Even with that, the terms proposed by the Capital City Martial Arts Association were indeed tempting.

After the meeting, Frederick Cohen dragged Ethan Smith along, intending to find a place to have a hearty drink.

Ethan Smith couldn’t refuse, and since they haven’t seen each other for a long time, he agreed.

The moment they arrived at the restaurant, just as Ethan was about to sit down, two people walked over from the entrance.

These two people were powerful, their presence impressive, striding with tiger-like steps. Anyone could tell they were not ordinary people.

They walked straight to Ethan’s table and politely asked, “May I ask if this is Mr. Ethan Smith?”

Ethan Smith nodded and asked, “Who are you?”

“My name is Pierce Carroll, but others call me Mr. Carroll.”

The visitor was none other than Mr. Carroll.

Ethan Smith frowned and said, “I don’t seem to know you, do I?”

Pierce Carroll replied with a faint smile, “You might not know me, but I have heard of you for a long time.”

Ethan Smith said gravely, “Speak your mind, no need for the formalities.”

Pierce Carroll glanced at Frederick Cohen and then laughed, “May I have a word with you privately?”

Ethan shook his head, “There’s no need, he’s a friend. Just say what you’ve got to say.”

Seeing this, Pierce Carroll simply sat down.

“Would you care for a drink?” Frederick Cohen poured a cup of wine for Pierce Carroll without asking.

Pierce Carroll didn’t hold back, he drank the wine in one gulp, then laughed, “Ethan, I’m here because of the Exchange Meeting.”

“The Exchange Meeting?” Upon hearing that, Ethan’s pupils suddenly contracted!

“Yes, the Exchange Meeting will be held in three days in the Mystic Realm, and we are part of the organizers.” Pierce Carroll explained with a smile.

Ethan Smith slightly narrowed his eyes, “What is your relationship with Tyler Wright?”

Pierce Carroll surprisedly exclaimed, “Tyler Wright? The Wright Family is also one of the organizers, could it be that he has already invited you?”

“Not really.” Ethan Smith shook his head.

Pierce Carroll gave his chest a pat, “That’s good, because I’m here to invite you to the Exchange Meeting.”

“Inviting me?” Ethan Smith raised an eyebrow, unable to suppress a smirk.

“Mr. Carroll, as far as I know, the Exchange Meeting only has limited seats and it’s not easy to get one.”

“But now you are actively inviting me, which makes me question your motives.”

Pierce Carroll couldn’t help laughing, “Mr. Smith, you’re making a mountain out of a molehill.”

“The Exchange Meeting is held to make money and obtain resources, naturally, we hope more outstanding talents can participate.”

“This way, we could earn more profits.”

“We’ve heard about your achievements, Mr. Smith. You’re an elder at the Divine Alchemist Pavilion and hold a sky-reaching formula in your hands.”

“So, you are a person with rare talents and we naturally hope that you can participate.”

Ethan Smith frowned slightly.

He stroked his chin and concluded that what Pierce Carroll had said seemed to make a lot of sense.

“What do you think, Mr. Smith?” Pierce Carroll asked with a smile.

Frederick Cohen who was beside him mumbled, “What the hell is this Exchange Meeting? Why is it held in the Mystic Realm?”

Pierce Carroll didn’t pay attention to Frederick Cohen, he just focused on Ethan Smith, and laughed, “Mr. Smith, please give me an answer as soon as possible. If you are unwilling to participate, we would have to choose someone else.”

“Of course, I will.” Ethan laughed.

“However… I offended Tyler Wright, and he means to make sure I will not participate in the Exchange Meeting.”

Pierce Carroll laughed, “Don’t worry about that, we Carrolls and the Wrights are not from the same Mystic Realm, hence, he doesn’t represent us.”

After pondering for a moment, Ethan Smith stood up and said, “Then, thank you, Mr. Carroll.”

Pierce Carroll also quickly got up and said, “I should be the one thanking you.”

The two of them shook hands, and then Pierce Carroll said, “Then, I won’t bother you anymore. See you in three days.”

Ethan nodded in agreement.

They exchanged contact information, and Pierce Carroll left.

After Pierce Carroll left, Frederick Cohen couldn’t help but ask, “What the hell is this Exchange Meeting?”

Ethan Smith pondered for a while and then explained everything to Frederick Cohen.

Frederick was confused, finally, he waved his hand and said, “Forget it, I can’t be bothered with him anymore. Come on, let’s drink!”

The drinking session lasted till midnight, Frederick was so happy that he got completely drunk.

Ethan, however, was not affected by the alcohol. His mind was filled with recent events.

First off, it was the journey to the Mystic Realm by the Capital City Martial Arts Association, and now Pierce Carroll had personally invited him to the Exchange Meeting.

All of these events seemed too smooth, almost suspiciously so.

After sending Frederick home, Ethan returned directly to the house of the man with the mustache.

All night long, he didn’t sleep.

No matter how he thought about it, it felt strange but he couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

The next morning, Ethan got out of bed.

He sat on the bed, stroking his chin, still carefully reviewing the recent events, hoping to spot a loophole.

Just then, a knock sounded at the door.

As the door opened, he saw Daphne Green standing at the entrance.

Seeing Daphne Green, Ethan Smith’s face instantly turned cold.

“What are you here for?” Ethan Smith asked coldly.

Daphne Green bit her lower lip and said, “Ethan Smith, if I told you that I never knew about Tyler Wright’s intentions, would you believe me?”

“What do you think?” Ethan Smith laughed coldly.

“Everyone knows what Emily’s body means, how come you don’t?”

Daphne Green tried to explain, “Tyler Wright initially told me that he wanted to protect Emily! He said he has always admired the Taylor family, and Mike Taylor, which is why he wanted to protect Emily!”

“And I also sought help from my father, asking him to help get people from the Capital City Martial Arts Association.”

“Because I was rejected, I believed in Tyler Wright…”

Upon hearing this, Ethan Smith’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.

“Are you telling the truth?” Ethan Smith questioned.

Daphne Green quickly nodded, “Definitely, I swear it on my cultivation!”

Seeing this, Ethan Smith’s expression softened.

“Come in, I have something I want to discuss with you.” Ethan said.

After inviting Daphne Green in, Ethan Smith went straight to the point, “Let me ask you, is the information about the Exchange Meeting true?”

“Yes, I heard my father mention it, it should be true.” Daphne Green confirmed with a nod.

Ethan Smith stroked his chin and said, “I have a question, the Exchange Meeting is organized by several aristocratic families from the Mystic Realm, right?”

“Yes.” Daphne Green continued to nod.

“So… Are these aristocratic families in a good relationship with each other?” Ethan Smith inquired.
