The man with the mustache sneered coldly, “Ethan Smith, think carefully. If she really awakens the memories of the masked woman, it will be beyond our control.”

Those words left Ethan Smith deep in thought.

The cautious demeanor of the mustached man couldn’t help but make one worry.

Ethan stood there for a long time without speaking.

His face carried an expression of struggle.

The man with the mustache didn’t rush, he stood by and quietly waited.

A few minutes later, Ethan turned to face the man with the mustache.

“Even if we don’t take her, she will still awaken those memories anyway, right?” Ethan asked.

The man with the mustache nodded, “Yes.”

“Then let’s go,” Ethan took a deep breath.

“At least Clare is still within our control right now.”

“Besides, she may not be as terrible as you imagine.”

The man with the mustache seemed to have guessed Ethan’s decision long ago.

He sneered, “Ethan, let me tell you a story about the masked woman.”

Ethan nodded, gesturing for the mustached man to speak.

The mustached man said, “According to the information I know, the masked woman is not reincarnated for the first time. She is reincarnated once every two thousand years or so.”

Ethan uttered a sound of agreement, waiting for the mustached man to continue.

The mustached man continued, “Every time she reincarnates, she must come to this world through the womb.”

“And her own parents from her last reincarnation died by her hands, as did everyone related to her, including relatives, friends, and even lovers.”

Ethan’s face changed slightly, he frowned and asked, “Why would she kill her own parents? And why would she kill her friends?”

The mustached man sneered, “Let me give you an example. You are Clare’s friend, even her brother, but you are not the friend of the masked woman.”

“For the masked woman, you are just a stranger.”

“The same goes for her parents.”

After hearing the mustached man’s words, Ethan couldn’t help but recall the death of William Richardson last time.

Seeing this, the mustached man said nothing more, and the three of them swam down towards the island.

The mustached man took out a simple space teleportation array platform from his Spatial Magic Artifact.

On the platform, there were densely packed flags. The mustached man stood on the platform, his lips parting slightly, he muttered softly, as if reciting a chant.

A few minutes later, bubbles suddenly emerged around the platform! The seabed seemed to be boiling!

“Hum!”

Accompanied by a mysterious light, a round space teleportation portal appeared in front of the trio.

“Let’s go,” the mustached man said.

Ethan nodded, holding Clare’s hand and whispered, “Stay close to me.”

Clare responded with a sound of agreement and followed Ethan into the teleportation portal.

Since the teleportation platform was right next to the Immortal Slaying Sect, they spent a very short time getting inside the sect.

“What kind of technique is this, it’s amazing,” Clare said with puzzlement.

The mustached man quickly replied with a grin, “This is a teleportation array platform specially created by The Master, isn’t it impressive?”

Clare gave the mustached man a thumbs up, “Very impressive.”

“You have to remember that, remember my face and don’t kill me in the future,” the mustached man mumbled.

This left Clare even more baffled, she rolled her eyes, “Why would I kill you?”

“Let it go, he’s a fool, don’t mind him,” Ethan waved his hand.

“Let’s go, I’ll take you somewhere.”

Ethan led Clare to the tomb.

The mustached man followed behind them but kept a great distance, quite alert.

After about ten minutes, the trio arrived at the entrance of the tomb once again.

Since Ethan had taken away the coffin, the dark energy within the tomb seemed to dissipate gradually.

Although there was still a slight chill, it was negligible compared to the previous coldness.

“This is it,” Ethan pointed at the tomb.

As he spoke, Ethan looked at Clare and sneakily observed her expression.

Unfortunately, there was no special expression on Clare’s face, only bewilderment.

“Come on, let’s go in and take a look,” Ethan said.

“You go in, I’ll wait for you guys here,” the mustached man mumbled.

Ethan didn’t bother with the mustached man, holding Clare’s hand and heading into the tomb.

As the two stepped into the tomb, a sudden burst of cold wind emerged from the underground!

That bone-chilling cold swept over them once again!

Ethan’s brow furrowed slightly, he hurriedly looked at Clare.

And he saw the cold wind rising from the ground, closing in on Clare!

In a moment, the gusts of cold wind actually attached themselves to Clare’s body, forming a tornado-like whirlwind around her!

“Clare?” Ethan suddenly became worried and tried calling out to her.

But Clare didn’t pay any attention to Ethan. In the darkness, her expression was completely hidden.
