MATED TO A VAMPIRE - EPISODE 8

IN A RESTAURANT

“Lily, go and attend to the person on table two”, my superior said and I headed for table two.

“Excuse me Sir, what would you like to order”, Lily asked.

For a moment Liam was staring at the young lady. “She’s beautiful”, Liam thought but soon shook it off.

“I will like to have a plate of chicken fries and wine”, Liam said. “Is that all sir”, Lily asked and Liam nodded.

Lily left to get Liam’s order. Liam was just thinking of the lady he just spoke to. He couldn’t help but admire her.

His mind went back to when he first met Audriene. Audriene was a new student then and was the topic of the school because of her hot shape.

A lot of guys asked her out but she rejected them. Then one day, she was rushing somewhere and wasn’t looking at where she was going to.

I accidentally bumped into her all her books fell and we both bent down to pick them up. She immediately apologized and I did the same.

It was then I had time to look at her facial features very well. Damn she was so beautiful no wonder almost all the guys in the school were dying for her.

We finished packing the books and she was about to leave when I stopped her. “By the way I’m Liam”, I said in a polite manner.

She smiled. When she smiled I almost got lost, she looked even more beautiful. “I am Audriene”, she said and left.

After that day we usually talk, eat food together and play. I didn’t know when I started developing feelings for her.

At first I thought it was because I haven’t dated in a long time. Until I saw one guy trying to kiss her forcefully.

I gave the guy a beating of his life and took Audriene out of the restroom. I took her to one class. I then became sure of my feelings but I was scared she’ll reject me.

She was weeping profusely. It took a while to calm her down. I wanted to tell how I feel but I decided it’s not the right time.

After that incident, we became even more closer than before. One day I decided to tell her how i feeling because it was killing me.

I waited for her during lunch break and took her to another class. She asked me why I brought her there and I answered her with a kiss. God knows how long I’ve been dying to kiss those lips of hers.

When we disengaged from the kiss, she asked why I did that and I told her I love her. She was speechless for a minute that I thought she was going to reject me.

I turned around to leave the class feeling bad that my feelings were not reciprocated. I was about to step out when I felt her hug me from behind.

I turned around to look at her. When our eyes met she told me she loves me too. I was very happy, words couldn’t describe how happy I was.

I hugged her tightly and lifted her up. We kissed passionately, we forgot about everything and any one else. I will never forget that day.

“Sir here’s your order”, Lily said and I stopped thinking, I nodded and she left.

I started staring at her again from a distance. When she turned to look at me I looked away immediately.

When I got home, I was thinking about that girl I met at the restaurant. I tried to remove her from my mind but I couldn’t. I rolled on my bed countless times but I kept on thinking about her.

*What has that girl done to me”, I thought. “I love only one girl and that is Audriene”, I reminded myself but I continued thinking about that girl.

IN THE HOSPITAL

Audriene has being waiting for Kim to wake up from coma but she hasn’t. She promised to visit Clara today.

“Hey Osiris, can you please take care of Kim, I want to visit a friend”, I asked Osiris and he nodded.

“You can go, just take care of yourself and if you enter any trouble, just call me”, he said and I smiled. I and Osiris have gotten pretty close during the time we’ve been in the hospital. He even told me he loves Kim and I can see it in his eyes. How he looks at her, cries for her to wake up. I left for Clara’s house.

CLARA’S HOUSE

Everything has already been prepared. I already poisoned the fruit juice she planned to serve Audriene.

Someone knocked on the door and I went to open it. I saw it was Audriene, I faked a smile and hugged her. “Come in”, I said

“Audriene, I invited you over to formally apologize for what happened the other day. It wasn’t my intention to give you a drugged drink. I had no idea it was drugged. Please will you just forgive me”, Clara said and faked an apologetic face.

“I have already forgiven you Clara. I know it was not your fault and it was a mistake so can you please stop apologizing”, Audriene said and Clara nodded.

“So what do you want to drink”, Clara offered.

“I will just have juice”, Audriene said and smiled.

Clara went to the kitchen. She opened the fridge and brought out the juice she just bought. She poured the poison the way Melaine described it and shook it well. She also picked a glass cup and took it to the sitting room.

“Her you go”, Clara said and poured the juice. Just as Audriene wanted to drink it, a call came in and it was urgent. Kim has woken up and Audriene wanted to see her.

“I’m sorry but I have to go. My friend has woken up and I need to be there. Maybe we’ll see some other time”, Audriene said.

“Shit”, Clara cursed under her breath. “It’s okay, you can go, she’s your friend. Don’t keep her waiting”, Clara said.

“Thanks for understanding. I will take my leave now”, Audriene said and left.

IN THE HOSPITAL

“Doctor how is she doing”, Audriene asked and the doctor said he wants to run a test on her.

“Hi Kim, I’m your doctor and I want to run some tests on you. So if I ask a question
if the answer is yes, shake your head once but if it’s no, shake your head twice.

“Do you understand”, the doctor asked and she shook her head once. “We’re good to go” the doctor said.

“Are you feeling pain anywhere”, the doctor asked and she shook her head once. “Do you remember this guy here”, the doctor asked showing Kim Osiris. She shook her head once and Osiris smiled but the smile faded when she shook her head again”. “What about this lady”, he asked pointing to Audriene and she shook her head once.

The doctor concluded and said that she’s suffering from partial amnesia and it will take time before she regains her memory but she will eventually do.

Osiris was heartbroken that the one he loves has forgotten him but he promised to make her remember him by starting afresh with her.

Audriene on the other hand was so happy. She was just hugging Kim lightly and Kim too was smiling. The doctor said that Kim won’t be able to speak for some days because her body is still trying to adjust as a result from the coma.
