ZAMIEL’S MANSION

“Shit, Viona what are you doing here, it’s not safe here at all”, Zamiel grunted.

“What, is it wrong for me to visit my brother”, Viona asked rolling her eyes.

“What are you doing here. You are supposed to be in the main kingdom taking care of mum and dad”, Zamiel asked.

“Yes I know but mum is worried about you. She wants you to come back home and I shouldn’t come back with you”, Viona said.

“I don’t want to go back. I kinda like it in here and besides I don’t want to go without my mate”, Zamiel said.

“Oh you already found her. Who is she, is she pretty. You know I can teach her some spells”, Viona said imagining it in her head.

“Her name is Audriene and if you eventually meet her, don’t creep her out with your stupid spells”, Zamiel said

“How dare you call my spells stupid. It is fun , you need to practice spellcasting”, Viona said in a fake anger.

“Don’t practice any of your spells here, before you turn my chairs to monkeys”, Zamiel said smirking.

“Ahhhh, how dare you. That was before now I’m better. You wanna see me cast a spell”, Viona asked

“Noo, please I don’t want to become a monkey”, Zamiel said and Viona chased him.

“Come back here Zamiel. I’ll kill you. Come here”, Viona said still chasing him.

As this was going on caulder was watching the scene somewhere and he couldn’t help but smile. It’s been long since he saw his young master and mistress play childishly.

Caulder can you stop eavesdropping. You know I can hear your thoughts”, Zamiel said loudly and Caulder ran away immediately.

Viona finally caught Zamiel and beat him until she was tired but Zamiel wasn’t tired one bit.

“Hey you why don’t you feel tired”, Viona asked pouting her lips.

Zamiel smirked, “I’m an ancient vampire remember”, he said and Viona scoffed.

“Show off”, Viona scoffed. “So why are you here exactly because I know it’s not because of what you said earlier”, Zamiel asked.

“You really know me brother. Well the main reason I’m here is to tell you that the main kingdom is in chaos and you need to come back and take over from Dad”. Viona said.

“Why is this happening now. I’m not ready to take over any kingdom”, Zamiel said rubbing his forehead slightly.

“Dad has been managing the kingdom since and he is really sick and weak and dad requested you to be present before he died”, Viona said.

“I don’t know what to do. I will go back to the kingdom but that will be later”, Zamiel said

“Whatever brother, just make it as fast as possible. The kingdom really needs your presence because those elders want to take over the throne”, Viona said

“Greedy people”, Zamiel said mockingly. “Brother won’t you show me my room and won’t you get me something to eat and drink asides blood. I’ve been here for a while now and I’m famished”, Viona said rubbing her belly.

“Hey ona ( Short form of “Viona”), don’t bring your glutton attitude here and go outside to buy foodstuffs because I don’t eat all those you know I drink blood only”, Zamiel said.

“Whatever”, Viona rolled her eyes. “Caulder”, Viona said loudly. “Yes young mistress”, Caulder said. “Can you please show me my room” Viona requested. “This way young mistress”, Caulder said gesturing her to go before him.

“Woah, this mansion is huge. So this is what my brother is enjoying. No wonder he doesn’t want to go back home”, Viona said.

Caulder stopped in front of a door and opened it. “Young mistress, this is your room. If you want anything just call me I’ll be there immediately”, Caulder said, Viona nodded and he left.

“Wow, this room is much better than the one in the kingdom. There’s no way I’m leaving this place” Viona said forgetting she has to come back to the kingdom as soon as possible.

Viona jumped on the bed. “It’s so cozy”, she said. Not long, the door opened and the maids entered inside.

“Young mistress, your food”, they said and spread the food widely on the table and left. Viona was very hungry and she started to eat.

IN THE HOSPITAL

“Kim, the doctor said you will be discharged tomorrow afternoon”, Audriene said happily and Kim smiled.

“I missed you so much Audriene. I thought I was going to die before someone saved me although I can’t remember who the person is”, Kim said sadly.

“Don’t worry, you will remember with time. You know that the doctor said you should not be stressing your brain”, Audriene said and Kim nodded.

“Where is James”, Kim asked feeling scared.

“Don’t worry, Osiris already took care of him. As I’m speaking to you now we’re waiting for the judge to pronounce his judgement but I hope it won’t be a light one. He really deserves to suffer for hurting you”, Audriene said angrily.

“Audriene calm down, getting angry won’t change the past. What has happened has happened and besides it’s also my fault for falling in love with someone like him”, Kim said sadly.

“Hey, it wasn’t your fault that you fell in love with a monster. He was just too blind to see that you are such a sweet girl”, Audriene said teasingly.

“Will you ever change Audriene”, Kim said laughing.

Osiris entered the ward during the fun time and they turned to look at him.

“Oh, you’re back already. What did you get for us”, Audriene asked pouting her lips.

“Don’t worry, I got you pasta and meatballs as you like it and I got Kim an apple pie and fruit juice”, Osiris said smiling.

Audriene grabbed the bag and brought out the contents. “Woah thanks so much Osiris”, Audriene said.

“Thank you Osiris”, Kim said shyly. “Anything for you”, Osiris smiled.

