Ethan’s plan can now be executed.

Nine o’clock in the evening.

The man with the mustache left the house early with Broderick, heading towards a place called Swallow City on the outskirts of Capital City.

At ten o’clock, Ethan took out his phone and called Ms. Hayward.

The call was quickly answered, and Ethan got straight to the point, “Ms. Hayward, do you still want to see Broderick?”

Upon hearing those words, Ms. Hayward’s voice immediately sounded anxious.

“What do you want to do?” asked Ms. Hayward impatiently.

Ethan laughed, “Don’t be afraid. I have some good news. If you still want to see Broderick, come to Swallow City in the Capital City tonight at eleven o’clock. Someone will be waiting for you there.”

“Swallow City?” Ms. Hayward’s pupils shrank, and she said coldly and reluctantly, “Ethan, you better not be lying to me.”

“Believe it or not, that’s up to you,” Ethan said.

Without beating around the bush, Ethan hung up the phone directly, showing no hesitation.

Meanwhile, Ms. Hayward tried to call Ethan back, but he didn’t answer.

Because Ethan intended to create a sense of anxiety for Ms. Hayward, forcing her to go to Swallow City as soon as possible.

Everything went as Ethan expected. After making the call, Ms. Hayward hurriedly went to Swallow City.

At eleven o’clock in the evening.

Ethan appeared on time in Swallow City.

He was still wearing the hat gifted by Ms. Hayward on his head.

As for Kenneth Minnx, he had already arrived nearby.

Seeing Ethan, Kenneth Minnx quickly walked over to him.

“Everything’s arranged, right?” he asked coldly.

Ethan nodded, “Yes, just don’t cause any trouble.”

During the conversation, Ethan quietly released his divine sense and scanned the surroundings.

Feeling the faint fluctuations of energy around them, a cold smile formed at the corner of Ethan’s mouth.

Just then, Emerson Holmes walked out of the Capital City Martial Arts Association.

Seeing Emerson, Ethan quickly walked towards him.

“Ethan, who is this person?” Seeing Kenneth Minnx beside Ethan, Emerson Holmes’s face immediately flashed with apprehension.

Ethan glanced at Kenneth Minnx and said calmly, “Don’t worry, he won’t leak any information.”
