KIM’S HOUSE

“Welcome back Kim”, James said smirking devilishly. “Why can’t you leave me alone James, why”, I yelled. He got up and started approaching me gradually while I was moving back until my back touched the wall and then I knew that there’s no way out for me.

When he came near me, he used his hands to trace my face but he had a dangerous look on face. I was shivering under his touch, I was very scared.

“Honey, can you see what you’ve caused”, he said pointing to bleeding head. “It wasn’t me”, I replied stammering and he slapped me really hard that I even felt one of my tooth remove and my mouth was bleeding.

“Please James don’t do this, I’m sorry please, just let me go. I promise I won’t ever cross paths with you again please”, I cried and begged James.

He laughed and said “Let you go, you must be joking. It’s like you really don’t know me Kim. I’m a devil. Yes you heard me right and I will make sure you suffer the same thing I suffered”, he said

I tried running away but he dragged me back and hit my head on the wall. I fell really hard and the floor, my ribs hurts really bad but I cared less about that all I wanted to do was to leave this place before James kills me.

I crawled on the floor to get my phone from my bag so I can call someone…. anyone at all. But I was stopped by James, he stepped on my fingers and dragged my hair. It was painful, by now I was already soaked in sweat. My body was a mess, blood coming out from different parts of my body. It really hurts.

I managed to use the last strength in me to kick his d*ck and he groaned. I quickly picked myself and dialed the first number that I saw and that was Osiris’s number. He picked and I was about to talk when I felt a slap on my cheek and my phone fell from my hands.

OSIRIS MANSION

When I heard my phone ringing, I checked it and saw it was Kim and immediately picked the call. She was about to say something but I heard a noise, as if someone hit her and her phone fell down but the call wasn’t disconnected.

“Hello, Kim are you there”, I yelled but got no response. I was hearing noise though it was distant but it obvious that something bad was going on.

I took my car keys and headed to Kim’s house. When I got there I saw Kim being beaten up by the same guy that wanted to rape her earlier.

I pushed the guy away and made to get Kim but the guy punched me. Blood came out from my lips and I gave him the beating of his life after that I called the cops to arrest him before he runs away.

I rushed to where Kim was. She was still alive and I sighed in relief. I carried her in bridal style and took her to my car. I drove straight to the hospital and they attended to her immediately.

I was in the hospital for over an hour yet no one has said anything to me. She was in the operating room for how long God knows. I became restless, I started packing back and forth. By now my hair was already scattered because I was scattering my hair.

Thirty minutes later, the doctor came out. “How did it go”, I asked him immediately. “Are you her husband”, the doctor asked and I had to say yes, not like I had another option. “Let us talk in my office” he said.

“Her condition is critical, her chances of waking up is low. Although we were able to stabilize her but she suffered serious internal bleeding, some of her ribs were broken and most of her internal organs were damaged. The surgery was even a miracle. So I want you all to pray because we as doctors have done our best”, the doctor.

For a moment I felt the world has ended. I couldn’t even hear what the doctor was saying again. I walked out of the doctor’s office in a disorganized manner. I went to ward where she was kept.

Immediately I entered, I almost fell, I used the chair as support. I cried seriously,I was holding her hands. She was connected to various machines with the use of tubes. All her life activities were done by machines. She was in a hopeless state now.

For a moment, I blamed myself. If I had come earlier, all these wouldn’t have happened. “Please Kim wake up, don’t leave me alone, please wake up”, I cried even when I knew she wasn’t hearing me.

I heard her phone ring and I saw the number was saved as bestie and I picked the call. “Hey Kim, where did you keep your phone, I’ve been calling you for how long now”, her best said. “Kim is in the hospital”, I said and she screamed so loud I had to put the phone far from my ears.

“What happened and which hospital is she in”, her bestie asked. “McKenna’s Hospital”, I said and hung up. I looked at Kim once again and I sighed.

Later the door opened and a young lady entered and I could tell she was the girl I spoke to on the phone.

“Ok Kim, what happened to you, you promised me you will stay away from trouble”, she cried and turned to me and asked ” how did this happen”.

“She was badly beaten by her ex boyfriend and I rushed to her house when she called me but it was already late and the doctor said the surgery was a miracle and her chances of survival is low”, I replied her trying to be strong.

The girl cried badly, I wanted to cry but I had to console her. “Kim please wake up, you’re the only friend I have”, the girl cried but Kim didn’t wake up

CLARA’S HOUSE

I was waiting for the woman in black to come. “I guess you are really waiting for me”, Melaine said and I almost fell. She started me.

“So what’s your final decision, have you decided to work with me or not”, Melaine asked. “Yes I’ve decided to work with you”,’ I replied.

Melaine chuckled, ” I knew you were going to agree. You won’t regret this”, Melaine said.

“So how do we get Audriene out of the way”, I asked. “Calm down, you’re really impatient. I will give you a poison which you will put inside her food or drink so she will die in minutes”, Melaine said and I nodded.

The woman in black brought out a small black wrapped cloth containing the poison. “And be careful when using it, just a pinch and it will do”, she said and I nodded.

“I will be expecting results soon, and I hate disappointments” she said and vanished. This time I wasn’t scared. I looked at the poison in my hand and smiled. “Soon you’ll be gone for good Audriene”, Clara said.

IN THE VAMPIRE’S KINGDOM

“Caulder are you through with the arrangements”, I asked. “Yes Lord Zamiel”, he said and bowed.

I was preparing a room for Audriene because it’s just a matter of few weeks and she will live with me. I smiled at the thought of it.

I was lost in thought when I started having strange feelings. It was a sad feeling, I knew it wasn’t my own. My mind immediately went to Audriene, I went into her mind to know what’s wrong.

Her best friend is in the hospital and her chances of surviving is low. She was in a serious dilemma. I wanted to go and see her but I sensed another human’s presence and it was a male.

He was hugging Audriene, I became jealous. I wanted to punch his dad right now but I don’t want to make my presence known. I decided to see Audriene in the night when everyone is sleeping.

I decided to give Audriene a call and invite her over. I will pretend that I was sorry for what happened during the hangout. Give her a juice with the dissolved poison. She will drink it and die immediately. I was happy with my plan.

“Hey Audriene, I’m really sorry for what happened in the bar, it was a mistake. I guess I picked up another person’s drink”, I said faking a sincere voice.

“Don’t worry, I know it’s not your fault I’ve already forgiven you”, Audriene said.

“What a fool” I thought to myself. “Thank you for understanding. I was thinking of inviting you to my house today so we can talk”, I said.

“Sorry, I can’t make it, my best friend is in the hospital and I don’t want to leave her sight”, Audriene said.

“Shit”, I cursed in my mind. I guess I will have to try again some other day. “Don’t worry, I understand, take care of your bestie, bye”, I said and hung up.

Out of anger I threw my phone in the floor. The plan would have being flawless if Audriene didn’t spoil it.

It was already night. I decided to visit Audriene. She was sleeping, her hairs fell on her face. When I removed the hairs from her face, I saw her face clearly. She had being crying for so long. I felt a sharp pain in my chest.

I wished I could bear this pain for her but it isn’t possible. I can only take away physical pain not emotional pains. I decided not to wake her up. She really needs to rest. I kissed her forehead and
disappeared.