Audriene left the ward to give the two privacy. She went to the restroom. Zamiel came in front of her and she was shocked at first but she became normal when she saw the person’s face.

“Hey it’s you again”, Audriene said. “Yes or you don’t want to see me. If you don’t want to, I’ll leave”, Zamiel said.

“I didn’t say so”, Audriene said biting her lips. “So why are you here”, Audriene asked.

“To see you of course. I really missed you. Did you miss me” Zamiel asked and Audriene blushed and nodded.

“Come closer”, Zamiel said and she did. He pulled her into a hug and smelt her hair.

“What type of shampoo do you use. I haven’t smelt anything of such”, he asked referring to her hair.

“It’s my natural scent”, Audriene replied smiling. She doesn’t know why but she feels safe in Zamiel’s arms and the way she feels when she sees Zamiel or thinks about him is not the same thing she feels when she’s with Liam.

“What is this girl doing to me, why does she have so much effect on me”, Zamiel thought. I always love it when I’m with her. I feel relaxed when’s I’m with her. I don’t know what she’s doing to me but I don’t like it. Zamiel thought.

They disengaged from the hug. “Let’s go somewhere”, Zamiel said and before Audriene could protest they appeared in a fountain. The place was very quiet that Audriene was wondering if human beings do come here.

“No one comes here, don’t worry”, Zamiel said and they sat somewhere.

“Why did you bring me here” Audriene asked.

“You have being busy lately and you have not had a good time to rest well so I decided to bring you somewhere quiet.

I started smiling. “He’s so thoughtful”, I thought.

There was silence and only the sounds of the waterfall can be heard.

“You are coming with me very soon”, Zamiel broke the silence and Audriene turned to look at him.

“What do you mean”, Audriene asked furrowing her brows.

“You were destined to be with me”, Zamiel said caressing Audriene’s face but he still wasn’t smiling.

Audriene didn’t argue any further. She’s was supposed to get angry because of what Zamiel said but strangely she was feeling happy but she remembered she’s getting married to Arnold and her face fell.

“What, you don’t want to be with me” Zamiel asked. Audriene shook her head immediately. “It’s not like I don’t want to be with you but I’m already getting engaged to someone else”, Audriene said sadly.

Zamiel turned her to face him, he raised her chin up and looked into her eyes. “Do you trust me”, he asked and Audriene nodded. “Then I won’t let you marry that guy”, Zamiel said and Audriene smiled.

“I need to go back now, Kim and Osiris will be worried about me”, Audriene said. Zamiel took her away from there back to the hospital.

“Bye”, Audriene said and wanted to leave but she felt a grip on her wrist stopping her from going further. She turned back with a questioning look on her face.

Zamiel ignored it and pecked her on the cheeks and he left.

Audriene was frozen for a minute, she wasn’t expecting that but she was happy. She wished it was on the lips. “Ah what am I thinking”, Audriene slapped her forehead.

I went to Kim’s ward and I met her and Osiris in a deep conversation and she was laughing while Osiris was smiling. They didn’t even notice when I entered the ward.

I suddenly remembered Zamiel. Although it wasn’t long he left but I started missing him then I remembered where he pecked me. I held my right cheek unconsciously.

I wonder why he didn’t tell me his name. I really want to know his name.

ZAMIEL’S MANSION

“Welcome back brother”, Viona said and winked.

“I’m not in the mood for your childish drama”, Zamiel said rolling his eyes and Viona scoffed.

“Whoever this girl is, she must be really special to make you smile because you’re a stone”, Viona said

“Yeah she’s really special, you will soon meet her one day”, Zamiel said smiling and went to his room.

“My brother is finally in love”, Viona said and giggled but Zamiel ignored her and climbed the stairs.

Zamiel climbed his bed and started thinking of Audriene. He smiled unconsciously. He knows he feels something for her but he’s not sure of it.

He definitely doesn’t hate her but he likes her beyond normal friendship. What these feelings are, he is yet to discover it. But he has already decided to take her on her birthday.

REDMAINE’S MANSION

“Mum why did you tell me to come home”, Audriene asked. “Guess what”, Mrs Redmaine asked.

“What is it mum, I can’t guess”, Audriene said.

“Well Bruno, your brother is coming back from the states next week”, Mrs Redmaine said.

“Oh my God mum, is this true”, Audriene asked doubtedly.

“Yes I am, he called me few minutes telling me he’s coming back to UK this week before your birthday”, Mrs Redmaine said.

“Ahhhh, I can’t believe this. Brother Bruno is finally coming back”, Audriene yelled.

“Which day is he coming back mum”, Audriene asked happily.

“He said two days from now, his plane will land so by Wednesday we will go and pick him from the airport”, Mrs Redmaine said.

“I’m so happy mum”, Audriene said hugging her mum.

CLARA’S HOUSE

“Why are you so useless. You couldn’t even do a simple thing. I just asked you to kill your best friend and you failed”, Melaine said with rage.

“I’m sorry, the plan was flawless. She would have died if she didn’t receive that phone call that day” Clara said shivering because she was frightened.

“I give you from now till her birthday. If you don’t kill her before 12pm on her birthday, then I will kill you personally”, Melaine said and left.

“Oh God, what have I gotten myself into”, Clara said sadly almost in tears.
